Good afternoon all, and thanks for popping in.
Yesterday I spent the day playing with stamps, inks and paints making samples for our Paul who is on Hochanda on Sunday. I got them posted first thing and that was another job ticked off the list. The next thing was the dentist, just for a check up, but when I got near the road that the building is on was closed so I had to park miles away and walk. Good job I had left in plenty of time, although it would have been better if it hadn't been raining. No treatment needed so next job was dropping off samples at the publishers. Off I went, more roadworks, and just as I was travelling through the roadworks there was a loud bang and yes, my tyre had burst ....the steering went and it took me all my time to avoid the cones and get to a near by pub car park..I really didn't want to leave my car in the middle of the roadworks,,,,, .thank goodness that Karl was local today and could come and put my spare tyre on...( and no we didn't use the one around my middle!!!!!)
I can tell you though it was quite an experience....and not one that I want to repeat anytime soon...
I did manage to get to the publishers, and a hug from Chris really helped my day.
So today I thought I would share a mini card with you...this is one of the 5x5 cards that I made to go in the Christmas box ....
This is the top of the box.
I do think that there is something lovely about these little treasures...also you get to use all those lovely little stamps that can so easily get overlooked....there speaks a little person!!! lol..
I do love the two new Christmas stamp sets from Jayne Nestorenko...the Pointsettia and the Holly and the Ivy...
I started with a piece of stencil card ( my go to card of choice ) and used black Archival ink.
And yes, my go to stamping technique...
Next I added some fir cones and then coloured them
There, that looks better. It just needs some flowers adding.
So I stamped the pointsettia border onto some spare card,
Added some colour and then cut them out.
Attached them plus a bow...and finally edged the card with a metallic Sharpie pen....
Quite cute really, and these little cards are a great way of using offcuts of card up...
For those of you who like die cutting , have you seen the latest edition of Die -Cutting Essentials..
I have a piece on fun children's cards using the Brother SanNCut and Clarity stamps...here is one of them
They really were fun to make and it was great to use such bold colours.
Right, I had better get on , it is our Workshops in Hazel Grove tomorrow , a day that I always look forward too...need to get things sorted...
Take care all,
Much love and hugs.

Oh you sound like you've had an eventful day!
ReplyDeleteI hate driving round us at the moment! Everywhere you go it's roadworks! Just hope they don't put our council tax up loads to pay for all these so called improvements!
Great little card... That set is fab for that! X
Never a dull moment in your hectic life. Good job you had a man that can, on hand. Lovely little projects.
