Slate coaster

Good morning all,
I hope you are keeping well.
Today I am going to share one of my samples from today’s ODS

I decided to do something a little bit different.

This is a slate coaster.

I stamped the Daisy elegance stamp using a Staz-On ink pad.

Next I added some paint,
And I went for different colours than I would normally use.
I had so much fun creating this.

I added some of my favourite Posca pen .
Then finally I sprayed some Spray and Shine from Crafters Companion ,
This is important so that the coaster can be used.
It is important to varnish things that we use.

One thing that I love to do is find different surfaces to stamp on,
Karl is getting worried, with this lock down...but I have promised ,
Not to stamp on him,,,lol...

Take care everyone,
Nearly coffee and biscuit time here .

Much love and hugs
And thanks for your continued friendship and support

A spring Monday

Good morning all,
How are things today?
I hope you are keeping well
We are keeping to our routine, up early, walked Eric and now in our little offices.
Karl is in his office upstairs and I am in my craft room downstairs.

I hope you are enjoying the little homework projects.
It is so lovely to see what you make,
If you are on Facebook please join my group
Jo’s Workshops
And there you can chat and inspire each other too.
Also I will keep putting the video's on my YouTube channel

I really can’t wait until we can all be back together , sharing a hug, chatting and having
coffee and cake.

In the meantime,
I have some homework for you.

A nice CAS card using just two colours of distress oxide ink and an acrylic block for the background.

Then stamping using VersaFine ink, nocturne

Next I added some foliage and blending .

My favourite Lavinia script stamp.

I used Inktense pencils to add a pop of colour.

I hope you can join in and create this little scene.
It would make a lovely card to send to a friend, just to say hi,,,

These are the stamps that I have used,

Remember I can post them out and I am offering 10% for the online workshop discount.

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Tree of Wisdom

Good afternoon all,
I do hope you are keeping well, and that you remembered to alter your clocks.
Wow, that just added to all those strange feelings, life is just so out of kilter at the moment.

Today I thought I would share a new stamp with you from Lavinia Stamps.
It is called Tree of Wisdom.

Just what we need at the moment.
Lots of wise advice .

I started by stamping the tree in Versafine Clair ink, Nocturne.

Next I added some tree hives and a bunny.
I do like to add a few doodles with my black fine liner pen too,

I used distress oxide ink and water to add some colour.

Faded jeans oxide ink and a moon mask were used to create the background.

Plus some stamping with my favourite Sacred Spells stamp.

A black sharpie line around the edges and my design was complete.

This would make a great Easter card,
After all I think we will be sending cards this year , certainly not visiting family and
having an Easter egg hunt.

This was sent to me ,
It cheered me up,..
Hope it makes you smile too.
Thanks Claire. ❤️

Take care everyone
Much love and hugs

Spring forwards

Good evening everyone,
Do remember to alter your clocks tonight

Today I had a little play with one of my favourite stamps.
A CAS design with the Knibs and mushrooms stamps by Tracy Evans.

A quick and easy design
Some masking

Some blending

Some stamping

And some ink and water flicking

A sentiment and some Posca splats to finish off

Enjoy your evening all.

Stay safe
Much love and hugs

Friday 27 March 2020

My lovely friends.

Good afternoon all,
I hope your Friday is going well.
We have just got home after attending Heidi’s funeral service.
These things are upsetting at the best of times but believe me they are just so unreal at the moment.
Close family only, no flowers, everyone wearing gloves, no hugging and an empty pew between families.
Such a difficult day.
It has been made easier though, by all your lovely messages, cards and flowers.
Karl and me thank you so much.
We are so lucky to have such amazing friends.

So today I am sharing this design with you.
The colours really make me smile, and that is just what I need today.

I really enjoyed creating this and I have made a YouTube video...

You can find it here.

I hope you can take a look, and I hope you enjoy it.
It is just me, playing at home and yes mum,
I do go on a bit.
There is a reason that you call me
Chatterbox.

