Bubbles....

Good evening and thanks for joining me today, we have another new follower to join our happy little band so I would like to say welcome , come on in, pull up a chair and relax.....

How is your week going? Mine has been busy playing catch up after our family wedding at the weekend., thank you so much for all your lovely comments, and emails...

Did you manage to catch Barbara with her sell out shows? I missed them on Sunday, as we were travelling...and unfortunately I am one of the freeview viewers who has lost the channel until May....but thank goodness for catch up...it is so easy....

You can watch the shows on your computer, laptop, iPhone or iPad...all you do is go onto the Hochanda website, then onto catch up, you choose the day and then the show....just brilliant...

So I thought I would share one of my samples with you...now...you all know me so well...I have a thing about bubbles...I just love them , stamps, stencils, ....I find myself going for circles ( not round in circles....but I do feel as though I do that too!!!)

It is funny , a bit like some of us buy lots of shoes, others it is handbags...me ...well it is scarves ....

Anyway...back to my sample...

I made it to show case the new alphabet stamps...

The idea in my head was like one of those games where coins drop down , now if you look carefully it is a full alphabet where the CLARITY letters have dropped down..

I started with a piece of stencil card , the bubbles stencil from the background set , my stencil brush and some purple twilight Adirondack ink.

I lightly brushed the ink through, then went in again but concentrated the colour on the lower part of each bubble...remember to pinch the brush to give a more concentrated coverage of ink.

Next I needed to make the seven bubbles at the base of the page. I used some post it notes and masked off the chosen bubble...then created them one at a time,,.starting with the middle one, followed by the two outside ones. And finally filling in the gaps.

Next came the stamping....that was fun...the number of times I went through the full alphabet in my head.

Black archival ink works well.

I added shade at the base of each I bubble with a charcoal pencil, and a white highlight at the top with a gel pen.

This is a great way to add dimension...

A black sharpie edge, and my design was finished

I do love this alphabet, no wonder that it sold out...all the Clarity products can be found on the Clarity website.....Here.

Tomorrow is workshop day in Hazel Grove, I always look forward to spending time with these lovely ladies, and then on Saturday it is the first Clarity Anglesey of the year...another group of lovely ladies....( oh I do love my job, hobby...pastime.....

Whilst I remember, thanks for your kind emails asking about Glasgow...but don't worry...Clarity Glasgow is not stopping , in fact we have three more dates so far this year...all it is ....is that my lovely friend Emma Burns, is going to be heading up the Clarity Groovi classes in Scotland...well it makes complete sense to us both after all she is a very talented parchment teacher...that way we can offer workshops in Groovi and inky stamps and stencils......

We hatched a plan, after all we are on the same team,,,,,

Must get on now...

Enjoy your evening...

Love and hugs

Jo xxxx

Lovely card Jo. I love this alphabet. I too missed the shows as we're on freebies also. Good thing is we now have fibre optic internet so I can watch without buffering!
I have had a lovely weekend crafting with friends on Saturday afternoon. It is good to share skills and time crafting.
I am looking forward to to Emma's Groovi day and to the next clarity Glasgow.
Happy crafting!
