Busy times.

Good afternoon all and thanks for popping in.
Sorry for not catching up with you for a while but wow have I been busy .
On Saturday it was my last workshop for this year and it was a Groovi day....in more ways than one,
Another lovely day crafting with friends, catching up and eating mince pies .

Fab work ladies,,,as always.
We have Adam, Danielle and Elliot living with us again , as last Thursday they had water pouring through the ceiling again...
Not good , especially as the plumbers can’t seem to find out where it is coming from. They have even cut a rather large hole in the ceiling,
Which makes the living room very cold. This is definitely not the time of year to have a hole in the ceiling.
So grandma is having lots of extra cuddles and grandad went out and got a present to cheer Elliot up.....yes....like he needed an excuse !!!!!

Elliot’s first car..... lol..
Today I have been making Christmas cards, not for me though...for a late commission that came in over the weekend...and a rather large order it was too..
But it is finished now...phew...
I must make a proper start on mine soon.
Hope your week is going well...

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Another Tag.

Good evening all and thanks for popping in.
How has your week been so far? Good I hope.
I have been trying to get my long list of orders completed.
I do love this time of year when people order so many personalised gifts,
I have been busy with pyrography, cards and some canvas work...
I feel like one of Santa’s little helpers...
Going with the festive theme I have made a tag today to share with you.

I have used the Sizzix tag die ,
Cut out a piece of the decorative paper from the Shenandoah pad

So many great areas to choose

I also cut the tag out of white card to use as a backing

I glued them together...then edged the tag with black distress ink. Adding some background with the Script stencil .

Next I added some stamping using black Archival ink .

Some foliage around the edge..just to frame the design.

Then some black ink and torn paper to ground the carol singers, and the moon mask and black ink to add
the moon.

Next some colour using gel pens and then some snow...
Using chunky white embossing enamel.
Finally a little more black ink , just around the edge of the tag .

And the finishing touch of a ribbon and some small pine cones .
I just added some white Posca marker to the cones ...just to look like snow...
I do believe we might be in for some snow at the end of the week,,,
It is certainly going to go even colder...so thermals at the ready..
Before I go...
I just wanted to share a photo of the little man with you.
At the weekend it was the neonatal Christmas party at Stepping Hill hospital, and Elliot bless him slept through his first
meeting with Santa...
Look

But don’t worry he still got a present ...
Thanks Santa..

Take care all...
Love and hugs

December has arrived .

Good evening  everyone , I hope you are keeping warm , it has been so cold these last couple of days .
Poor Eric had a little operation yesterday (a man’s thing ) and he is really feeling sorry for himself.
I had to come down at 2am and sit with him as he was crying so much.
Thank goodness he is a little better today .

He is sporting a rather lovely hat...all it needs is some tinsel...
I have put our decorations up today , the tree looks fab, all the lights still work, and I have a special centre piece for out table...
Made by one of the lovely Hazel Grove Crafters.

Thanks Marjorie , I will treasure it always...

I am in print again,
This time it is in the new box kit from Hunkydory

This is such a fantastic kit and has wonderful, papers, topper sheets , Stamps, Dies and an embossing folder ....so much to use

I had great fun making backgrounds , and using some of its contents.

It would make a great Christmas present for a crafter .
If only I knew one!!! lol.
Better get on, I have my last wreath making workshop tomorrow..
Really looking forwards to seeing what the ladies make..
Also I am catching up with my lovely friend Susan, who I haven’t seen for ages...
I have mince pies at the ready...
One last photo before I go...(thanks Danielle for sending it to me )

Adam Home after work, and the first thing he did was to lie next to Elliot...
I just adore the way they are looking at each other...
Elliot is here for a sleep over tomorrow...
Happy Grandma time again.....

Much love and hugs everyone.

Decorative book corner

Good afternoon everyone and thanks for popping in today .
As promised I am going to show you how we made the decorative book corners on Saturday.

The corner stamps are perfect for these.
I have to say that I got the idea from the lovely Lynne Hammond, I remember she did something similar a few years ago.
Thanks Lynne for the inspiration.

I decided to use an old envelope as the base...
I don’t know about you, but I seem to have so many envelopes lying around.

Obviously the measurements depend on how large you want the corner.
I decided on a five inch, by five inch..

Then I made a diagonal cut .

This forms the base of my corner pocket .
I cut two triangles of card and then stamped on them .

Next I added some colour ,

Followed by some inking and stencil work.

And then some faux stitching

This is the front and back of the pocket .

Q

Finally I sprayed them both with Spray N Sparkle...
Just to protect the ink when handling it.

And to make it pretty .....
I do like a bit of sparkle...
Speaking of which last night I had a wonderful time with Fran ...
She made a Christmas Wreath....
We had such a lovely time together .

This is it in the day....and in the evening
You just switch the lights on.
Look

I love it Fran and can’t wait to see it hanging up in your flat .
I have a special Christmas workshop on Saturday with more friends making more wreaths...
I am really looking forwards to it
Especially the mince pies and Prosecco ..
Tomorrow is Hazel Grove workshops...more mince pies and crafting with friends...
Oh I am so lucky...
Take care all.

Group hug...

Christmas in Cumbria

Good afternoon all and what a wet and miserable day it has been here in Cheshire. I do hope that it has been brighter where you are.
The weather made the journey up to Cumbria quite difficult on Saturday , I must admit I was very glad to arrive in one piece, as there were so many accidents on the motorway and one just in front of us.
It was our Christmas workshop,
It is always a fabulous day with the Cumbria crew, but the Christmas party is even more special.

We started off with a nice.  Quick and easy card

Look at the fabulous colours,
After coffee we made a book mark...
Now the photo doesn’t really show this off so tomorrow I will blog a tutorial and all will become clear

We had a very yummy lunch...with homemade soup, sandwiches, quiche, fruit, lots of cake...and so much more
Thanks to everyone who joined in...and shared their recipes

Oh we do have some fun...great costumes...
After lunch we did some smooshing....
Just look at theses beauties...

And then a quick Christmas card to finish off

White embossing powder and Kraft card, so on trend.

I have Mikey and Fran Home for a couple of days so we are having family time,,,,
So I had better get on and finish the meal...
Pork tonight...
Enjoy your evening and pop back tomorrow...
Much love and hugs

Blue and Brown Winter

Good morning everyone, and thanks for joining me this Friday morning.
Today we have a new Challenge over at the
Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog.
Our new theme is
Blue and Brown (beige ) Winter
And it is hosted by the lovely , talented , Tone.
Here is what I came up with

And here is how I made them .
I decided to make a Christmas card , with a matching tag...

I started my card with a piece of Kraft card....sorry but it doesn’t show up well when photographed

Then I created the landscape with a moon mask, some torn paper and blue ink

Next some stamping using a brown Archival ink pad

I do love the way the card is coming together

Next I added some snow , in the form of chunky white embossing enamel .

Some matting and layering...

And then I added a fabulous little MDF embellishment from Anna Marie designs, along with some ribbon.

And a little bit of stamping on the envelope.

I then repeated the process to make a matching tag

This time I added a few extra embellishments ...

I really enjoyed making these..
Thank you Tone for such a great theme....just up my street.

I would love you to go over to the Fussy and Fancy blog and check out the wonderful designs from the rest of the design team
Speaking of Christmas it is our Christmas party in Cumbria tomorrow..
My festive jumper is hung up ready
And the chocolates and Christmas crackers are ready to be put in the car.
I am really looking forwards to another great day, crafting with friends
 Thanks for visiting all
Take care
Much love and hugs
