Hummingbirds.

Good morning everyone and thanks for joining me today.

Welcome to our new follower, I do hope you enjoy our little blog , it is mainly crafty chat, with some coffee, cake and the odd Labrador thrown in for good measure...and knowing me ...may be the odd innuendo too!!!

It is another busy week here, but I am slowly ticking the jobs off my to do list..

This morning I thought I would share one of the samples I made for Pauls shows on Sunday...it uses the gorgeous new hummingbird Groovi plate and coloured parchment. These are such a joy to work with...

I simply added some colour with my Spectrum Noir pencils.

It has been another lovely dog walk this morning...and it was a bit cooler today , did you have the thunderstorm last night? Poor Tess was terrified...

This was Tess and Eric yesterday,,,can you see the horses in the background ? Well two of them had their foals last week...it was amazing how quickly they got on their feet....with no help from anyone,..

Here they are at a couple of days old...

I do worry when they are asleep , I feel so much better when I see them move..

Speaking of moving...good news that my Mum has moved out of her hospital bed and has gone home...

With her pot leg , a Zimmer frame and some crutches...

Sorry Dad...but your peace and quiet has come to an end...!!! lol...

Take care Mum, do as the physio tells you...

Much love and hugs..

Jo. xxx

Love this composition Jo. Is there a way to 'smooth' out the pencil when colouring? I was using my Prismacolour pencils but found them a bit streaky. Glad to hear that your Mum is out of hospital. I hope she mends soon. x

I must admit when colouring I always blend my colours by going over the whole area with a pale or white pencil. I find this works well with the Spectrum Noirs, and I don't get streaks...it may be worth a try.... Let me know how you get on...xx
