Good morning gang, thanks for popping in today.
I do hope that you had a lovely weekend.
We had a busy one as we had the boys on Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday.
I must say that I am getting very good with Hot Wheels Cars.
I noticed that Hobby Craft had a half price sale on art supplies so I bought Elliot his first tin of
watercolour paints.
So we had a play with them and wow, he painted such a beautiful scene.
On Saturday morning it was our Lavinia online workshop and what a wonderful time it was too.
The artwork that the ladies created is just amazing.
Today I am going to share another sample with you using one of the new release stamps from Lavinia.
When I get new stamps I try to use them in different ways, sometimes with lots of ink
and stamping around them and sometimes with minimal fuss.
Just to let the beauty of the stamp shine through.
So this is a very simple design and uses the acrylic block stamping technique,
Such an old technique but so effective and useful.
The Elements ink pads are so full of pigment they work really well for this.
Also the different sizes of blocks gives us so much versatility.
Look
I love this effect, and that white space.
So I simply added the Woodland sprite.
And then a sentiment and a few finishing tricks
I used Della Blue ink and masks to create the scene.
Remember you can add the black sharpie line to coloured matting and layering.
Here is a closer look at the sprite .
Such a stand alone stamp.
I am off now to wash the bird feeders and then fill them up again.
Then it will be coffee time.
Have a lovely day, whatever you are doing.
Much love and hugs
Jo xxxx
