Nearly Christmas

Good evening everyone,
Thanks for popping in.
I do hope your week has gone well.
It has been very busy here,.
Karl had a hospital appointment on Wednesday and had his plaster taken off, he now has a fashionable , inflating boot.
He is still none weight bearing, so still lots for me to do.

So I thought I would take a few minutes out
To wish you all a very Happy Christmas.
I hope it is a happy and healthy one for you.

Hopefully by now you will be putting your feet up and relaxing.

This is a card from last year but I think it still looks classy.
That is the beauty of great stamps , they stand the test of time.

I started with some stamping

Then added some colour.

Followed by some delicate stencil work.

Some finishing touches, some snow, and my design is complete.

I do hope you like it.

Enjoy the next few days.
However you spend them, enjoy every minute.

Much love and hugs

Mindful Monday , on a Tuesday

Hi everyone,
So sorry that I am late…
It is so hectic here…
Karl is doing well, but obviously none weight bearing so everything seems to be taking me ages.
I still have this horrible bug, and those of you who have it know what I mean.
Thank goodness for night nurse…
I will apologise in advance and my YouTube that I have recorded for later in the week, has some coughing in it..
No matter how many times I tried to record it,,,my voice played up.
So I’m so sorry..
But at least I didn’t give up and just not bother.
You know that you all mean more to me than that.

Now yesterday I had my
Mindful Monday video…

But I’m so sorry for some reason I forgot to blog it…
Naughty me,,,,I’m so sorry..
(Hope Santa didn’t notice,,,otherwise I will be
on the naughty list !!!! )

I do hope you enjoy it.
Take care all,
I will pop back later with our Technique Tuesday video to share.

Much love and hugs

Catch up time

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for popping in today.
I do hope your weekend has started well.
It has been a busy few days here.
Jenson is slowly getting better, but oh what a nasty virus he has had.
Karls operation went well on Wednesday and
I collected him on Thursday and brought him back home.
It has been quite full on looking after him, especially as he is in plaster and non weight bearing.
Thank goodness he is a master with his crutches.
I have his 2 hourly meds all on a chart , plus his injections.
Well us crafters do like charts , don’t we?

I have certainly been getting my steps in too, with all the running up and down stairs .

We woke up this morning to light snow
Eric loves snow and he had a great time on his walk.

The boys have just been round to visit grandad and brought him an egg custard from Mandervilles…
Now those of you who like music by our Harry Styles will know
That is where he had his first Saturday job.
We still get young girls visiting the village and going in to buy his favourite bread roll

I have  some crafting jobs to get finished this afternoon,

So I am off to get some lunch for Karl, give him his medication and then nip into my craft room.
Thanks so much for all your lovely comments,
emails, and messages.

Much love and hugs ,
Jo xxxx

Technique Tuesday with Sticker stencil fun.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for popping in.
What a past 48 hours it has been
Jenson (who is only 3 ) ended up in hospital yesterday and was sent home this morning with antibiotics.
By mid morning he couldn’t swallow, or speak and his tongue and throat were swelling.
Such a worry.
I drove  Danielle and Jenson back to hospital where they stayed all day..
Once Adam had finished work in Chester he could join them , and I picked Elliot up from school
I can’t believe that there is now a shortage of paediatric beds and antibiotics.
So much so that Jenson has just been discharged again, and sent home with different medication whilst we wait for his test results.
All this the day before Karl has his ankle operation…
and we have 3 months of his recovery to look forwards too.
Good job I still have my nurses uniform lol

And relax

I am late but I do have my
Technique Tuesday video to share with you…

You can find it here

I do hope you enjoy it.

I’m off now to make a nice hot chocolate
and put my feet up

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Have A Fairy Merry Christmas

Good morning everyone,
I do hope you had a lovely weekend.
We spent ours with Elliot and Jenson.
We went to visit Santa, went to our local village Christmas Fair and did some Christmas crafting.
Karl has his ankle operation on Wednesday and will be in plaster for 6 weeks, then a boot for another 6 weeks.
So it was important to spend as much time with the boys as possible whilst he can get around.
Oh the joy of looking forward to being his nurse lol 😂
Bless him…

I have also been trying to get on top of Christmas shopping, card making and getting all the decorations up.
How are you doing with your festive jobs ?

If you need some quick Christmas cards the sticker stencils are fabulous.

The tree one is just perfect, and so useful.

I love the small stencil brushes for the delicate parts of the sticker stencils.

This one in particular lends itself to extra stamping and some double stencilling.

I added some extra detail in the corners…
Well it would have been rude not too.

Next a couple of fairies and a sentiment.

To finish off I hung some baubles on the tree using liquid pearls.

I do hope you like it.

Just before I go , I am sharing a photo of the boys with Santa…
Just to make you smile.

Have a lovely day…and I will pop back later with our
Mindful Monday .catch up video.

Much love and hugs

Snow Falling

Hi everyone,
Welcome to December
and a  new Lavinia Challenge

Our new theme is

Snow Falling

I can’t wait to see all your fabulous designs.

Here is some inspiration from me

I do hope you like it.

I started by using a 7x7 Kraft card blank from Lavinia

.
I have stamped straight onto it using Versafine Clair ink- Pinecone.
I must admit that I love creating designs straight onto card blanks,
It is a bit scary….but Greta fun.

Next I added some festive foliage

Followed by some colour.

Once I added some scenery the whole design took a winters feel,
I also added some snow using my white posca pen.

Obviously I had to decorate the envelope too.

Here is a closer look
Have you noticed the little robin too ?
He is from the new bird collection.

I do hope you enter the challenge.
All the details are on the Lavinia website and the winner, chosen at random wins £40 to spend at Lavinia…
Now that would be a wonderful Christmas present.

I must get on , grandma duties today…
and lots on my ‘to do ‘List

Have a lovely day
Much love and hugs
