Wonderful weekend.

Hi everyone, 

Thanks so much for popping in today. 

I hope you are having a wonderful bank holiday weekend.

On Saturday it was the craft show in Leigh, it is always such a pleasure to demonstrate using 

Lavinia stamps. 

It was such a great day and Lisa, James and myself had so much fun. 

Yesterday it was my Birthday,,,and I spent it with close friends and family. 

The weather was fabulous, we laughed, ate cake and had some bubbles. 

Thanks so much to all of you who sent me messages, cards, gifts, flowers…

Honestly I feel so spoilt..

It took me over an hour just to open my cards…

I did spend time on the phone with my lovely Mum, so that we could remember my dad. 

It has been a year since he left us and we miss him everyday,,,

But I do know that he will be looking down on us and be so proud ….🧡

Welcome Dinkles to our family

Hi everyone, 

Me again. 

Today is the day that we welcome 

Dinkles to the Lavinia Family.

These are a powder…full of pigment…

It is super fine and has been specially developed for Lavinia.

The colours have been specifically chosen to complement Lavinia designs 

Once water is added you can see the magic happen.

Here I have simply added some stamping….and used the Dinkles in the background and for 

some watercolour painting.

Back to it

Hi everyone, 

Hope you are keeping well. 

Thanks so much for popping in today…

We got into Manchester at 1am this morning…after such a wonderful week away.

It was just the break that we needed…

Catching up with sleep, reading books, and just taking time out. 

This weekend is going to be bitter sweet, 

On Sunday I will be celebrating my 60th Birthday, 

but it will also be twelve months since we lost my lovely dad…

Time to reflect

Eric went mad when we walked in, he loves Aunty Lisa…but I think he had missed us. 

Thanks so much to Lisa for looking after him…oh and the fish…Batman and Spider-Man.

The cases are empty and the washing machine  is on…

I have been to the supermarket and I am now in my craft room…

I will try and catch up with messages, emails etc…

Mindful Monday Time from Cape Verde

It is a special holiday as I have a significant Birthday at the weekend.

The room is fabulous, a minibar stocked up everyday and these optics on the wall. 

I have just had time to relax and read this fabulous book.

Nigel I have loved every minute of it…

Stencil play

Mid Month Reminder

Hi everyone, 

Thanks so much for popping in again. 

This morning I am just here with a quick reminder for you. 

It is the mid month reminder for our 

Lavinia Challenge 

The theme is 

Through the mist 

Here is another sample for you. 

I started off with some stamping on watercolour card

Then I added some brusho powders 

The puffer tool is great with brusho powders. 

I love the way this just happens,

So finishing touches with glossy accents and posca pens.

Sunday catch up

Hi everyone, 

Thanks so much for popping in today. 

I do hope you have had a lovely weekend. 

Yesterdays class at Lavinia HQ was fabulous. 

Such a wonderful group of ladies (as always)

Such an amazing way to spend the day, and look 

Wendy came all the way from Australia…

Ok so she is on holiday…but she really did come over from Australia. 

Jack was in the shop, so good to have Jack hugs on a Saturday. 

The only downside to my day was that the M56 was closed, so I had an alternative route, but that had 

a road closure too…with no diversion…grrr 

It took over 2 hours to get home

So glad I had some Prosecco waiting in the fridge. 

Today we have been up to Kendal to see my Mum, 

Always lovely to have coffee and cake with her and be able 

to give her a hug.

I even took up a Pork casserole which I had made..get me 😂

Be warned though 

It is about 50mins long

So you will definitely need a brew and a cheeky biscuit (maybe a packet of cheeky biscuits)

Greyboard Friday

Hi everyone, 

Thanks so much for popping in and 

welcome to our new followers on here.

Welcome to the family. 

Today Lavinia have launched some fabulous Greyboard shapes…

Clocks, Cogs and Numbers…

Very useful indeed.

I have used an  Mdf box, which is  available on the website and decorated it…

I do hope you like it.

Those of you who have been with me for years will recognise this mixed media technique…

It’s not new, in fact I have taught it for years.

But I still love it…

Hope you do too….

If it’s no your things , don’t worry at all. 

I will have more Lavinia stamping designs to share with you on Monday. 

I started by taking the hinges off the box…

I put them safe in one of my tins.

Next I played and had fun arranging the Greyboard.

And yes, I did keep changing my mind,

When happy I stuck it all down with some glue , I also added a little glass bottle and hinge clip.

Next I painted the whole thing with black gesso…

When dry I started adding some metallic gilding polish 

Plush some mystical sprays…

Some sentiment stickers and posca pen added the finishing touches…

Then I added 2 coats of Collage medium…for protection…

I just love every bit of this….so much so, 

I have ordered another box to decorate…

There really are so many possibilities with these products.
