Monday catch up

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope you are feeling well,
How was your weekend ?
Ours started on Friday evening with a phone call from Adam.
Elliot had fallen and cut his head and needed to go to A&E.
So grandma and grandad  were on duty to look after Jenson...
You know what it is like , just one thing after another .
Both are much better today, thank goodness.

Thanks to all you lovely crafters who are joining in with the online workshops.
It is so lovely to see your gorgeous cards too.

Today I have a tag to share with you

And I have made a little video , if you fancy creating one.

That’s all from me for today,
Both of us have been working all day,
So time now for a coffee in the garden.
It is a bit chilly,
but at least it is dry

Take care all
Much love and hugs

What a week

Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you are feeling well.
To those of you who have been unwell this week and I know there have been a few of you, I do hope that you are feeling a bit better
Hugs
Jenson was taken ill as you know last Thursday, he had a high temperature and the doctor found that his heart rate was too fast too,
Well he then got a rash on his face and neck , and became worse.
Bless him, scarlet fever.
So I have been helping Adam and Danielle out, as this Covid thing has just made things so much worse.
I went to get a prescription for Jenson,
Well that was 35 minutes in the rain outside the doctors, then the same again at the chemist
Only to find out that they didn’t have the specific medication,
It has been a really hectic week,
Poor Abs phoned me to see if I could do a ODS next week on Hochanda,
I had to say no, such short notice and I just need family time...grandma duties have to come first.

Speaking of Abs , did you see his shows today, ?
Here is one of my samples

I started with some ink blending

Then added a stencil,

Some stamping

And then some washi tape...
Love this stuff

I stamped my image and added some colour,
Adding a little shine too.

And obviously she needed some feathers.

I also did some double washi ....lol.
Washi tape, on washi tape..
I think I invented a new thing
Double washi,,,

So funny

Must dash, still got lots to do.
If I haven’t replied to your email yet , sorry,
I will catch up this weekend.

Have a lovely weekend
Much love and hugs

Pipin

Hi all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
Our workshop on Saturday was really good and I can’t believe how quickly the time went.
Soon after it finished Elliot came round for his own crafty  playtime

Poor Jenson is still unwell and now has a fast heart rate...bless him.
Look, these are what Elliot made

He loves using sponges, and brushes with inks.

I must thank all the lovely crafters who have contacted me about the new online classes,
I have been blown away by the number, and one lady enjoyed the first one so much she has subscribed for the next 5.
I had better get my skates on and make some more videos.

Here is some more inspiration for you,
A little note book,
With our lovely Pipin on it.

This started as a clean up the stencil piece of card

I added some stamping , and a little bit of doodling, ( the cobweb and spider )

And then added the card to the note book,
I also adding some stamping inside the book

This would make such a lovely gift.

Time now for a brew and catch up with Karl.
I have been making samples all day.

Thanks for popping

Much love and hugs

Exciting news.

Good afternoon ,
Hope you are feeling well today.
I must admit , I am a little tired.
I had to pick the boys up from nursery yesterday as Jenson had a very high  temperature
Danielle was at work and Adam was at a funeral.
Elliot had a sleep over last night, bless him and we were up baking cookies at 7-30am.
So I think I may need a granny nap later.

Thank you to everyone who have watched the little YouTube videos,
I am absolutely amazed by the response.
Plus the number of crafters who have asked for workshops.
So yesterday I launched my first YouTube on line workshop,
It is such an exciting chapter in my craft journey, and I am so pleased
that you are here to share it with me.

So this is how it works,
I record the class, usually about an hour,
They are open to anyone, anywhere in the world.
You email me, to ask for me details,
I then give you the link to the private workshop, which you can then watch as many times as you want.
You can craft along with me, pause me ( now Karl wishes he could mute me , sometimes lol )
It is all so exciting,
I have my first 4 crafters signed up, and one of the ladies lives in Florida...fancy that,

This is a sneak peek of the first class

With a little something extra

So now, distance isn’t an issue...
It is so lovely to have something positive coming out of these difficult times.
If you fancy joining in just drop me a line
jrcrafts28@gmail.com

Workshop 2 is ready to go now...

