Mindful Monday With A Gatefold Flower Meadow

Our Lavinia online Class for Crafty Capers went very well and the ladies 

made the most fabulous cards. 

Honestly I am so proud of them all 

It was so good to meet new crafty friends and spend time with some old friends too.

Online Class at Crafty Capers

Friday catch up

Hi everyone,

It is another cold, icy one here. 

I have been on extra grandma duties over the last couple of days , as we have Jenson unwell again.

In fact I have just been out for a walk with Eric and it is going very cold again.

Happy Monday

Hi everyone, 

thanks so much for popping in today. 

I hope you had a lovely weekend. 

I had a very busy one, but it was wonderful. 

I spent 2 days demonstrating with Lavinia products at 

The Stamp Pad in Oldham.

Thanks so much Gwen for asking me. 

It was lovely to spend time with like minded people, to see old friends and meet new ones.

There was an endless supply of cheeky brews and so much cake…it was heavenly 

Thanks to everyone who came, and to those who attended the Make & Takes with me. 

Also to Lisa and Freda for your help.

I was so chuffed with the cards that the crafters made, such a clever bunch.

I adore it. 

I really appreciate them all, 

It is so wonderful to be part of this crafty family. 

I must admit that I am shattered today and my neck is a little bit sore too. 

Maybe I need a little nanny nap.

Mid month reminder - Lavinia Challenge

Hi everyone, thanks so much for popping in today, 

and Hello to our new subscribers. 

I do get excited when we have new members to our family on here. 

Today I am sharing another design for our Lavinia Challenge 

The January theme is 

A Touch Of Sparkle..

Remember the winner is chosen at random and wins £40 to spend at Lavinia..

I started off by using one of my ready made backgrounds. 

This was one that I had made for my YouTube video on panel cards. 

I added some stamping, 

Some grounding 

And some sparkle using the glitter, sparkle posca pen. 

For added sparkle and dimension I stamped Ariel’s  wings again and painted them with some metallic gilding Polish 

So that I could decoupage them. 

Look how the sparkle posca pen shines…I also added some splats with it..

Well , I do love my splats….🧡

The sentiment is one of the sentiment stickers…

I do find these so useful…

Diary Dates

I hope you are having a lovely, relaxing Saturday. 

I got up early and walked Eric…in the rain…

Then after breakfast I took Karl to watch Elliot and Jenson at their football training,,,

again in the rain…

And oh my, 

It did rain…

So we are now back home and I have a lovely warm coffee.

Wow, it’s looking a busy year already.

Hi everyone,

A Touch Of Sparkle

Good morning everyone, 

Happy New Year.

We start the new year with a new Challenge over on the Lavinia Website

Our new theme is 

A Touch Of Sparkle

Here is some inspiration.

I wanted to use my Stamping Foam again.

This time I teamed it up with the White Orbs stencil

and some blue Elements ink pads 

I used the large circle mask to give me the outer shape 

Next I added some stamping , carefully masking off the rest of the card 

I added some 3D shading using pastel pencils, 

Then some bubbles using the white orbs stencil and black fine liner pen.

I wanted to have my sentiment on a curve so that it complemented the while design.

So I curved it on the acrylic block.

Now on to some sparkle, 

First I used mica powder and water and painted some on the design. 

Next I used a quickie glue pen and some holographic glitter.

Wow, look at that sparkle.
