I adore these stamps,

Good morning all,
Hope you are feeling well and positive today
I have walked Eric and been to the post office.
At the minute I am up to date with stamps, kits, workshop deliveries etc.
Plus today is cake day so the lovely staff have a fresh cream and strawberry Victoria sponge to have with their coffee..
Next job on my list is another magazine commission
So I thought I could have a catch up with you, and then a coffee before tackling it.

Today I have a recent Aall & Create sample to share,
This uses stamps by Tracy Evans and these are more of my new favourites, haha
I have so many,,,
I know,
Just like the rest of you,

I found the frame in my stash, so just added some paint ,

And then cleaned my brush on a piece of card ready to be used as the background.

I stamped and coloured the flower..
Have you noticed...
A new , ink pad
Speckled egg,
I made the whole sample just so that I could use my new ink pad..
I had great fun, stamping and colouring these images,
Perfect for any crafter

Then my favourite bit,
Putting it all together
Look at the detail.

So many possibilities with these.

Thanks for popping in,
Fancy a coffee, ?
Shall we have a biscuit too.?
Ok.
Come on then

Love and hugs

Lockdown Lavinia homework week 14

Good morning everyone.
I hope you are feeling well this Monday morning.
I have another Lockdown Lavinia homework for you.
As things are slowly returning back to dare I say normal
this will be the last lockdown homework .
I will still be setting the workshop ladies homework though.
They don’t get away that easily.

This week we are going to be looking at reflections.

Here is a closer look

I hope you will play along at home.
I have made a YouTube if you fancy having a look

Now for me there are 3 main ways of creating the reflection,
and I would always make the reflection first.
For me the easiest way is to stamp on acetate

And then transfer that onto the card

Using Billy Brayer is a great way to add the horizon line.
Remember to use a dye based ink on him though.

The second way is to ink up the stamp and roll Billy Brayer over it.

And then rolling the image onto your card

The third way is to stamp onto the gel press plate , this is good if you want to do
multiple images

You then transfer this to your card .
Add some scenery and a moon.

It is such a lovely way to add a new dimension to your card designs.

So have fun.

That’s all from me for today
Coffee time here,
I got so wet this morning walking Eric, then doing the food shopping.
So a lovely warm coffee is on the cards for me.

Take care all
Love and hugs

Love the Bees

Good afternoon all, I hope your Sunday is going well.
I have had a lovely morning first we walked Eric and then
we took the boys for a walk and they came back to have lunch with us.
Oh and I mean the little ones, Elliot and Jenson..
I do love this bubble that we can have now.
We have just taken them back home ,
So that is 13,050 steps and tired grandparents...

I just have time to make a coffee and then sit and watch the Aall & Create show on Hochanda,
featuring stamps from the lovely Tracy Evans.
Here is one of my samples

I do love this Bee set.

The background was one of my spare pieces from using the rock salt technique .
I added some background stamping to start and build up the layers.

Next I added some white Bokeh type circles using distress crayons and the stencil.

Some more stamping, and I couldn’t resist shrinking some bees.

You know how much I love shrink plastic,
I also added a metal letter (thanks Lisa , I love these )

Here is a closer look

Here is another design , using the same stamp set

And here is a closer look.
I used inks and a stencil on my gel press to make this background.

This one features an embellishment from another lovely friend Anne,
I have been so spoilt recently...
Thank you ladies

Thanks for popping in,
Off now to make that coffee.

Thanks to all the ladies who joined in yesterday with the online workshop.
It was so lovely to spend time with you all.

Take care everyone
Love and hugs

Friday catch up

Good afternoon all,
I hope you are keeping well.
Sorry I am late catching up, it has been another busy day.
Today I am sharing another Lavinia sample with you .

I think this is one of my favourites.
I just love using these colours.

I started off using some bubble wrap and Billy Brayer to create my background.

Then I blended some ink around the edge of the card.

Then I added the stamped images.

