Mushroom Lanterns

Hi everyone,
thanks so much for popping in today
I do hope you had a lovely weekend

We had more snow, ice and yes it was freezing.
Good excuse for hot chocolate

These were for the boys when we got back from school on Friday.

I love how my garden looks in winter…
I made sure that there was plenty of food for the birds too.

They are so hungry at this time of year

This was the sky this morning when I was walking Eric

I don’t know where today has gone, so many jobs to do,,.
I have a long list
Do you have days like this ?

Never mind…it will all be better with coffee and cake

As it is Monday
I have our Monday catch up video to share with you
Today I am going to be stamping using a variety of Blue inks.

Here is a closer look .

I do hope you can join me here

Another great idea for the Lavinia Challenge

That’s it from me…

Much love and hugs

It had to be Poppies

Hi everyone,
Warm hugs
Thanks so much for popping in today.

I walked the boys to school today in a snow blizzard….thank goodness it has stopped now.

I have just been in the garden to give the birds some food and fresh water
This is the front of our house…our little camper van is covered in snow.

So I decided to have a lovely warm cup of coffee and a play with the new
Mica Minerals.

They are fabulous on black card

Here is a closer look

Simple stamping in VersaMark ink…the sticky one

Then gently add the mica minerals.
Remember a dabbing motion and small amounts at a time.

I added them one colour at a time.

To clean off the bloom (excess powder around the image ) and buff up the mica I always use
a cotton pad…as it is nice and gentle

I added some mica mineral splatters,
Some posca pen

Wow look at that shine
It really doesn’t show up

I do hope you will have a play…
Enjoy

Take care
Keep safe and warm

Much love and hugs

Magical Mica Minerals

Hi everyone,
Thanks for popping in today.
How are you keeping ? January can be a difficult month
Big hugs to all.
Warm ones…it is freezing here.

Today I wanted to pop in with a little design using a stencil and a couple of the new
Lavinia Mica Minerals.
Fabulous new Colours.

This is such a fun technique.
First of all I masked off my panel.

Then dabbed the Versamark ink through the stencil…
A dab is better than a rub as you don’t want to smudge the edges of the design.

No rush as the ink stays sticky for quite a while

Once I removed the stencil and put it straight into warm soapy water ,
I then added the mica minerals
Again this is a dabbing motion…not a rubbing one
I use a small soft brush which I keep just for mica minerals.

You don’t need a lot of powder on the brush
Remember you can always add more

When I looked under the tape , I felt the edges of the design were too white..
So I added a little bit of Lime Punch ink with a number 3 stencil brush

To tidy up any loose mica powder I gently brushed the design with a cotton pad
I find kitchen towel to rough

I stamped the sentiment and some butterflies

Added some gold splats using the powder and water.
These have such a shine to them

Once I had addd colour to the butterflies , cut them out and added them the design was complete.

Here is a closer look

This is a great way to add the mica minerals to a design…
If you haven’t tried it , I would love you to have a go

Enjoy your day
Big hugs

Out Of The Blue

Hi everyone,
Thanks so much for popping in today.
I do hope your day is going well.
It was very icy here this morning,
Poor Danielle was involved in an accident heading to work this morning ,
Thank goodness she is ok and the boys weren’t in the car with her as the car has been written off.
Please take care everyone.

I promised yesterday that I would pop back today with a free design
An extra , created from cleaning my stencil.
This was the stencil that I used yesterday

After adding water , I got this print.
I do love to do this

Next I used the circle mask and some ink to create a large orb

Inside I stamped one of the Lilliums , along with the
orchard grass

I added some depth using pastel pencils

Next some items to decoupage…let’s add some drama

To make the blue hues pink I added some bright yellow pen ,

A sentiment sticker , some posca splats and 3d glue gel…

Look at that depth.

I love this especially as it all started by cleaning the  stencil…

Remember all the information about the challenge is on the
Lavinia website

Also do check out the gallery with samples from me and the rest of the
Full Time Creative Producers.
New Year and a New Title and Role
I love it 🩵

Take care all

January and Blue Hues

Hi everyone,
Happy New Year’s Day
I do hope your day has started well.

As it is the first of January we have a new
Lavinia Challenge

Our new theme is

Blue Hues

Here is some inspiration

Remember all the information is on the Lavinia website, and most importantly the winner is chosen at random and
Wins £40 Lavinia stamps voucher.

I used the mini hill masks to create my panel
I love panel cards but just fancied mixing it up a bit with the shape.
You know me,,,I like to be different

I added a stencil some ink, and then some water splats

After removing the mini hill masks , I added some shade using pastel pencils

A sentiment stamp and some
Butterfly stickers to finish off the design.

I spritzed my stencil to clean it and took a print.
Pop back tomorrow to see what I made with the print

Have a lovely day
Relax, and enjoy

Much love and hugs
