Fun with Mixed Media

Hi everyone, 

Thanks so much for popping in today. 

I do hope your day is going well

I have a different type of sample to share with you today. 

I loved every minute of creating this, 

Although some parts were a bit fiddly…

The wooden base is from Lavinia 

After some gesso and Elements ink on the wooden base, 

I made myself some backgrounds, 

I couldn’t resist using some of the new stamps too (released this Friday ) 

Next I wanted to add some texture into the roof space.

So I used a product that I had bought from Lavinia a while ago..not knowing what I was going to do with it 

Next some metallic gilding wax 

Oh and I made my own little books , that was fun 🤩 

Lots of accessories too..

That’s the fun part, 

And some Versafine Clair ink on the roof just to finish off the whole design

When finished I did seal everything with Crafters Companion spray sealant 

I used spray and sparkle…

Well I just had too…it’s so magical 

I just love all the detail…

Tuesday catch up

Hi everyone, 

Hope your day is going well.

I have to keep reminding myself that it is Tuesday 

Even though it feels like a Monday 

Poor Adam and family are stuck in Spain, 

They should have flown back yesterday but like hundreds of people they are stranded 

Not the best with 2 young boys…bless them 

I have had a busy day,,,

Up early, walked Eric, did food shop, had a hair cut 

All before coffee and then I have been tacking my 

To do list 

And yes it is raining again today

Bank Holiday Monday

Hi everyone, 

I do hope you had a lovely weekend. 

Here in England in the UK  is a bank holiday today 

and yes , it is cloudy and raining again. 

Our online Canada workshop was fabulous on Saturday evening (Sat morning in Canada ) 

Such a wonderful group of ladies. 

I am so proud of all the cards too…thanks so much to those of you who have posted photo in our group. 

On Friday we have some new stamps  being launched at Lavinia. 

They are fabulous and so beautifully drawn. 

These books are going to be so popular

Next added some ink 

Followed by more colour and some finishing off pieces

Tuesday with Logan and a stencil mosaic

Hi everyone, 

I do hope today finds you well. 

I was up early this morning and drove to Kendal to spend a few hours with my Mum. 

Life has just been so busy recently I haven’t been able to visit her much.

I took her shopping and we had time for coffee and cake before I drove back in time to give Eric his medication..

There had been an accident on the M6 too so the journey home was a bit longer than it should have been,,,but all 

worth it to spend a few hours catching up.

A Festive Design for a Monday

Hi everyone, 

I do hope you had a lovely weekend. 

Our Lavinia workshop on Saturday was wonderful, 

such a lovely way to spend the day. 

Karl and Eric came with me to Ruthin, 

Whilst I was teaching they went for a walk and then to the campsite. 

I do love it when we stop over…

By 5-30 we were sat in the open drinking coffee and listening to birds singing, oh and the donkeys. 

We went back to our favourite campsite.

This time we even had some Welsh sun. 

On Sunday we went for a trip to Bala, had a lovely walk with Eric and then a coffee sat in the sun. 

It was so wonderful to have a day off together.

Friday catch up

Hi everyone, 

Hope today finds you well.

It is busy here with grandma duties. 

I took Elliot for a lovely long walk in the Cheshire countryside yesterday,,,

He loved it, we did catch a few Pokémon on my phone , and stopped for ice cream on the way home. 

It is Jenson’s last day at preschool today…I can’t believe he starts school in a few weeks.

Through The Trees

Hi everyone, 

Thanks so much for popping in again. 

Today I have a mid month reminder sample for you. 

Our Lavinia Challenge is 

Through The Trees this month

Here is my inspiration. 

I just love using stamps in different ways to everyone else.

I was so chuffed when I came up with this design…

Another one of those things that I think up in my sleep 😴 

I started by stamping the hares ears, 

Then making masks for them.

Next I used the masks to protect the ears and added some trees 

Then the sun and some ink blending  to create a frame 

Some extra leaves 

And water splats 

Finally I made the frame deeper 

Just so that the image would pop 

I love the shadow too 

Look 

Just magical 

I hope this inspires you to enter the challenge

Fabulous Sunday

We had a wonderful time yesterday at the 

Sincerely Yours craft show in Leigh.

It was so lovely to see so many friends and to meet new ones.
