Another YouTube

Good afternoon all,
Thanks for popping
Time for a brew , feet up and just relax.
I am just back from walking Eric, and it is nearly dark...
Oh that hour has made so much difference.
I have spent today just working on future workshops,
Just taking my time, no point rushing.
Well, I can’t rush at the moment.
I have my flu jab tomorrow morning,
I’m usually ok with it, fingers crossed I will be this time too.

I have had a couple of messaging from Crafters asking for a step by step for this recent design .

So I thought I would make a little video.

Then you can craft along,
Maybe try different colours,
I would love to see your makes .

The YouTube tutorial is here

I really hope you enjoy it.

Oh and thanks to Sheila for a beautiful box of chocolate and to Diane for your exquisite gift ,
they both arrived yesterday

Take Care everyone
Love and hugs

This is such a great way to make backgrounds
But also fabulous with stencils

I have created a quick YouTube video to show you how to create this one,

Enjoy

Time now for a cup of tea and an episode of
Escape to the country

Thanks for popping in,
Take care

Where did that week go ?

Good afternoon everyone,
Thanks so much for popping in.
So sorry that I haven’t blogged for a week,
I just don’t know where the time has gone

Thanks to you lovely friends and followers for you get well wishes, cards and gifts.
Honestly ,
I really appreciate them.
I am slowly getting better, but it seems to be a good day, followed by a not so good day.
The doctor phoned this morning and is going to try me on some new medication, and send
me for a chest X-ray.
With my voice still being a bit husky he wants me to see an ENT consultant too,
I did tell him that Karl is enjoying some peace and quiet.

As you know I should have travelled down to Peterborough today ,
ready for the HOCHANDA , Lavinia shows tomorrow., but
obviously I have had to stay at home.
So Mandy has stepped in.
Thanks Mandy.
She is on at 10am and 2pm

I have a couple of samples to share with you...

And

Also

These stencils really do go so well with the stamps

So many possibilities...

Enjoy your evening

Take care everyone

Butterfly Thursday

Hi everyone, hope you are keeping well.
Welcome to our new followers, it is so lovely to see you here.
Pull up a chair, make a brew and enjoy.
Today I am sharing one of my Aall & Create samples with you.
Mr Bossman Abs is on HOCHANDA for the next few days,,,
It is the 4th Birthday celebrations...
and yes, I have sent him cake,

Even though I have felt so unwell, I have enjoyed creating samples with this new release..
Everything just took twice as long...

I do love butterflies.

I started with a nice inky stencil background.

Added some stamping

And then some colour

I stamped the butterfly out a couple of times so that I could add some dimension to the design

I love all the little extra stamps too, look how it is all coming together

Some white paint for highlights , I love the finishing touches,
Here is a closer look

It is lovely and sunny here today...
I hope you have some sun and that it makes you smile.
Take care all,

Love and hugs

Where did that week go ????

Good afternoon  everyone,
Hope you are keeping well.
Sorry I haven’t posted on here for a while but I have been busy making samples
for the Aall & Create shows later  this week.
I still feel unwell, so it has been slow going.
Honestly it is about time that I felt better and I really Need my voice back.
This husky noise is really annoying me,,,

Although Karl is enjoying some peace and quiet

I have put the sneak peeks in groups
Depending on who designed them
I love to guess...
Can you guess ?

And

The next one is easy...

Enjoy your evening all,
I’m just off to cook some food, and hopefully chill .

Take care all
Love and hugs

Monday catch up

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you are feeling well and that
you had a lovely weekend.
It was our Autumn Lavinia retreat,
Online now...
Although we couldn’t meet up and hug ,
We still managed to craft together , catch up, drink coffee and eat cake,
Although the last 2 , were probably just me.
As it was only 2 hours each day my voice managed to hold up and I could rest in the afternoon,
So I don’t feel to bad today.

We created some Christmas projects,

This is how my tryptic arch looks now...
It was so lovely to spend time with such wonderful friends,
A couple of our group were unable to join us but the beauty of online classes is that they can catch up anytime..

Don’t forget that I have some prerecorded online classes
They are only £6 per class , you can watch them whenever you want
and as many times as you walls like
Just email me for more details...

jrcrafts28@gmail.com

I am off now to walk Eric in the rain...

Enjoy your afternoon
Much love and hugs

All Hallows’ Eve

Good morning everyone,
I hope today finds you well.
Welcome to our new follower, it is always so exciting to have a new crafter joining us.
Pull up a chair and make a brew.

Today , as it is the first of October
We have a new Lavinia Challenge.
It can be found on the Lavinia stamps website

The new theme is
All Hallows’ Eve

Here is what I came up with...

As you know I love inky play , and I just couldn’t wait to use my new ink pad
Crackling campfire
In my head
Burning Bonfire...!!!!!grrr

More ink blending , adding some brown ink

Followed by water splats....and a couple of big ones...
Don’t worry
We can hide them

Next came the stamping
Now I have to thank Lisa for serving the Urchin as a pumpkin
Thanks mate

I love to mix colours of VersaFine ink

I added extra colour with pencils and then some charcoal to create a misty scene.

I had such fun making this

Hope the little face makes you smile.
We all need to smile, especially at the minute.

I am slowly getting better, but it is slow,
So to anyone else under the weather
Here is a big group hug

Take care all
Love and hugs