Enjoy your Friday,
It is workshop day tomorrow for my online group.
So I had better get organised

Take care everyone
Much love and hugs

Inspiration in yellow.

Good morning all,
Hope you are keeping well.
I am just back after walking Eric and it is nice and dry, at the moment.
I have just checked and we have rain due later.
So I thought I would have a catch up with you, and then my daily walk to the Post Office before coffee.

Today I have a Lavinia sample to share with you,
as Mandy has 2 shows this Friday on HOCHANDA.

Recently I have made quite a few projects using yellow and green, and many of us have found that
we actually love yellow, even though we thought , we didn’t.
So you can imagine how pleased I was when I got the schedule from Tracey...
And the colours of ink on the show were
Yellow and Green.

I just loved creating this sample,
As you know I have loved using stencils for many years,
And I still have Jo’s Bubble...
(I am still chuffed that Barb and Dave made my design )

I created the main background by inking they stencil, and stamping with it.

When it was dry I stamped Finn.

I then worked on my background by stamping the Sentiment using both colours of ink at the same time.
I just love this effect.

Finn, needed something to be looking at,
so I added some foliage, and some extra colour.
Blue , so that they would pop.

Some matting and layering , some grounding and some white splatters.
Just perfect...
Well , in my eyes,
Hope you like it too...

Enjoy the rest of your day,
And Susan enjoy your holiday, I got my lovely postcard yesterday
Thanks so much

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Create one, get two more for free.

Good afternoon all,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
On Saturday we took Eric to the beach,
He still isn’t allowed to walk far,  or run off the lead...
But he loves the beach and the sea.

So he got a short walk and about 10minutes stood in the sea.
He loved every minute of it .

We took a flask of coffee and some butties too,

Today I have been playing and made a little you tube video.
I created this CAS card design

I do love blending through a stencil

And I got this background for free,

And this one too,

You can find the video here

We have had rain all morning, but the sun is out now and it looks lovely outside..
So time for tea and cake in the garden
My lilies are beautiful,

And I just love the way the Passion flower keep flowering...

Enjoy your afternoon

Love and hugs

Sun kissed Pipin....

Good morning all,
Happy Friday,
It is Friday, isn’t it ?
Just checking, as I really don’t know what day it is at the moment.

I hope you are keeping well, and that you have a lovely weekend planned.
Today I have some stencil inspiration to share with you.

I thought I would mix the panel technique , some blending and a stencil.
I hope you like it.

Look at Pipin,
He looks all sunkissed

I have made a little YouTube ,
So if you fancy joining me and creating  this ,
You can find it here

I would love to see how you get on.

I am off now, my daily walk to the Post Office.
It is so much cooler today, thank goodness.

Eric has an appointment at the vets tomorrow,
First one since Lockdown
So we will see how his home ‘physio ‘ is going

Enjoy your afternoon.

Take care
Much love and hugs ,

Thursday catch up

Good afternoon ,
and thanks for popping in today ,
I do hope you are keeping well and enjoying this lovely weather.
It is such a shame that it is so hot though.
We have had some terrible thunder storms the last two nights, oh dear , not
much sleep here.

Today I have a little step by step for you
This uses a lovely little stamp set by Tracy Evans...

And here is how I created it

I just added some ink with Billy Brayer, followed by some circles of ink using a stencil

I stamped the cutlery, twice, once on the design and once on extra card.

These I painted with a mixture of ink and Mica Minerals

I decoupaged the cutlery, added a sentiment and a couple of little hearts.

Just such a fun card to make, would make a great invitation for dinner guests,
You know,
For when we can have friends round for dinner again.

Such strange times.

So on that note,
Take care

Much love and hugs

Using the extra print

Good morning all,
Thanks for popping in today,
I do hope that your Monday has started well.

