Santas sack

Good morning everyone,
Thanks so much for joining me.
I hope today finds you well.
It is a bit warmer here today in Cheshire and most of our snow has gone, although there is still so much all around us.
I have a busy day today as yesterday I struggled with a tummy bug.
I don’t know at the minute , it seemed one thing after another.
Hey ho, but I know it could be worse, so I’m not complaining.

Today I have a recent Aall & Create sample to share with you.

I had such fun creating this tag and it was my lovely friend Lisa who suggested making the sacks into Christmas ones.
So thanks matey.

I used a tag cut from Kraft card, stamped the border , and then just roughly stamped the sacks, (I only needed the outline )
I stamped the sacks on separate card , added some colour and cut them out.
Some twine and Christmas bells, just added that extra detail.

I had to add some fir cones and some white posca splats .

Here is a closer look

I do think these little finishing touches make all the difference.

Take care everyone.
Have a lovely day

Much love and hugs

Friday with Feathered Friends.

Good morning everyone.
Thanks so much for popping in today.
As always it is so lovely to have your company.

I have another busy day today, and I must admit I am getting a bit nervous .
You see I have the first of my online workshop tomorrow .
You may ask…First???
Oh yes this is the first time for a different time zone…
So Canada , be prepared.
I just hope my time calculations is correct and we all meet up at the same time..
Wish me luck.

Today I have another little you tube catch up video to share with you.

When I asked Bipasha BK for a Cockerel with attitude, this is exactly the sort of design that I was hoping for.
Thanks so much Bipasha.

Thoughtful Thursday.

Good morning everyone.
I hope today finds you well.
I am feeling so much better, but boy has it left me with tiredness and nausea.
You know I can’t believe just how unwell I was for the second time, and after both jabs too.
I also find when walking Eric my chest gets tight and oh these cold morning are a nightmare too.
I have to say though if it wasn’t for such wonderful family and friends I really would have given up
with all my crafting and just walked away.
I felt so lonely, and just not part of the crafty family.
The reason I am telling you this , is not for sympathy but so that you realise how important friends are.
After my first  dose it took my confidence, so much so, I even stopped visiting my family, and friends, making all sorts of excuses.
So if you have a family member or friend who gets the dreaded virus, please don’t treat it lightly, please be there for them , and
just let them know that they are loved.
Often the smallest kind act can make the biggest difference.

Together we can get through, and like a phoenix we will rise up.

Today I have a recent Aall and Create sample to share with you.
Now when we had to create these samples I was still feeling very unwell, but I didn’t want to let anyone down.
So I went with techniques that I love and colours that I often use.
I found that this way I didn’t have to think and stress too much.
I hope that makes sense.

You can see my favourite colours.

I started by adding some low tack tape, and then blending some ink.
This is an old technique but I have been using it a lot over the past few months, I do love to revive techniques and change them up a bit.
Normally I would add the tape across the card and add a sentiment.
So this time I thought we could go down the card and then add some ribbon, or twine.

I stamped this fabulous new stamp from Tracy Evans and added clear embossing powder.

I stamped it again, and added colour to the butterfly.

Next I added some water splats , and then removed the tape.
I love the clean lines and how the white card pops.

Next I added some twine.
Some matting and layering.

Followed by the decoupaged butterfly and some white posca splats.

Here is a closer look

Such warm colours.
I could have done with some warmth this morning.
I took this when Eric and I went for our morning walk..
Brrrr

It is a good job that the sheep have got their woolly jumpers on.

Thanks so much for popping in today..
Time for a cup of coffee now…
Oh yes a cheeky brew in my new mug
Look

Take care all

Much love and hugs

Farmyard Friends.

Hi everyone,
I hope your week has started well.
It was a very cold start here today when I walked Eric.

I said morning to the sheep and then the calves came to say hello

When we were walking back down the lane I heard a noise in the hedge.

If you look close you can see

One of the calves was trying to look through the hedge and say hello..
It really did make me smile.

The really funny thing is that today I have farmyard sample to share with you.

This one features new stamps for Aall & Create designed by Bipasha BK
Recently Bipasha asked if any of us had any ideas for new stamps.
I must admit that I asked her for highland cattle and a Rooster with attitude.
So thank you lovely lady.

I started by stamping in black ink and adding some ink and water…
I love the cow but I decided to make her a bit Christmassy and more like a highland cattle.

I did add some of my little fir cones too.
Oh and a couple of hanging baubles.

This image really makes me smile.
I hope it makes you smile too.

Have a lovely day
Thanks as always for joining me.

Much love and hugs

Let It Snow

Hi everyone,
Thanks for popping in this Friday .
I do hope that you have a lovely weekend planned.

I have lots of jobs to catch up with, but I am hoping to have time to rest a bit too.

Today I have a recent Aall & Create sample to share with you .
It is using the new stamps from Janet Klein.

They are featuring as a Weekend Wow on The Craft Store this weekend.

These characters are great to stamp out and add colour.
Also you can use coloured card.

Once I had stamped and coloured my images, I then created a background.

Then it was just adding the characters, and some finishing touches.
As always I used my chalk pastel pencils to add the shadows.

Here is a closer look

Just look at his face.
Oh that expression.

Do take care all.
Much love and hugs

Time for another Tag

Good afternoon everyone,
I hope your Wednesday is going well.
I am still making samples, so I was up early, walked Eric and I was crafting  before 8-30 this morning.
I must admit I am shattered now though.

Today I have another recent Lavinia sample to share with you

I couldn’t resist making a Christmas tag with our beautiful Rue.
You know how I have a bit of a thing for these white board tags.

I started by adding some distress oxide ink to the tag.

Next I added some stamping, I thought this beautiful Monarch colour went so well.

I added some more stamping with my £1 Holly stamp.

Next I added some sparkle using my Bronze Signo pen
This gives such a fabulous effect.

To frame my tag I added some more ink.
Then I got some embellishments out and had a good old play.

I just had to use some of my latest collection of fir cones.
As always my white posca pen was used to finish off the design.
It makes fabulous snow.
Here is a closer look.

I do hope you like it.

Thanks so much for joining me today.
I am off now to feed and walk Eric.

I hope you have a lovely evening ,
Please take care

Much love and hugs

Monday catch up

Good evening everyone,
Sorry that I am late catching up with you today, but
I have been busy all day making samples.
I hope you have had a good start to your week.

I thought I would just pop in for a quick catch up and share one of my recent Lavinia tv samples with you.

You know how much I love this technique, and how I am trying to convert you all into playing
with your Brusho powders more .

I used some Lavinia watercolour card as I find it is perfect for this technique.

For this design I just started off with some simple stamping.

Then added the foliage on the tree by spritzing with water and adding some Brusho powder.

I drew a simple landscape with a black fine liner pen and then just painted in some
Brusho and water mixture.

I used white my pastel pencil to add some highlights

Here is a closer look at the tree.

I do hope you like it.

Thanks so much.

Much love and hug,
Jo xxxx