The stamp set that I used is from Aall & Create and is designed by the lovely Tracy Evans
#266 Daisy Elegance

Do take care everyone,

Much love and hugs

Homework

Good afternoon everyone,
How are you today ?
I hope you are feeling ok and keeping well.
I have to say that I am happy to comply with the recommendations of having a warm drink every 20mins.
That is my sort of ratio for coffee and cake...

Please take care everyone,

As we can’t meet up and craft together I thought that we could have homework
So I will post some homework projects on here.
Also I will make some more YouTube videos .
I have also got a group on Facebook
It is called Jo’s workshops.
On there I will post the homework plus a little video...
Where I can I will create a workshop kit (at a reduced price ) and
Will post it out to anyone who wants it.

So here is your homework

This is the front of the card

And this is the inside

It uses the fabulous new Fritillaria stamp by the lovely Tracy Evans,

I also used a couple of distress oxide ink pads, stencil brushes and Inktense pencils to add some colour.

This is the kit should you wish to buy it
It is £10
Just email me    jrcrafts28@gmail.com

Please take care everyone
Enjoy some rest, enjoy some creative time .

I am going to try and get into my garden later..

Virtual hugs

Hi everyone,
I do hope that you are keeping well and staying safe,
Life is certainly different at the minute.
We didn’t have our Cumbria class on Saturday..
It was so strange not to see everyone.

So I decided that I would sent the ladies some homework.
This is the card.

This is the front, I used a selection of Lavinia stamps.

And this is the inside.
Notice that I have left space for greetings .

I really enjoyed creating this card, and I am looking forwards to seeing
what everyone makes.

I think we may need weekly homework.
Don’t you ?

Take care everyone.
Stay safe.

Big virtual hugs

Saturday in Anglesey

Good evening everyone,
I do hope that you are feeling well.
I do think the world has gone mad at the moment, one visit to the supermarket ,
and wow people have turned into locusts.
So many empty shelves.
It is just mad .

Our Anglesey workshop managed to go ahead on Saturday, I am keeping up to date with the
current guidelines,
Obviously things are going to get worse for a while,
I fear that April maybe a dry workshop month.
I just hope it doesn’t last too long and that everyone stays well.
I will keep blogging and making YouTube videos,
So you won’t get rid of me,,,

Back to Saturday,
It was such a lovely class and the ladies made the most amazing accordion  cards.

I must thank Tracy Evans for getting me into these.

They are a great way to create a story

Or just repeat a design

To make a special card

Try out new stamps

Or new techniques.

The ladies made the most amazing designs.

And they are all so different

I am so proud of you all.

If accordion cards are not your thing

This is a great way for creating numerous toppers.

I was given a wonderful Easter present too,
Thanks so much Susan.

I think there may just be some chocolate in there...yummy.

Karl is in Aberdeen at the moment, he is so busy bless him, and with his job,
He is likely to get even busier.

So I am trying to get ahead with my to do list.
Lots still to tick off

Take care all
Stay safe.

Love and hugs

Friday 13 March 2020

Good evening all.

Good evening everyone,
I do hope that you are keeping well.
Both Karl and myself would like to thank you for all your beautiful cards, gifts,
flowers, plants and messages of support.
They really have touched us.
I personally must thank you for helping me and holding me up, so that I could
do the HOCHANDA shows on Tuesday.
They really were a challenge.

Thank you to everyone who tuned in.

Those who emailed and messaged me.

Plus to the presenters, Rachel and Adam.
Who really looked after me and made me smile.

It was a long day on Tuesday and I was so glad that Karl was with me and did the driving.

On Wednesday it was our Hazel Grove workshop.
We created a trifold card.

This was the front

And this was the back

It was such a lovely class.
Then Thursday is grandma duties taking and picking up the boys from nursery.
This week Jenson was poorly and I had to pick him up early, he ended up at hospital last night.
Then would you believe Elliot needed picking up early today too,
So I have really been on grandma duties .
What a week it has been .

It is our Anglesey workshop tomorrow.
I have just finished packing my bags and Karl has loaded them into the car.

Time now to put my feet up.
Hope you are doing the same

Take care all
Much love and hugs
