Good morning everyone, and happy Friday to all.
It has been another busy week with craft jobs, housework and yesterday we went to pick Mikey and Fran up as they have come here for a week so that Mummy Rice can look after them. Fran has been unwell and in hospital so I am on duty to administer tlc..
On Monday Elliot came round for his first Sleep over ...oh it was wonderful and he was so good...I think I spent nearly every minute cuddling him..
Back to today...it is a new Fussy and Fancy Challenge
Our host is the lovely Jules
And she has chosen Shabby Chic for her theme,,,,
And here is what I came up with...
And here is how it developed...
It really was a case of using what I had on my desk...you see this fabulous Clarity butterfly is one of our class stamps for tomorrow's Clarity Anglesey workshop.
I started with a piece of Kraft card and gave it some torn edges.
I added some Lace , embellishments and flowers .
And then placed it into my spray booth,,,and out with the spray Gesso...this is a great product...I love it
On a separate piece of Kraft card that had already had gesso added , I stamped the butterfly and cut it out.
Then added some ink using distress Oxide / Worn Lipstick
I stamped the best wishes from the Happy Birthday ribbon set, added a border , cut it out and added some colour .
I chose a lovely piece of backing paper from Graphic 45, the Botanical tea collection / Hello Friend...and distressed the edges, then some matting and layering .
Some glossy Accents for extra detail and to finish off a final touch...a metal heart that says ' Made with Love '
And it was.
And there we have it,my take on shabby chic..
I would love you to check out the other samples by the design team here http://fussyandfancychallenge.blogspot.co.uk/ and even better why not enter the challenge , you could be the one chosen for the next guest dt spot...
Now I had better get a move on, we are packing the van up and heading off to Anglesey...the dogs are so excited , they love the new van...
Let's hope the weather is kind to us...
Take care all
Have a great weekend,
Love and hugs
