Fabulous Friday

Good morning everyone.
Here we are, we made it to Friday.
A Bank Holiday weekend too.
I do hope you have something nice planned.
Gardening and relaxing here...
I have given myself a day off tomorrow, no workshops.
Although I have got some extra homework for the workshop group.

Today I have another little YouTube video to share with you.

This is another design which would make a great Mans card.

So if you fancy joining me,
Grab your brew and cheeky snack .
Here is the link

I hope you are all impressed,
I have blogged 5 days in a row...
I don’t think that has happened before.
( Maybe it is the new me, after my second jab !!! )

Enjoy the rest of your Friday
Take care
Much love and hugs

Thankful Thursday

Good morning all.
Hope you are well today, on this sunny Thursday morning.
I hope you have a lovely day planned.
Lots of craft jobs to get ticked off my list today, with a few coffee breaks .
Eric is sat here with me,  well actually he is lying at my feet as is fast asleep.

Recently on my YouTube channel I was asked about cards with a more masculine feel to them.
So I have made a little YouTube video with a couple of designs that would be great for Men, but could also be adapted and given a more feminine  feel.

So if you have chance to grab a brew and a cheeky biscuit ( only 1 mind )
The video is here

I always look forward to spending time with you.
If you craft along with me , I would love to see what you make.
Maybe you could send me a photo
Jrcrafts28@gmail.com
If it is ok with you I could share some photos on here.

Better get on,
Please take care
Much love and hugs

Wonderful Wednesday

Good morning all,
hope you are feeling well.
Here I am, third day in a row, wow my Mum
will be so impressed.
Hi Mum.

Today I have another  sample using products from the latest release from Aall & Create.

I had such fun creating this sample
Unfortunately the shine on the tile doesn’t really show up,
but, trust me , it is there.
Here is a closer look.

I started by creating the background, just simple ink through the stencil.

Then out with the Stampbord I do love this product.
First I added some ink, followed by water splats.

Next the stamping

To add highlights I used a tool and scraped some of the clay coating away from the surface.
Then the triple embossing,
3 layers of clear embossing powder...
It really did make the stampboard look like an actual tile.

I added the topper to the background, plus some washi tape , some numbers, and
a couple of little butterflies.

A few posca splats finished the design.
Black this time, I like to play around with other colours, not just using the white.

I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial.
Another busy day here,
2nd Covid jab, and lots of paperwork.
Maybe the odd brew and cheeky biscuit too.

Take care all.
Enjoy your day
Much love and hugs

Toadstool Tuesday

Good morning all,
We have a cloudy, chilly Tuesday here in Cheshire.
How about you ?
What is your weather like today ?

I hope you have a brew in hand,
maybe a cheeky biscuit,  or is it too early ?
Never too early here.

Today I am sharing another recent Lavinia sample with you.

Here is a closer look

This all started with a clean up piece of card,
You know the ones where I have ink on the stencil,  spritz it with water and place it on some card.
I love these extra pieces.

Next I added some stamping, building up the scene.
Followed by adding more ink around the edges to frame the design.
I added some more water splats to the frame , just to add some more interest.

I used second generation ink to stamp the verse in the background.
When it comes to colour, I used my Inktense pencils and water for the first layer.

Then added shade, and highlights using Posca pens,
Have you tried the glitter ones?
They are fabulous.

I just love the way the whole design comes together , and not forgetting some glitter .

Thanks so much for joining me today.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Much love and hugs

Canvas Monday

Good afternoon everyone.
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
We had some beautiful weather, didn’t we ?
I just hope it is the same next weekend for the Bank Holiday weekend.

Today I have a canvas to share with you.
I just love creating depth and texture on a canvas.

Here is a closer look

I began by painting the canvas and then adding the texture paste through the stencil.

Next I added some silver embossing powder and left it to dry overnight.
I love this technique.

Then the following day,
I used my heat too, and the stars started glowing silver.

Next I added some gilding wax.

I made some embellishments, stamped butterflies, and those little numbers appeared again.

To give extra depth I added glossy accents on top of a little wooden stick covered in washi tape.

I just love all the little details on this piece.

I do hope you like it too.

Thanks for popping in today.
Make the most of this beautiful weather as I think we may have some rain later this week.
Although my garden will be happy with some rain.

Take care all
Much love and hugs

That Friday Feeling

Good morning all,
We made it,
Here we are, a beautiful sunny Friday.
I hope it finds you well and looking forward to the weekend.
We have our online Lavinia workshop tomorrow.
Pipin is involved again,
He is such character, he just won’t stay in the box with the other stamps !!!

I am really looking forwards to spending another morning crafting with friends.

Did you manage to watch Leonie on The Craft Store this morning ?
She is back on at 1pm.
Here is one of my samples.

Here is how I created it .
I began with my gel press and a couple of ink pads

Next I introduced  the Coral stencil and use copier paper to remove some of the ink.

Then I turned my gel press over and made a print .
I love looking through the gel press to see the process taking place.

This was my print , with some stamping added

I spritzed the stencil to get my ‘free clean up background ‘

I also spritzed my clean up Billy Brayer piece of card too.
I will be using both these next week

Back to my original design,
I added some colour, nice simple watercolour painting with Elements ink and water.

I added more detail using my chalk pastel pencils

I love the depth that they add to the design.
Next out with the Posca pens...( it’s the law lol 😂)

Here is a closer look

I just love all the detail in this piece.

Thanks for joining me today .

I hope you have a lovely weekend,
whatever you are doing.

Much love and hugs

Astrid

Good afternoon all,
me again.
I have another Lavinia sample to share with you.

These are more of the stamps that will be featured on The Craft Store tomorrow
at 9am and 1pm.

I have a little tutorial to show you how I created this sample.

I always begin with stamping and clear embossing powder when I am going to add Brusho powders.

I was careful to avoid her face.

Next I stamped the background , and then added some more brusho powder and water.

I kept my colours to the same corners of the design.

I love the way that it all coordinates.

Right, must go,
Time to feed and walk Eric.
More steps in the bag.

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Catch up You Tube

Good morning all,
Hope you are keeping well.
It is a beautiful morning here, although there was a ground frost overnight.
I am hoping that I may just get my coffee in the garden later.

I have a little catch up video to share with you today.
Another card using the fabulous new Lavinia Fairy Toadstool stamp that is going to be released tomorrow.

Here is a closer look

I used glossy accents too,  not easy to capture on camera.

If you fancy grabbing your brew and joining me,
The video is here

Enjoy your day,
Whatever you have planned

Much love and hugs

Fairy Toadstool

Good morning everyone,
Another sunny morning here.
I hope the sun warms your heart and makes you smile.
Today I have a sample to share with you that I have created for the Lavinia shows that are coming up
this Friday, on the Craft Store ( the old Hochanda )
As Mandy and myself are unable to do the shows Leonie has stepped in.

I must admit that I love the new Fairy Toadstool stamp, I can see that I will be using this a lot.
Also the new Orchard grass which is a smaller version of the Field grass, and you know how much I use that stamp.

I started by using a stencil on my gel press.

I added more ink

Look at the fabulous print

And this was my cleaning the stencil print.
I will definitely be using this one too.

I then added some stamping using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.
I stamped my focal point.

Then added more stamping to build up my scene.
I blended more ink around the edges and added some water flicks.
I just love this type of frame

Next I added colour, this really brings the toadstool to life.

I use a Clean Colour pen to add some shade and chalk pastel pencils for the highlights.

And Posca pens to add more detail.

Finally some matting and layering

I can see these two new stamps literally flying off the shelves.

I hope you have a lovely day ,
Whatever you are doing.

Take care
Much love and hugs
