Sniffles on a Tuesday

Morning everyone,
I hope today finds you well.
I seem to be full of a head cold, with a thumping headache, so it will be
a slow day in my craft room.
Karl has promised to make me a coffee though , so it’s not all bad.

I hope you had a lovely weekend.
We had a fabulous workshop on Saturday.
We created 4 Christmas cards, one of which is a pop up type perfect for a gift voucher.

It was such a lovely, creative morning with friends.
The beauty of these online classes is that they can be viewed as catch up videos.
A couple of our crafty friends joined in during the afternoon and one lady on Sunday.

Speaking off Sunday, We took the boys out for the morning as Adam was working
It was a wet start to the day but the sun soon appeared.
We even found some deer. (No dinosaurs thought ! )

Today I have a new YouTube video to share with you
It will be on the Lavinia YouTube channel plus my own at 5pm.
Here is the link

I hope you enjoy it.

Have a lovely day, whatever you are doing.

Take care all.

Much love and hugs

Bay leaf Cottage

Good morning everyone,
I do hope your Thursday has started well.
I have already been on grandma duties, boys up dressed and safely delivered to nursery.
Although Jenson did say
‘No nursery, grandmas house today ‘
So I may just get a phone call later…

Today is the day that the new Lavinia stamps are available on the website.
So I have another sample to share with you.

This one uses the largest of the new lodge stamps.
Bay leaf  Cottage.

I started by stamping the cottage in black Versafine Clair ink and on water colour card.

Next I used my Elements ink pads to create the sky

Followed by some land.

I then used my watercolour paints to add more detail.
I do love the rich colours.

I adore the new silhouette foliage stamps, so I added these.
Next some highlights and shadows.

Plus the little charms .
These little Fairy charms are such a great addition to our collection .

Here is a closer look at the cottage.

So many possibilities with these new stamps.

Thanks for joining me, and I hope you have a lovely day.
I must get on as I have a long list of jobs to do before
picking the boys up at 5pm.

Take care all

Love and hugs

Pipin and the Mistletoe

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope your day is going well.
It has been raining here in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire all day.
Eric has had 2 wet dog walks so far.

Today I have a video on the Lavinia YouTube channel.

I have been asked for some Festive cards that aren’t the usual Christmas designs and that don’t have snow on them.
So this is one of my designs.
I hope you like it.
Obviously it could be altered and used for any time of the year.

You can find the link here

Live a sweet life

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope Monday finds you well and that you had a lovely weekend.
Our family wedding was such a wonderful occasion and Harriet looked really beautiful.
The rain managed to stay away and it was lovely to see so many people again.
It was vary hard though as Mikey and Fran couldn’t join us as they had tested positive for Covid.
I am just so glad that they have both had their jabs so at least they only had mild symptoms…

Today I have another recent Aall & Create sample to share with you.

As you know I just love creating Clean and Simple card designs.
These fabulous Janet Klein frogs really make me smile.

I started with a stencil background…and I used a couple of shades of green.

Next came that sharpie edge.

Followed by some washi tape.

I stamped my images, added some colour and then cut them out.
I used watercolour paints as I wanted quite a bright look to this design.

When I had assembled the design, I couldn’t resist adding a crown.
Janet is so good and many of the stamp sets have little accessories on them, and yes,
Hey presto , I found a crown.

Here is a closer look

Another fun design.

I must say he actually reminds me of the way of couple of guests looked at breakfast yesterday,
Not me, I must add.

Thanks so much for joining me
Much love and hugs

Be Brave

Good morning everyone.
Well we made it to Friday
Although it is Friday the 13th. !!!!
I hope you day has started well and that you have a lovely weekend planned.
We have a family wedding tomorrow.
It will be so lovely to see everyone, except, I haven’t got a thing to wear…
Nothing fits me anymore (except elasticated waist trousers )
And there isn’t anything suitable around, grrr
So I have an emergency bin bag at the ready.
The weather forecast for the Peak District is rain…
Deep joy
It just gets better
Hey hoo…
But I am so pleased that wedding can go ahead…and the main thing is that
Harriet and Rob have an amazing day
They are such a wonderful couple.

Today I have another All and Create sample to share with you.
Again using some fabulous Janet Klein stamps,

You know how I love looking for different ways to use the stamps.
I just couldn’t resist some tightrope walking .

I started off by creating the sky using one of Janet’s stencils.

Next I added some flowers.

Followed by some washi tape to add grounding.
I stamped my images, added some colour and cut them out.

I added some black elastic and wound it around the trees, before sticking everything down.

Some shadows and highlights just add the finishing details

I thought the Be Brave sentiment complemented the whole design.

Another fun, happy card.

Thanks for joining me,
As always take care.

Much love and hugs
