Brighton Rock

Good evening all and thanks for popping in. I do hope that your weekend has started well, mine started with my voice getting more squeaky by the minute. It got very sore and eventually I had to give in and rest it.

So Karl had a wonderful Friday evening and enjoyed the peace and quiet.

Today I have been to a Parchment class run by the very talented and lovely Susan Moran , it was amazing,,,,and I have to say that I loved the grid work and snipping that we did,,,so much so. That I can't wait to do some more...

So look out ladies....!!!!

I am now home and ready for a Saturday evening with Mr Rice,,,and I am sure a glass of Prosecco will help my throat...

Before we settle down , I just thought I would share this card with you

I made it for Barbara's recent Hochanda tv show. It uses one of the Backing papers from the Brighton Rock Designer pack created by our very own lovely lady, Dee Paramour...

I started by matting and layering the backing paper, adding the Eiffel Tower stamp using Black Archival ink

And then creating my topper , by stamping the speech bubble in versamark ink , adding white embossing powder and heat setting. Then using similar colour Artistry ink pads, blending and adding some water splashes.. then finally adding some more stamping.

I do love this technique and it matches the backing paper a treat...

I stamped the sketch lady and coloured her using Spectrum Noir pencils, and finally stamped the word Grace...

Once I had all the components, it took me ages to decide how to arrange them...it is funny....it always takes me ages to do this bit....but finally , I settled on this design and glued everything into position. I did have to add some of my favourite Bakers Twine...

There are four different paper pads and I love them all, and so will you...

I have just heard the popping of the cork, so I am going to love you and leave you

First Christmas card of the year,

Good evening everyone and thanks for popping in. It has gone very cold outside , and I believe we may be in for some snow over the next few days.

Today it was the first workshop of the year and it was so good to be back with the ladies.

I am so chuffed to say that I have made my first Christmas card of the year,,,yah....I have never been this organised before !!!! lol..

We used the fabulous Jayne Nestorenko stamps, I do love these...

One of my latest obsessions is Kraft card . This design is stamped in Potting soil Archival ink , coloured with Spectrum Noir pencils and then some Picket Fence Distress ink.... another must have ink pad

 

The snow is Ultra thick embossing enamel , and heated from underneath, now that was fun today,,,,and we didn't need the fire extinguisher.....although I was looking forward to seeing the fire men,,,,( well men in uniform.....)

We just took our time and enjoyed using these great stamps ,

Here is a very quick and easy design ,

So I am now ahead....I can tell you that it won't last long...

This afternoon , Eileen ( aka the camel lady ) noticed that I seemed to have a bit of a husky voice....

Well by the time I got home , it sounded worse, and now it has almost completely gone...

Karl thinks it is wonderful and is looking forward to some peace and quiet....

So on that note , I am going to make a hot chocolate ...

New workshop dates...

Good evening all, hope your week has started well..

It is all go here, and I really don't know where today has gone,,,

I have been getting my books up to date and filling in that self assessment form ,,.that I love so much!!!!lol

I am really looking forward to getting back to workshops and seeing all my crafty friends again...

They kick of with our local Cheshire Crafts groups at Hazel Grove on Wednesday..

What a day

Good afternoon everyone and thanks for joining me....it is always great to have your company...

What a day it has been , have you seen the Fantastic news?

Barbara and Dave have been working really hard and can now announce that they have taken over Pergamano ....oh it's going to be so exciting...

So many new tools and products to play with....and sorry Linda and Jose but I will be asking for advice,,,,

So many new workshops planned for this year...I do love to be busy..

You see I just love to spend time with such great crafters...who have become firm friends...and yes we have a laugh too....and sometimes get a bit naughty,,,,!!! But we have such a bond...and it is so good to see friendships develop....

Sometimes the classes act as a catalyst, bringing people together and I see new friendships blossom,,,

I have so much to be thankful for,,.and I really appreciate it...

Before I go and tackle the ironing mountain...

I just want to remind you that our Barbara is on Hochanda on Sunday

With fabulous new products, including backing papers, stencils , stamps and Groovi plates..

Morning all.

Good morning all, hope your week is going well.

Have you taken your tree down, put your decorations away and are you back in the weekly swing of things ?

Our tree is still standing , but I am going to get everything put back into the loft this afternoon. It all had to wait until I had delivered some samples to the publishers and posted some samples to Clarity Towers.

I am so excited with the new papers that Barbara and Dee have designed...they really are fabulous and so versatile. ..Well Done ladies...After all we all Need backing papers ....yah...

I also have a new technique to share....but more on that later...

So before I go and tackle the cleaning .....

I thought I would have a coffee, and a catch up...

I adore these Jayne Nestorenko stamps. And if you have got the latest Creative Stamping magazine you will see their is a give away....

And remember you can mix your stamps, stencils, Groovi etc...

I really do love to mix up techniques and products

Happy New Year..

Good afternoon everyone ....

Thanks for popping in on the last day of 2016.... how are you feeling, sad, optimistic or just excited....??

Whatever is happening in your life I truly wish you a happy and healthy time ahead...

None of us know what is in store so I think we just need to make the most of what life throws at us...

Not always easy ...I know...

I do find that a bit of lippy helps!!! lol..

Have a wonderful evening , whatever you get up too...it will be a quiet one here , Karl, me and the dogs...

Mikey and Fran are working all evening , Adam and Danielle have both been working all day and they are off to Leeds for the evening.

I dare say we will find a bottle of bubbles to share...

We are so excited about it...

So it's all about looking forward....with new and exciting times ahead...

And spending time with people who really matter....
