Smitten With Stars

Good morning all ,
I hope you are well this Monday morning
The sun is shining here again, it was another beautiful morning walk for Eric and me.
We had a busy weekend, after Saturdays workshop the boys came for a sleep over .
In our bubble , just in case anyone is wondering.
So Saturday afternoon and evening were filled with lots of play, making lasagna, bath and bedtime.
All four of us were fast asleep by 9-30pm....and the first noise on Sunday morning
At 6-30 am was Eric 🐾.
Not the boys, they slept well.
Eric however gets so excited he wants them up and downstairs as early as possible.
Sunday morning and Elliots football training is back so Grandad took him to that whilst Jenson and I  played in the garden.
I can tell you by the time they went home yesterday afternoon both Karl and I were shattered, but in a good way.
I know how lucky we are that we can spent time with them.
I do think at the minute we all are appreciating the true value of family and good friends.
Look what arrived for me on Friday...

I really am such a lucky lady.

Today I wanted to share one of my recent Aall & Create samples with you.

It uses one of the new stencils that will be on The Craft Store as part of the One Day Special this evening.
It is available all ready from local stockists.
Check out Stampers Grove

I began by brushing ink through the stencil.
I love using these 3 colours and they blend so well, and give beautiful shades of green and purple.

Look

Next I added some letters, some shading and the usual posca splatters.

To finish off I highlighted the main star with glossy accents, and sprinkled some glitter into it.
Have you tried it,
Such a fun trick...
Here is a closer look 👀

Thanks for joining me.
Coffee time here
Before I go a couple of photos from the weekend,
Elliot ready for football and Jenson playing  in our homemade ball pool

I may just need a nana nap today

Take care everyone,
Big hug if today is a difficult day...

Moon stars

Good morning all,
Wow, it is Friday, we made it.
Today it is our Adams ( eldest son ) Birthday
I can’t believe he is 32 years old. Wow, where did the time  go ?

I hope you have some sun shining on you today  and that you are feeling well and positive.
I have another  headache, but hey ho
I’m still hoping to get some jobs ticked off the list.

I thought I would start by sharing a sample with you, using a new die by Bipasha Bk for Aall & Create .

I just love the classy, clean and simple lines.

I started by simply die cutting the design.

I then took the waste and matted and layered it.
I just wanted to keep to a monochromatic design.

I then added the die cut back into the design...
A technique that I love to use.

I felt the design just needed something else, so I had a spare butterfly flying around...
So on he went
I added a stamped sentiment which I cut into segments , plus  some posca splatters .
Here is a closer look

I have to be honest,
I think this is such an effective piece of art, but so easy to achieve.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.
Those who are joining me tomorrow for our Masterboard online workshop.
I will see you at 11am..

Take care everyone
Much love and hugs

Tea light holders.

Good morning all,
Hope you are well today.
Another frosty start today, so another cold dog walk with Eric.
I am hoping that the sun will appear later and that it will be a dry, sunny day.
I am hoping to get all my jobs ticked off the list so that I can go and do a little gardening this afternoon.

Today I have something a bit different to share with you.
A way of recycling your glass jars.

I love creating these beautiful tea light holders.
You can use battery operated ones, or solar lights, so many possibilities.

I have made a little you tube video showing you some ideas.

You can find it here

We have so many stamps that are just perfect for these.

I hope you have fun.

Take care all

Hexagons & Buds

Good morning all,
I hope you are keeping well.
We have woken up to a very foggy day here in Cheshire.
What is the weather like for you today ?
It is quite cold too,
We definitely needed lots of layers when walking Eric first thing.

Today I have another recent sample for you.

This uses a fabulous new Aall & Create stencil .
#128-Hexagons & Buds by Bipasha Bk

I started by using the stencil on my gel press, I had to remember to place it upside down, so that the numbers will be the
correct way on my final print.
I used Colorbox ink as it has a good pigment to water ratio, great for the gel press.

I just love the way the print has turned out...

Next I blended some ink around the edges, and added some water splatters,
You know I just love the way this frames the design.

I wanted to keep the print quite simple as I didn’t want to loose my stencil piece so that it just became almost
Invisible in the background.
So I needed a focal point, but not one that would take away the beauty of the background.

So added a little more stamping in black and some carrots , plus a little pen doodling.

I just added a little colour to the carrots and decoupaged their bodies.
Oh that sounds painful,,,lol.

I also decoupaged the number section, another recent obsession of mine.

Some white posca splats to add the finishing detail.

Here is a closer look

I think this would make a great card for a gardener , male or female.
Maybe include a packet of seeds too.

Thanks for joining me again,
I hope you enjoy the rest of your day.

Much love and hugs

Diamonds are a girls best friend.

Good morning everyone,
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
The weather was a bit mad, wasn’t it ?
Sun one minute and snow the next.

We had a wonderful workshop on Saturday and we looked at designs suitable for Men’s cards.

Today I am sharing one of my samples for today’s
One Day Special  on The Craft Store

It uses a couple of the new diamond stencils from
Aall & Create, along with a cute little girl from Janet Klein.

I started with a mop up piece of card from cleaning my stencil.

Then I added a similar print but using a different colour ink and the smaller stencil.
I do love how they work so well together .

Next I stamped this beautiful foliage stamp from Bipasha .
Then I stamped and added some colour to our cutie .
She is so adorable

As usual I added colour firstly with ink and water, and then added shade and highlights with
Chalk pastel  pencils.
They really are becoming my go to pencils.

A couple of the ‘ticker tape ‘ embellishments.
Another one of my obsessions of the moment.
It is funny how we get into these things isn’t it. ?

Then I looked in my stash and found some moss,
perfect cushion for my cutie

One of the new washi tape has numbers on it and they are great just to add a little bit more interest to the design.

Some charcoal shading and posca splats to complete the design

I just love this type of design, it has white space, but also a beautiful focal point with so much detail.
It is also so lovely to be able to mix and match the designs from the different designers at Aall & Create.

I have more samples to create today.
Although I may be a little slow.
For some reason I kept coughing in the night and my chest is painful again.
But hey ho.
I will just take it slowly

I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are up too

Take care
Much love and hugs