It was a busy weekend with our online workshop on Saturday.
It was great fun, and the ladies have made the most fabulous projects,
I am so proud of them all.
I have seen that some crafters are starting up physical workshops again,
I am afraid that I won’t be doing that this year.
I have looked at the government guidelines, and read the literature from my insurance company,,
and I really don’t know how they can run some.
The physical distancing, the sanitising of the room before the class,
Drink stations, no sharing of equipment,
Sanitising the toilets after each use,
No cash,
And that is all before the face coverings and track and trace...
The health and well-being of you fabulous friends and crafters is my main concern.
So I’m afraid we will just have to ride it out until next year.
I hope you understand

Today I am sharing a design with you that uses up the clean up from my stencil from
Fridays card.

I have made a little you tube video for you

It is nice to be able to show you how to use these clean up pieces,
As often we just say we will use them later ,
But never show you how.

I also have a little fun piece too,
This one is called
Time to feed the fish

That’s it for me,
Take care everyone,
It is time to go and make more samples , before coffee in the garden

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Play time

Good morning all,
Hope Friday finds you well.
It is cloudy here, but oh , it is so warm...
I have been and watered my tubs and hanging baskets already,

Yesterday I had a bit of a play with one of the new Lavinia stencils,
some inks and my gel press.

It was great fun.

I created a little YouTube video,
So if you fancy seeing how I made this..
You can find it here

Enjoy

I have a busy day today,
I must make some space on my desk ready for tomorrow’s online
Workshop..
I may just brush everything onto the floor...!!!
Oh , yes, it is that bad..

Have a lovely weekend all,

Take care
Love and hugs

Some stampboard Love

Good afternoon all,
Hope your Thursday is going well.
We had a power cut last night, half way through drying my hair...oh such fun..
So I have spent all day catching up with emails etc...
It is amazing how much I can miss in just one night,

Today I am sharing another Aall & Create sample with you .
For this one I have used some stampboard...
I do love using this.

I began by creating my shape out of the stampboard shapes and
adding some inky background

Next the background stamping

Followed by the main image

I added some extra colour with my Posca pens.

I added a sentiment, some white splats and finally I sealed it with a spray varnish...

I just love creating something just a bit different.

I hope you like it.
I’m off now to go and meet Karl from the train station.
He has been in London today...

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Time for tea

Good afternoon all,
Hope your Wednesday is going well, and yes I had to think what day it was, before writing it.
That is just the way of the world at the moment.
Today I have another sample to share with you...
Now, you know I adore doing pyrography,

So I just couldn’t resist adding this fabulous image to a bread board.
Perfect for the kitchen..

Anyone for tea ????

And cake, obviously...

Must dash, we have Mikey visiting for a couple of hours.
The sun is actually shinning now, so time to walk Eric...

Enjoy your afternoon all,
Take care

Love and hugs

Best Wishes

Hi everyone, thanks for popping in.
A big thank you to Sylvia for emailing me some photos ,
Fabulous cards , I am so proud of you,,,,hugs xx

I have just walked to the Post Office to deliver the Tuesday cake treat for the lovely staff.
I also posted some samples off to HOCHANDA.
My lovely boss man Abs asked us on Saturday if we could make samples and get them to the tv for shows tomorrow and
Thursday...
Good job as DT members that we can work under pressure.
Mind you I was on Grandma duties on Friday and Saturday .

So today I thought I would share one of my samples with you.
The ODS features stamps by lovely Tracy Evans.

I have gone for a fresh, theme with this one.
Lots of detail and layers, but still keeping white space and giving the eye somewhere to rest.

I started off by masking off the border, and then adding some yellow oxide ink.

Next , I added some stencilling,
Keeping it all quite light though,
Remember this is just part of the background.

Next , I introduced some orange ink.
I do love creating pieces like this.

Now for the main image

Just a few finishing off tricks, and then I decoupaged the petals.

A lovely design to send to a friend.

I had to just add the pen, and some glossy accents...
We all have our tell tale signs in crafting don’t we !!!!

It is a very grey day here today, quite miserable really.
A day for hot soup  ,
Yes, hot soup for lunch today .

Thanks for popping in all
Take care

Love and hugs
