Dad

Good afternoon all,
Thanks for popping in today .
How are things going?
Are you glad it is Friday?
I have our Groovi workshop to look forwards to tomorrow..
And we have a new lady joining us...
I promise that I will be gentle.!!!!
Today , I am sharing a Birthday  card with you...
I made it for my lovely father in law...
We share the same birthday...
In fact I was born on his 21st Birthday

I wanted to do something a bit different , and I had seen Eileen Godwin
make something similar...(thanks Eileen for the inspiration )

I started with a piece of stencil card and a moon mask

I then created some sky

Followed by some land .

Then came the Lavinia horses...
Karl’s Dad loves horses , and has a couple of them .

I added a couple of trees and some gentle landscape
Next came the die cutting .

First of all I cut out the letters in black card.
This gave me the spacing, plus the letters to go below my stamped letters...
Hopefully , all will become apparent..
I must say , this is just my take on this,
I’m not sure if it is how other Crafters make this type of card.

This is the set of alphabet letter dies that I used.

Next , I proceeded to die cut the letters out of my stamped design...
I matted and layered the stamped card onto some black card.
And then I added the black letters into the spaces...look.

This then gave me a base to add the stamped letters on to , so that they are raised up.

All that was left , was just the Happy Birthday sentiment from Clarity.

I was really pleased with the way it worked out...
I think , I will be doing this sort of card again...
Lots of possibilities..

So , I will love you and leave you ,

Have a great weekend
Much love and hugs
