Basic Veggies

Good afternoon all,
 Me again,
I know,
2 days in a row.
Hope today finds you well.

Today I am sharing another recent Aall & Create sample with you
I must say I really enjoyed creating this.

It is my answer to my 5 a day !!!

I have used a couple of fabulous new stamp sets from Bipasha Bk
I started off by cutting my white card

Then the fun part of choosing which stamps to use, and which part of the stamp.

I stamped in black ink as I intended to keep this sample monochromatic
Next I stamped the backing card, obviously I just kept the stamping around the edges of the card

Next some matting and layering

Also I decided to add a pop of Red....
So out with Mr Posca pen

When the whole design was put together...
This is what I had

One of my favourite makes.
I hope you like it too.

It is amazing what you can create with one ink pad, 2 stamp sets and a Posca pen.

Take care everyone,
I will be back tomorrow with another catch up.
Another slow day here,

Love and hugs

Mr Pheasant

Good morning all,
Hope today has started well.
It was so cold walking Eric today, very blustery too.
Hope we get some nice sunshine like yesterday.
Oh it was so lovely to see a bit of blue sky and some sun.

Today I am going to share a recent Aall & Create sample with you.
It uses the new Pheasant stamp by our Tracy Evans

I must admit , I really enjoyed creating this...
And it is so quick too,

I just started off,
Stamping the pheasant in black Versafine Clair ink and then adding clear embossing powder.
Next came the fun bit

Out with my watercolour paints.
Just loose, painting, lots of water and dribbles.

Whilst that was drying, I stamped my background, using the same stamp.

I do love to do this.

After matting and layering it was decision time.
Leave like this
Or add more dribbles...
Me being me
I added more dribbles...
Look

And I think they just finish it off a treat.
Hope you do too.

I must love you and leave you now as I have some workshop prep to do.
To be honest I have a headache today too, so everything is just a bit slow...

Maybe a decaf tea will help

Thanks so much for popping in and for your friendship
and support

Take care all
Much love and hugs

Another little catch up on YouTube

Good morning all,
Hope you had a lovely weekend.
We had a really busy online  class on Saturday...
We went through lots of different techniques using inks and paints on the gel press.
So many backgrounds.
The good thing about these online classes is that they can be viewed at a later date too,
So the crafters can keep going back for reminders , and re watch as many times as they wish.

I have seen some of the backgrounds that some of the ladies created and wow,
They always impress me.
I am so proud

After the class I decided to make a little YouTube video,
With just one of the techniques,
I have then carried on stamping and created a finished piece using the background
I hope you like it.

Here is the link

I hope you enjoy it, and maybe craft along with me.
It is always such a treat to spend time with you.

Take care all
And for my lovely friends who need an extra hug today
Here they are
Just for you
Hugs

Bye for now

Delicate stencilling for a Friday

Good morning everyone,
Hope you are well today.
I’m afraid it has been a bad week here,
With so many of my friends loosing loved ones.
Two of our crafty group have lost their husbands, one a brother and one a Mum.
My thoughts are with each and everyone one,
We definitely need a big
Group hug.

I know it is such a hard time for so many people,
Let’s try and stay strong, and just keep going.

Today I have a lovely, gentle piece to share with you .

Here is a closer look

Pipin jumped in the design again.

If you would like to see how I created it, or maybe join in with me,
I have made a little YouTube video

You can find it here

https://youtu.be/g4upfOAcf8M

I must go now, need to get sorted for tomorrow’s workshop.

Have a lovely weekend all,

Much love and hugs

How long is a piece of string ?

Good afternoon all,
I do hope your week has started well.
Blue sky here at the moment, we have had some rain,
but it is definitely a little warmer today.

I am very busy today playing with some new
Aall & Create stamps ,
Oh you are going to love these.

Look out for shows on Hochanda at the end of this week.

So today I am just popping in
to share my latest YouTube video
This one is just a fun one,

The string and paint technique.

You can find it here

It is a great thing to do just for fun, and it gets more fun when you use thread and ink,
So many possibilities

Just look what you can then create by adding some chalk pencils .
I had such a wonderful time creating this.

Better get back to my sample making
I need to get them in the post tomorrow
More steps to the post office.

Take care everyone

Much love and hugs

Happy Valentines Day

Good morning everyone and
Happy Valentine’s Day .
I hope you have a lovely day,
Whatever you do.

I have a lovely little design to share with you.
Here is how I created it.

You know how much I love the ink on the stencil technique.
I thought this ivy stencil looked like little hearts.
There was still some ink left so I gave the stencil another spritz of water and took another print.

I decided to use the larger one...
Next came the stamping

Followed by some scene building , and the addition of some of the new glitter.

A black sharpie line, and some white posca splats.
So clean and simple,
Delicate, but with detail.

From me to you.
Take care all

Much love and hugs

That Friday feeling

Good afternoon everyone,
Here we are ,
We made it to Friday again.
I do hope your day is going well.
I am just getting ready for our workshop tomorrow.
It is going to be a messy one,
Paint, string and paper ,
What can go wrong !!! lol
It is certainly going to be fun..