I used my oxide ink and water to add some colour.

Plus some mica powder, just to give that underwater sparkle.
Here is a closer look.

I really found it very therapeutic painting this design.

I have also made a little YouTube video today using one of the new stencils, with some ink and the fabulous jellyfish...

I hope you like it.
I must go now and walk Eric and then tidy my craft desk ,
Ready for tomorrow’s online workshop.
Enjoy your weekend,

Take care

Another beautiful day

Good morning all,
I hope you are keeping well.
I have just made a coffee and thought it would be a great time to catch up with you.
I have been busy creating lots of samples.
Lavinia stamps have released some fabulous new stamps and stencils ,
I know you are going to love them.
Here is one of my samples,

I do love this stamp, and yes I have used it on many of my samples.

As you know I love stencils and have used them for years,
So I was so thrilled when Tracey Dutton told me that she was bringing out her own range,
Here I have just blended some ink through the stencil,
and then added some water splats.

I stamped the fabulous jellyfish in black ink,
And then added some colour.

I just used my inks and water...nice and quick.

The last detail was stamping the new verse, just perfect to add the final touch.

I loved creating this one too,

And it is all flat, no decoupaging

Perfect summer colours for today.

Such wonderful new products.

I’m off now,
I desperately need to tidy a space in my craft room.
Another magazine commission to create,

Enjoy your day
Stay safe
Love and hugs

Lockdown Lavinia homework - week 13

Good morning all,
Hope Monday finds you well.
It is week 13 of the
Lockdown Lavinia Homework

This week we are going to revisit an old technique,
The use of Rock Salt to create a background.

These backgrounds work perfectly with the new release Lavinia stamps,

 Here is a closer look

For those who are new or have forgotten about this technique.
Here is a little tutorial of how I created this one,

You can use watercolour paints, or similar mediums for this ,
I decided to use my Brusho powder just to shake up the technique a bit.

So I added the Brusho powder to the card
Make sure the card will take water well, as the next stage is to add the water.

Next add the rock salt, and leave to dry.
I left mine overnight

The salt absorbs some of the water,

I just love how it looks.
It is quite therapeutic brushing the salt off too.

Next add some stamping...
This is my new favourite Lavinia stamp

I had to add some finishing touches with glossy accents and my white Posca pen.

I hope you have a play with this technique,
It is great fun.

I must go, lots more samples to create today .
I hope it is a good day
and a good week for is all.

Much love and hugs

Typewriter

Good afternoon all,
Hope you are having a lovely day.
Happy Fathers Day to all those dads , grandads,
and hugs to those who are missing them.

Today I am sharing another sample with you,
I loved creating this.
Unfortunately my samples seem to have got lost on their way to the studio...
Such a shame with all the work that has gone in to creating them, hey ho
These things happen.

Another great design suitable for a masculine card.

And a bit of a 3d element too.

Great way to add some extra detail.

Just a quick post from me today,
Take care all.

Love and hugs

A wet day in Cheshire

Good afternoon all,
Hope you are feeling well.
Wow , it is so wet today, it has rained here all day.
We got wet walking Eric this morning, then a wet walk to the post office,
and it looks like it will be another wet walk with Eric in half an hour.
I just hope I don’t shrink !!!!
Today I am sharing a sample with you,
This one I have posted off to Hochanda.
Ready for the ODS on Saturday.

I just love creating these designs,
I had no idea where this was going.
I just started off with creating a background.

Then I added some depth, and detail ,

Next I stamped my focal point, plus some flowers, I added colour using the same oxide
inks as I used in the background. This gives continuity to the whole piece.

My favourite bit was next, just playing around and deciding
What I wanted , where.
I also added glossy accents to the egg timer.

White Posca pen added the finishing touches.

I just love this colour palate, you don’t have to use bright colours to get noticed.
Just be classy.
I think this would be great for some many uses,

Anyway, time now to go and get wet again.
Webbed feet time

Take care all
Much love and hugs
