Fabulous weekend

Hi everyone,

Yesterday I was teaching a Lavinia workshop for 

Gwen at The Stamp Pad…

Such a wonderful group of ladies.

Gwen is a fabulous host 

and Kath puts on the most amazing food…

Fabulous cheeky biscuit with my brew, yummy lunch and then amazing afternoon tea….

Thanks so much everyone who came , had fun, and I can’t wait to do it all again later in the year. 

The stamp pad is a fabulous craft shop…well worth a visit…and there are also lots of amazing gift ideas there too

I may have sneaked a few extra in my shopping basket , well I couldn’t resist

Last night it was feet up and a glass of bubbles.

This morning we took Eric for a walk around Shakerley Mere…

So lovely to see the goslings.

And we had coffee from our favourite people…Jay and Fi….

The bacon butties did smell yummy too…but we resisted the temptation 

I must go and unpack my bags now…

Then time to catch up with the ironing….

Monday and colourful Scout

Hi everyone, 

I do hope today is going well. 

I’m so sorry that I didn’t manage an extra catch up video on Friday.  

but Jenson was unwell and sent home from school in the morning. 

So extra grandma duties…

So much so that I was packing my bags ready for our Cumbria workshop at 10pm on Friday evening. 

The workshop was lovely though…and wonderful to see so many friends. 

Thanks Sheens for my mug…it is perfect..

I love  it. 

We camped on Saturday night so that we could spend Sunday morning with My Mum..

Always time for coffee and cake. 

Then back home in the afternoon.

Toady I have been unpacking bags, and trying to catch up in my craft room. 

You know what it is like 

Always washing to put in, ironing to do and meals to make…

All good fun.

Secret Garden

Hi everyone, 

Welcome to May.

It is a beautiful morning here in Holmes Chapel.

I am just back home after walking the boys to school…

They were both on lovely moods this morning…

Such good company. 

As it is a new month 

We have a new Lavinia Challenge 

Our theme for May is

Secret Garden 

and I can’t wait to see what you make…

Think outside the box 

All the unusual places  that a garden could be hidden 

Not just the obvious.

Here is some inspiration 

My Underwater Secret Garden 

I started with a gel press sample that I had demonstrated at the open day.

Simple ink and copier paper..

Next some stamping 

Some more stamping and then those all 

important finishing touches. 

Here is a closer look

Look how flat it is…but with pastel pencils we can 

create the illusion of 3D 

Glossy accents and highlights on those rays of light..

All finished off with a sentiment sticker 

See The Light

May Charity workshop

Hi everyone

As you know every year , I donate my May online fees to a Charity 

Close to My heart. 

This year is no exception…

A very special charity indeed 

Saturday 3rd May 

Charity online workshop 

£10

As you know every May , I donate all my online class fee to a deserving charity…

This year the Charity is …..   North East Cheshire society called  Glengarth.

    This  is a charity offering evening classes 2 nights a week. For adults with learning difficulties and or autism.

These are the night class Option

Photography, woodwork cookery, pottery music, sewing gardening or art and craft. Offering an opportunity for students to meet their friends and pursue their interests at their level with tutor support.  The opportunity has been running for around 50 years. We believe it is the only one of its kind in the country.

 Our wonderful friend Susan regularly attends these evening classes and loves them .

Many of you will have met Sue and her sister Janet at classes and demonstrations 

I am sure you will agree with me, that it is great to support a local charity…
