Happy Christmas....

Hi all, hope you are well and that you have had a good weekend....

I had workshops at C.J. CardCrafts in Edgeley, Stockport...and what a great day I had...it was so good to catch up with everyone. Glynis the shop owner is a crafter and card designer so she knows her stuff and is really helpful.....do pay her a visit....

Anyway back to Christmas....did you watch Barbara on C&C on Sunday? ....fantastic sell out shows ....and no wonder...the new stamps and stencils are just fantastic...

Well the ' Arty' one on the team.....Sam....decided that it would be a good idea for us each to post a Christmas card for the next five days.....( let us see if I can manage the challenge!!!)

So here is my card number one....and a Happy Christmas to you all...

This started its life as a piece of the black coated Clarity card and one of the window stencils....as you know ...I love ...love...love...Stencils..

Notice I only wanted the window part...

I used some Crafty Notions glue and some cut'n'dry foam...and dabbed the glue through the stencil.

This is what you get when you remove the stencil....a top tip.....the glue will stay tacky for ages....but please wash the stencil straight away....( if you did forget...nail varnish remover comes in useful )

I used large gold flakes for the centre...

Then Variagated Copper for the rest of the design...

Remember the tumble dryer sheet.....rub your hands before you start it stops the flakes sticking to you....

A good press down and then a rub using your sponge finger...how cool is this?

The flakes work really well with strips of the red liner tape too.

I made a background using the stencil. The brilliant brushes and Sail Boat Blue Adirondack ink.

It was almost a shame to cover this up...

Some matting and layering, stamping the sentiment and job done...

I really hope you like this....

Thanks for looking in today....see you tomorrow ...If I keep this up......

Have a good evening....

Much love from me...xxx
