Fairy Toadstool

Good morning everyone,
Another sunny morning here.
I hope the sun warms your heart and makes you smile.
Today I have a sample to share with you that I have created for the Lavinia shows that are coming up
this Friday, on the Craft Store ( the old Hochanda )
As Mandy and myself are unable to do the shows Leonie has stepped in.

I must admit that I love the new Fairy Toadstool stamp, I can see that I will be using this a lot.
Also the new Orchard grass which is a smaller version of the Field grass, and you know how much I use that stamp.

I started by using a stencil on my gel press.

I added more ink

Look at the fabulous print

And this was my cleaning the stencil print.
I will definitely be using this one too.

I then added some stamping using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I stamped my focal point.

Then added more stamping to build up my scene.
I blended more ink around the edges and added some water flicks.
I just love this type of frame

Next I added colour, this really brings the toadstool to life.

I use a Clean Colour pen to add some shade and chalk pastel pencils for the highlights.

And Posca pens to add more detail.

Finally some matting and layering

I can see these two new stamps literally flying off the shelves.

I hope you have a lovely day ,
Whatever you are doing.

Take care
Much love and hugs
Jo xxx

You’ve been so busy this month! I’ve had difficulty catching up after a technology free weekend! It’s a pity that we won’t see you on the The Craft Store but interesting to see what Leonie creates - and I’ll be playing “spot Jo’s demo” too. I’m loving this gel press and stencil technique, it’s a beautiful backdrop for these delicate stamps. The step by step break down is really useful as it’s easy to refer back to. And more new stamps, I may need to start charging my mother for providing handmade cards for her to send to her WI buddies 😂
