Sam's Shapes at Christmas

Hi all,

Hope you are feeling ok and that life is treating you well.

All ok here, both Karl and Eric are limping less, so dog walks don't look quite as funny now.

Today I thought I would share one of my recent samples with you, it was shown on Barbars Hochanda show last Sunday.

I do hope you managed to catch them they were great shows by Barbara and Paul...

It uses the fab new Sam's shape stamps, the Christmas ribbon set , the Christmas word chains, and the Wee Christmas folk....

I really wanted to make a design using all the shape stamps , so I decided to make miniature Christmas cards...

I cut each one to size, scored it and then stamped it.

I used the brilliant new Artistry ink pads....wow....so many great colours to choose from....

I mixed two colours on each stamp..., first I stamped the outline in Black Archival ink and then filled the colour in....,

When I had stamped all eight shapes , I then had to work out which of the Wee folk went best with each shape, I then stamped these in Black Archival ink.

I then added some extra detail, some with a fine liner pen, some of the cards I added Stickles glitter glue and a couple of them have shrink plastic words added.

I must admit I did enjoy playing and making these little beauties.

I needed a backing sheet so I created one using the Christms words and some Distress ink.

Next came the ribbon sentiment and a gel pen...

Plus some Bakers twine....

I wanted to make little garlands to hang my cards from...you know ...like we have at Christmas.

Some little wooden pegs and a couple of gems and my design was finished...

I must admit I was a little worried about how it would survive the post....

I hope you like this, I certainly enjoyed making it....I wonder if this counts as making 9 Christmas cards!!!!!

Obviously I haven't started making mine yet, but I have been prepping my Christmas workshops so I have lots in the pipeline,,,,including some lovely 3D baubles....

I am really looking forward to sharing them with you all,

Better go....I am on a secret mission day...

Take care all, and do pop back soon

Love and hugs

Jo. xxx
