Adding Brusho powder to the mix

Good afternoon all and thanks for popping in
I hope you are keeping well .
What a foggy start it was this morning, but it is so nice to see the sun peeping through.
Today I have a card to share with you

Before I talk about how I created it,
Look at this cobweb that I found down the Lane whilst walking Eric this morning

It is just so beautiful, and reminded me of the card.

Now you know we have been doing the acrylic block technique for years now...

Well, just to spice it up a bit,
We can add Brushos to the mix

Lots of different colour combinations can be used

Hours of fun, just creating backgrounds,

Then add some stamping

And maybe a little bit of doodling ( the spider )

I do hope you give this a go, it is great fun.

Take care all,
Still taking it slowly here...

Love and hugs

PanPastel play .

Good afternoon all,
Thanks for popping in today.
I hope you are well,
I am slowly getting back to normal.
What a change in the weather today....
Eric wasn’t  impressed with his wet dog walk this morning

I have made a little YouTube video...
I thought I had been away too long.
So I used what was on my desk, from the weekend.

So if you have PanPastels, why not get them out and have a little play.

The link is here

I had forgotten how much fun a rotating eraser was

Have fun

Nearly lunch time here

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Onwards and upwards

Good afternoon,
I hope you are keeping well and that you had a lovely weekend.
I had a major disaster on Saturday, it was workshop day , I hadn’t had much sleep and I felt really rough.
I was determined to carry on with the class,
Unbeknown to me Apple had done an update and all my settings had reverted to public.
So when the workshop went live it was like a Fb live and not just in our little workshop group.
This made it difficult for the ladies to find it but also ,
I am too scared to do a Fb live, especially when I felt so unwell.
I tried restarting  the class, but the same thing happened.
Honestly it was a nightmare,
I carried on with the PanPastel piece

But when it came to the alcohol inks ,
I just had to call it a day and finish early

I was so upset and embarrassed.
Karl came in to find me in tears.
I was ready to just give up with everything , I felt such a failure...
I just wanted to curl up and hide
I am so lucky that Karl sorted out the Fb settings and a couple of special  friends messaged and made
me feel so much better.
It is a times like that when you really find out who your friends are .
and I am so grateful to mine..
Thank you so much ladies .

Yesterday I rested and thank goodness I feel a little better today.
So fingers crossed in a few days ,
I will be back to normal.
If there is a normal

Take care all
Love and hugs

Small steps.

Good evening all , and thanks for popping in.
I have had to take it slowly again today , but thank
goodness that I feel a little better.
Although I have got a couple of lovely cold sores now...grrr
Thank you lovely friends for your messages , flowers and good wishes...
What a lovely group , you are

Jane , thanks so much for your fabulous card, it really cheered me up.
Today I managed a quick card using Lavinia SceneScapes....
These are perfect for last minute cards, or cards when you really don’t feel up to creating

Tomorrow we have an online workshop,
I am just hoping that my voice will last...
We are going to play with PanPastels and alcohol inks.
Although I fear the alcohol inks may not be good for my chest, so that part may be cut a bit short.

I hope you have a lovely weekend
Enjoy
and please take care of yourself

Much love and hugs

Coffee time

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are feeling well and enjoying this beautiful weather.
Did you have a nice weekend ?
We had booked a few days away in our little van but unfortunately my cough has got worse and we had to come
home early.
I’m not one for being unwell, but this chesty thing isn’t very nice.
I have seen the doctor this morning and she thinks it is a virus,
So just rest is needed.
Oh and to be on the safe side a Covid test, except non available in this area...
On the plus side I find it hard to talk and breath,
So Karl is enjoying some peace and quiet.

If ever you get chance to visit Capesthorne Hall,
It is so beautiful,
House, gardens and campsite.

Eric loved it

There are lots of woodland walks too,
Reminds me off this recent sample

I love the way we start with a white piece of card,
and just create magic

More stamping and some colour

Followed by some stencil work

And some finishing touches.
See how the charcoal pencil brings the tree roots to life .

Thanks for joining me,
I’m off now for a brew, lots of them needed today

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Friday again

Good afternoon all,
I do hope that your Friday is going well.
Another busy day here,
and workshop tomorrow, so still lots to do.
At least it isn’t raining , so that is a blessing.

Today I have some stencil and stamps fun to share with you.
This time using products from Aall & Create

This is how I created it.

First some blending  through the stencil.

Next I added some stamping and some of the new washi tape.

I stamped the butterfly wing, added some colour and then cut it out.
I just had to include a little coffee stirrer..
Also some glossy accents and a washer ring.
Here is a closer look.

It is lovely to have little trade mark accessories.

Tomorrow we are making an underwater canvas, so that will be fun.
Don’t forget that if you want to join in with the YouTube online classes,
Just drop me an email,
jrcrafts28@gmail.com
You can watch them and join in as many times as you wish,, and I have to say
that the projects that I have seen so far are just fabulous.

Take care everyone

Tuesday 1 September 2020

Dark, but bright.

Good morning all,
I hope your Tuesday is going well.
Can you believe that it is September...

As it is the first of September we have a new Lavinia Challenge.
Dark, but light.
Here is my inspiration for you

And here is how I created it

I started with Billy Brayer and just added a little colour to the card

Next I added the stencil and a darker colour.

This was the clean up from the stencil,
I am really looking forwards to using this.

Next I edged my card and added the moon.

I like to add some ink splats onto my backing card too.

I stamped the beautiful orchids

And then painted them.

Finally I added some secret stamping .
I love to do this , it adds such a twist to the design

It isn’t easy to photograph though.

I do hope you will enter the challenge .

I’m off now to record lesson 3 for the online classes.
I am so pleased with the response,
Remember you can watch them as many times as you wish, and whenever it fits in with you.
This really is such a great way to craft along.

Enjoy the rest of your day

Much love and hugs
