Shaped cards

Good morning all,
First of all welcome to a new Challenge over at the
Fussy and Fancy Challenge blog
And secondly Ola from Spain....
We are currently have a few days away playing in the sun with the little man...

Our new theme today is

Different shape or folded cards

And our hostess is my lovely friend
Annie...

Now I don’t   normally make many shaped cards so this was a bit of a challenge for me
But so much fun...
I had no idea where I was going
I just started playing....
And this is what I ended up with...

I hope you like it
If you would like to see what the other dt have created
Just pop over here

To create mine I started with a new die that I had recently bought...
And just cut out a few shapes...

I think I will be using this again and again..

I then got two 6x6 card blanks

And cut some corners off

Until I liked the shape, and glued them together .

Then I cut some matts and layers

And started to add some colour,
So out came my distress Oxide inks

I added some ink to my mat, spritzed with water and then dipped the card in,

I added one colour at a time and dried with a heat tool , before adding the next colour

And then some splats off ink , and more drying with the heat tool

Look what a difference it makes to add some ink around the edges of the card .

On separate card I stamped the sentiment and some butterflies, added some colour and then cut them out.

To add some interest in the card blank itself , I just randomly added some splat stamping
I did this on both sides

Then attached the toppers...
I was really pleased with how this base was looking

Then I added some of the die cut shapes....

Followed by the butterflies,

And some liquid pearls....

This is the view of the back ,

The front ,

And finally when dry , I added some bakers twine ,

A totally unique and made up card shape...
And all done by eye....
( so don’t look to close ..!!!!)

I hope you have a lovely weekend planned ...
I had better go...
More walks on the beach planned....

and more splashing in the pool

And more cocktails...
Don’t worry Elliot only had a banana milk shake

Take care all..
Much love and hugs

I'm lazy therefore don't write too many comments. However I loved this so much I just had to tell you - I love the way you write the instructions as well easy for even an idiot like me to follow. Glad you managed a few days off I'm sure after the move you needed it. I hve recently been comtempalting moving but decided it's too much of a hassle. I just don't think I could keep my house clean enough to show perple around and as for my attic that would need a removal van all of its own. Love your work so glad you havent gone all groovy.

Hi Frances, thank you so much for leaving your comment. I do love to read them.
The house move was so stressful, and yes So much clutter and rubbish was either given away, recycled or went to the tip... the holiday was just what we needed....now back to tackle my long list of jobs in the craft room...all the best....xxx