I just wanted to give you the heads up about the new
Joanna Sheen box kit
It is on sale soon

It is packed with lots of goodies and inspiration.
Plus a project by little old me..

From a chocolate box lid

To a working clock...

It is amazing what us crafters can do.

Oh and look
This is what happens when you do the shaving foam technique with a 2 year old...

Take care everyone.
Have a lovely weekend,

Big hugs

Back to Basics

Good morning all
I hope today has started well.
Another cold day here, my poor bulbs..
I worry that they might just turn around and go back into the soil.

Today I have a little YouTube to share with you.
It is in answer to an email I received from a lovely lady who is new to crafting.
She was asking which inks were best to start off with .

So I thought I would create some cards just using a black versafine ink pad and 2 dye based inks.

It is nice sometimes to use minimal supplies,
and a great way to entice Mr MoJo back

Oh and have you noticed Jo is actually in MoJo...lol

You can find my little YouTube video
Here

I do hope you make a brew and join me.

Take care all

Much love and hugs

Warm hugs

Good morning everyone,
Hope you are having a decent Tuesday.
Mr Cough is playing up today, I think the cold air doesn’t help.
Hey ho
I know it could be worse.

Today I am sharing one of those cards that we really don’t want to make.
But unfortunately I seem to have made too many of them recently.

When I need a sympathy card my go to stamp set is the Magnolia one from Hobby Art

It is such a beautiful stamp too,

I just wanted some subtle colour, so I used my chalk pencils

They blend so beautifully

Just a few little splats of colour in the background to finish off the design

And a black sharpie line around the edge.

At the moment so many of my friends and family are in need of hugs,
So I am sending a big group hug on here

Take care everyone
Much love and hugs

Monday catch up

Good morning everyone,
I hope today finds you well, and
that you had a lovely weekend.

It was our online workshop on Saturday
and we made a start on Christmas cards.

I must admit our garden looked a bit like that this morning

Here is another design using the same products.

It was such a lovely workshop and I am just so blown away by the amazing cards that everyone created.

My voice and cough even behaved.
I must admit , night nurse has become my bedtime beverage,

Yesterday it was our little Jenson’s  2nd Birthday

Adam , Danielle and Elliot had a little party at home for him,
And as we are in their bubble (plus had negative Covid tests on Wednesday ) we got to see them for an hour
in the afternoon.

He loves painting already...

Right, I am off now,
Lunch time here.
Oh yes, warm soup again today

Take care everyone
Much love and hugs

Sunshine and flowers.

Good morning all,
Hope today finds you well.
I am struggling again with Mr Cough...
and he kept me awake most of the night..
So I definitely need an early coffee today.

A couple of our lovely craters have messaged me to say that Mr Mojo
has definitely gone on holiday...
How rude.

So I have created a little video ,
Just so we can craft along together and see if we can get him back.

I thought we would go for some simple but effective blending and stamping , but put
a bit of a twist on it with some white space..
A sort of half and half ‘sh card

Now you can alter the colours, add a sentiment, use different stamps,
Add the stencil in the background.
The great thing about this design is that it is a fun place to start. and get your creative juices flowing..

You can craft along with me here

I hope you enjoy it

Take care all

Love and hugs

Take joy from Life

Good morning ,
Welcome to Tuesday and welcome to our new follower.
I really get excited when I see we have a new member to our crafty family.
Socially distancing coffee at the moment I’m afraid.

I hope you are keeping well,
My throat is playing up again...grrr
So looks like Karl is in for some peace and quiet 🤫

Yesterday I managed to make another little video
It was in answer to an email about one of our Aall & Create stamps,

So I used it and came up with this design,

I have also used one of my new coffee stirrers,
Thanks so much Janet and Susan .

If you would like to see how I created this or you would like to craft along with me
The video is here

I hope you enjoy it .

Take care everyone

Much love and hugs

Snow Blizzard

Good morning all,
Pinch, punch, first of the month
February already,
At least we are moving closer to spring,
My bulbs are peeking through the soil,
So something to look forwards too.

Today we have a new Lavinia Challenge over on the website
Our new theme is
Snow Blizzard
Here is what I came up with, I hope you like it.

I tried to create the feeling of that cold, bitter wind along with the snow

I started by adding a little background colour onto my multifarious card,
Billy was happy as he came out to play

Next , I added some stamping , I used torn copier paper to mask off my snow.

So this is what I had when I removed the copier paper

Then more stamping and some atmospheric background ink , plus some oil pastel work ,
You know how much I love using charcoal pencils to add shade.
Well Karl bought me a pack of oil pastels to have a play with.
Oh I love them

Just look at that sky.

Followed by more detail , using a stencil

I love how this stencil looks like the wind, whipping up the snow into a blizzard

I then added some mica minerals to give the frosty look

Some stamping and white embossing powder to give more depth to the design

And finally the snow blizzard ,
White acrylic paint and a fan brush.

Some matting and layering and my design was finished.

I really enjoyed taking my time and creating this piece.

I hope you will have a play and create a piece of your own and enter it into the challenge.
Remember the winner will get a £40 Lavinia voucher, and it is chosen at random.

I am off now for a warm up and a hot coffee after all the snow and bitter cold wind.

Take care everyone
Love and hugs
