Bella Amongst The Bluebells

Hi all, and thanks so much for popping in today.
I am so chuffed as we have another follower.
You know how excited I get when we get a new member to our family on here.
It is even more special at the moment as Blogs seem to have gone out of fashion.
But don’t worry,
I’m not stopping doing mine,
I just love coming on here and sharing some special time with you all.

Today I have another little catch up video to share with you.

This is just an extra little chat, for those of you who need that little bit more inspiration.
I have used a couple of the new stamps too.

These type of cards are so difficult to photograph.
Here is a closer look to try and show you the sparkle.

Here is the ‘clean my stencil’ piece.

You can find the video here

So grab you brew and cheeky biscuit and let’s spend 20 minutes together.

Have a lovely weekend all.

Much love and hugs

Tuesday tutorial

Good morning crafty friends.
I do hope you are keeping well.
Today I have an Aall & Create sample to share with you.
I had such fun creating the designs with these wonderful Janet Klein stamps.

As soon as I saw the washing line stamp , I just had this design in mind.
I have a thing about washing lines.
I seem to have used this stamp so much recently.

I started off by doing my stamping.
Remember you can curve these stamps.
Don’t worry about the washing line, you can easy add to it with your black fine liner pen.

Next I added some scenery, and then some detail using the beautiful stencil.

I added some colour with my Clean Color pens.
These give such a vibrant look to the design.

As always I added some shadows and highlights.
Here is a closer look

The sentiment just finished off the whole design.
It was so fabulous to see Leonie demonstrating a similar design on The Craft Store and using this as her inspiration.
Honestly , when I saw her, I was so chuffed.

Here is another sample using the washing line . Honestly
this is such fun , and what a great way to get your washing dry.

Have a great day all.
Much love and hugs

Monday Morning

Good morning gang, thanks for popping in today.
I do hope that you had a lovely weekend.
We had a busy one as we had the boys on Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday.
I must say that I am getting very good with Hot Wheels Cars.
I noticed that Hobby Craft had a half price sale on art supplies so I bought Elliot his first tin of
watercolour paints.
So we had a play with them and wow, he painted such a beautiful scene.
On Saturday morning it was our Lavinia online workshop and what a wonderful time it was too.
The artwork that the ladies created is just amazing.

Today I am going to share another sample with you using one of the new release stamps  from Lavinia.

When I get new stamps I try to use them in different ways, sometimes with lots of ink
and stamping around them and sometimes with minimal fuss.
Just to let the beauty of the stamp shine through.

So this is a very simple design and uses the acrylic block stamping technique,
Such an old technique but so effective and useful.
The Elements ink pads are so full of pigment they work really well for this.

Also the different sizes of blocks gives us so much versatility.
Look
I love this effect, and that white space.

So I simply added the Woodland sprite.

And then a sentiment and a few finishing tricks
I used Della Blue ink and masks to create the scene.

Remember you can add the black sharpie line to coloured matting and layering.

Here is a closer look at the sprite .

Such a stand alone stamp.

I am off now to wash the bird feeders and then fill them up again.
Then it will be coffee time.

Have a lovely day, whatever you are doing.

Much love and hugs

Millie and Munch

Good morning everyone,
I hope you are feeling well this Friday morning .
Welcome to another new follower, honestly I can’t believe it.
I am so chuffed to have you on board.

Today I have another Lavinia sample to share with you.

This features to adorable new characters,
Millie and Munch.

I started with a piece of mop up card.
I spy some favourite colours in this one.
It is important to actually use these, and not just let them pile up.
( note to self lol 😂)

I stamped the beautiful new Bell flower vine in the corner.

Next I added my 2 characters , some land and the moon.

It is amazing how quickly this type of artwork builds up.
I blended some ink around the card to create the frame .
I also added the highlights and shadows.

Some Lavender in the foreground just added some balance to the whole piece.
The finishing touches of gel pen, chalk pastel pencils and posca pens just complete the whole look of the
design.
Here is a closer look

I do hope that you like it.

Thanks for popping in today.

Have a lovely weekend.
We have a Lavinia on line workshop tomorrow.

I am really looking forwards to spending so creative time with friends.

Take care all
Love and hugs

Meet Heidi

Good morning all from a very cold and icy Cheshire.
It took me quite a while to defrost my car this morning .
I am home now and have a nice warm brew.
I have just been out to feed the garden birds and defrost their water.

Today I have another sample to share with you.
Can you tell that I adore these new stamps ?

Meet Heidi

Here is how I created this .
I started by stamping Heidi using black ink.

Next I added my circle acetate mask and added some shade.
Gently building up the colour.

I made a mask for Heidi from a post it note to protect her .
Then I stamped Fantasea, added some colour followed by highlights and shade.

You know how I love to create the illusion of 3D.
There is a wonderful little button stamp. So I stamped this, added some colour, cut it out and yes
I even threaded it.

Then I added it to my design along with some ink splats.

Here is a closer look

I hope you have a lovely day.
One more sleep and these fabulous new stamps will be on the website.

Take care all
Much love and hugs

It Is A Good Drying Day

Good morning all,
Thanks so much for popping in.
Today I have another sample to share with you using stamps from  the new release.
Not long now.
Only 2 sleeps.

As soon as I saw the new Moulted wings I could just picture them hanging out to dry.
So I set about trying to create what was in my mind.

This is what I did.

I started by stamping the new English Bluebell stamps.
I thought these would make great end posts for my washing line.

Next I added the washing line with a fine liner pen…oh and not so steady hand.
I stamped the wings.

Then I added the landscape and sky…
I was looking for a moody sky.
We have had the most amazing skies recently.
This was yesterday morning whilst I was walking Eric.
I really do get so much inspiration from nature.

To build up the scene I added some more bluebells.

Followed by some ink blending and water splats to frame the design.

The  wings needed some colour so I painted them using ink and mica minerals with water.

I also added some splats of this to give a shimmery, magical feel to the design.

For the finishing touches I used gel pens and chalk pastel pencils.
Plus some Orchard grass along the front, just to add some detail in the foreground.
Then finally I added a touch of the Bell Flower Vine stamp along the top of the design.
All these finishing touches help to complete the whole look of the piece.

This is just what I had imagined,
and I thoroughly enjoyed creating it.

These new stamps have so many possibilities.
Just let you imagination flow.

Take care all
Much love and hugs

The Woodland Sprite Grows Her Wings

Good morning all,
Welcome to Monday and another week.
I do hope it has started well.
We must also welcome another new follower to our family on here.
I am so chuffed to have you join us.

Today I am sharing another sample with you using some of the new release Lavinia stamps.
These will be released this Friday.

For this design I wanted to use the new Woodland Sprite stamp as my focal point,
So I decided to do some along the edge stencil work first.

I used the Glory stencil and a couple of Elements ink pads.
I do love this effect.
I stamped the woodland Sprite stamp using  black Versafine Clair ink.

I also stamped the large moulted wings and added some colour using my  Inktense pencils and water.
I added the cute little small frog too, and coloured his wings to match.

I added some ink splats and then used my chalk pastel pencils to add some highlights and shade.
I also added some ink splats onto my backing card.
For the finishing details I used charcoal pencils and gel pens.
Here is a closer look

These wings are going to be so useful, they hold so many possibilities.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your day,
See you all again tomorrow , when I have another catch up YouTube for you.

Much love and hugs
