In My Heart.

Morning all.
I hope you had a lovely weekend and that your new week has started well.

Today I have a very special piece of art to share with you.
You see today would have been my Dads 81st Birthday.
As you know he sadly passed away at the end of May.
I know today will be a hard day for all my family but especially my Mum.
So please join with me and send her an extra big Hug.

It is the first time I haven’t made his Birthday card.
So Dad , this is for you..

It is my alcohol inks background,
My Dads favourite colour was orange ( I know where I get my love of that colour from )
He loved to watch the sunrise, especially from his allotment or flight pond.

The feather is special too,
As children we spent many hours watching baby pheasants hatch in incubators, and then see them free into the wild when they were old enough.

This particular feather was part of the family floral tribute , that rested on his coffin,
For his final sunset.

So as you can see a very special piece of art indeed.

I will go and sit in my garden later,
Have my coffee,
and think of all those happy times.

Take care everyone.

Much love and hugs

Make and Takes.

Hi everyone,
I hope your day is going well.
Mine started with walking Eric and then coffee in M&S with Elliot.
He is such good company and really makes me smile.
We did some shopping whilst we were there too.

It has been a lovely sunny afternoon here, but I think we are going to have some rain tomorrow.
Mind you my garden really needs it.

Are any of you lovely crafters going to Harrogate next weekend. ?

I hope so, it would be so good to see you.
I will be there with James, Lisa and Kate, on the
Stampers Grove stand.

If you fancy joining me for a Make & Take you can book via the stampers grove website.

Have a lovely weekend all
Take care

Much love and hugs

Enchanted Forest

Good morning ,
Welcome to September, and welcome
to our 2 new followers.
I am so thrilled to have you here , pull up a chair and makes yourselves at home.

As it is the first of September it means that we have a new Lavinia Challenge.
Our new theme is
Enchanted Forest.
Here is my inspiration for you.

I started with some stamping

I used the Lavinia Masking sheets, these are fabulous to use.

Next I added som ink blending.
It is wonderful how you can create atmosphere this way.

This was followed by more stamping to build up the scene.

Next I removed the masking sheets and added some colour.

As you know I love the finishing touches, so out with the posca pens, PanPastel and gel pens
Wow, what a difference these make.

I do hope you will join in with the challenge, we have so many stamps that will fit perfectly with this theme.
Also, remember the winner gets £40 to spend on Lavinia stamps and is chosen at random..

Good luck everyone .

Enjoy your day.
More YouTube recordings for me.

Love and hugs

We took Eric for a long walk in the park this morning.
He is now fast asleep, snoring away.

As it is Monday, I have another Journalling project to share with you.

This week we are looking at ways of introducing some fun writing into out pages.

Here is my smaller journal

I do hope you enjoy it

I have also been working on a special project,
Something very close to my heart.

This is still work in progress.

As it is bank holiday weekend here in some parts of the UK.
I am having the weekend off.
Fingers crossed Karl is also going to be taking a few days off.
So some gardening, a little bit of ironing, but mostly just drinking coffee, eating cake and relaxing.

I hope you have lovely plans for your weekend too.
