Tonight I am sharing the card that I made for Sheila's Birthday last week.

The topper is grunge paste through the Lantern Pod Clarity Stencil. Left to dry and coloured using Adirondack ink...

The background is the very useful Sunset Stencil...

It has been another busy day here, making samples for the Clarity show on Sunday.....and yes we have more fabulous stamps....new favourite Stencils....

Must dash.....

Untitled

Good morning all and thank you for looking in today.

Oh what a busy week it has been, but as always full of lots of fun and laughter...

On Wednesday I was asked to visit a lovely craft group in Warrington....Crafty Friends run by Jackie and Sue, such a great and enthusiastic bunch of ladies....

I spent some time demonstrating Clarity Stencils using inks and then the shaving foam came out to play...

The ladies did enjoy it when they then had chance to have a go...

I never get tired of using this great technique....in fact here is one of my samples from last months Clarity tv...

Using the shaving foam background, the Bird Tree Stencil and Black Soot Distress Ink...

Here is the same image but in a stamp....how cool....this was another of my samples....simple but effective....

( I think I am having a bit of a bold and bright phase...!!! lol. )

I am off to the lakes today to see my Mum and Dad.....and then to my sisters ready for Clarity Cumbria tomorrow...I am really looking forward to it....I love it when crafters become friends....and we have built up such a lovely group of great ladies....we do have room for a few more so if you are interested just drop me an email......jrcrafts28@gmail.com

Better get a wriggle on....

Have a Good Friday...and I must just say to a very special lady...Rachel...we will be thinking of you and wishing Shaun a speedy recovery...big hugs....you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers....

Monday catch up.

Good afternoon, I hope you are well..... I am just having my afternoon cup of tea and thought I would have a catch up with you lovely readers.

Welcome to our new followers, pull up a chair and make yourself at home...

Today started with another visits to the doctors for me...to get stronger painkillers for my hand...6 weeks on and the doctor assures me that it is only ligament and nerve damage and will slowly get better...she did say that the swelling is getting worse instead of better....now why doesn't that fill me with confidence?

Hey ...ho.....

Today I have been catching up on my 'To Do' list....with my crafty companion.....

Sometimes I have to squeeze in the little gap that she leaves me...this was Tess this morning....

This was Tess on Friday....

Back to the weekend Mikey did his Abseil down the bell tower at the Trafford Centre....not easy to watch....but well...that's part of being a mum...

It was all in a good cause.

Well Done to Mikey, Tara and Lewis.....oh and Gusto Didsbury...

No new art work from me today as it is going to the publishers....you will see it soon....

But I must remember to tell you that I have been chosen for the top three again for the PanPastel Challenge with my Pink entry....thanks ladies...

Time to walk Tess, then ironing for me...thanks for looking in today ......

As always I really appreciate you visiting me....

Much love,

Main Colour Red

Good morning and welcome to Friday and a new Challenge on the Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog.

The theme is ......Main Colour Red....and is hosted by Celine and sponsored by Crafty Sentiments....

Here is my take on it...hope you like it...

The main image is the Poppies in bloom Clarity stamp.

I started by stamping it copier paper,

And cutting the poppies out to make a mask.

Next I stamped the poppies onto my topper,

Placed the mask over,

And then stamped the script stamp.....organically....ie...without a mount...( it helps when using a mask )

When I removed the mask, this is what I had.

Next I used my Spectrum Noir pencils to add some colour..

Then some Distress Ink for around the edge..

The background was created with Distress ink and the script stamp.

Next I added some ribbon and some red card...

I stamped the sentiment ...

Used some gorgeous flowers and leaves from Sweet Lilac Paper Flowers.

You can find them here.....http://sweetlilacflowers.blogspot.co.uk.

Stamped a butterfly,

And started to assemble my design,

Here is a close up..

I do hope that you enter our challenge....or just pop over and have a look at the brilliant inspiration from my fellow D.T. Members......http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.

Thanks for looking in today, have a great weekend all. If you are going to Ally Pally make sure you say hi to Barbara and Dee....

On Saturday I will be watching Mikey do his sponsored Abseil 197 feet down a tower at the Trafford Centre to raise funds for the British Red Cross Society...( as part of the Gusto team )

So enjoy your weekend and see you next week

Hugs,

Jo. X

What a weekend.

Good afternoon all, what a lovely day it has been. . I have just walked Tess and it is so warm outside....a real treat.

What a weekend we had at Catterick, thank you to all the lovely crafters who came, some traveled miles,

We set up on the Friday, a brilliant venue, Thanks to Heather and Len for finding it,

Here is Mandy, Elaine and Heather

Barbara and Maria making plans,

Sam and Paul....up to no good !!!!

Dee allready for the off,

And myself with Chloe, who is a whizz with all things Clarity.

It was a brilliant two days.....and the atmosphere really was electric....

And it is always good to catch up with pals.

Denise brought her lovely daughter with her...

And look who nearly got packed away in the back off the van!!!!

I am so privileged to be part of such a fantastic team, and enjoye every minute of it...

Here are some of my demonstration samples,

This sample shows how Perfect Pearls can be used to colour Grunge Paste..

Just add water and paint it on...it is really relaxing...

Remember you don't need to use the whole stencil,

Just part of it is good,

Sam and I were a double act, she was showing how to apply G.P. And then I was colouring it, ( team work )

Thanks mate...

G.P. On black card....

I love this combination of Stamp, Stencil and G.P.

Every part of the weekend was just perfect, from the venue, the team, the products and demonstrations , the crafters, and off course the driving force behind it all....Barbara and Dave....

I must just thank the lovely ladies and gentlemen who did the catering, they were just brilliant...

If you missed the open days you can see all the Clarity products here... http://www.claritystamp.co.uk

I am off now....need to pack the car ready for Workshops in Hazel Grove tomorrow.....

Gelli plate play time....

Thanks for looking in today...

Hugs,

Ready for Clarity in Catterick...

Good evening all, so sorry that I haven't been around for the last few days.

I have had some magazine samples to make, housework to do, and preparations to make for this weekends open days in Catterick..I am really looking forward to them....the ones in Kent were amazing.....

It is so good to spend time with friend and the Clarity family....and to catch up with Barbara and Dave....oh such a lovely couple and so hard working...I really am blessed to be part of the team.....

Unfortunately my hand is still playing up, no results yet from the x-Ray, but being a radiographer I know how long these things can take...I will just make up for being slow demonstrating by talking a lot......and yes Mum at this point I can hear you say...." That's why we knicknamed you Chatterbox as a child!!!"

I have been playing with Grunge Paste, my friend Sam showed me how to use it and I have been playing ever since with various ways of colouring it once dry...here is one of my samples ....

I started by colouring the card with Adirondack inks, using my Stencil brushes and some Clarity Stencils.

Next I added the Japanese Reeds Stencil and dragged some G.P. Through...then left it to dry.

Once dry, I replaced the stencil and added colour using Adirondack inks and a make up sponge.

I stamped some images from the Remountable bugs set, coloured them, cut them out and attached them.

Some Bakers Twine, Glossy Accents and a Word from the word chains....and all done.

I do hope that you like this. Thanks for looking in today....I will show you more ways of adding colour next week...

I am setting off early tomorrow,...fingers crossed for a good journey.....have a good weekend all and if you can't make it to Catterick have a look at the web site for all your Clarity needs. http://www.claritystamp.co.uk.

Much love,

Jo. X
