First Christmas Card...

Good morning all, oh my goodness this week is whizzing so fast....a little bit like the products on the Clarity show on Sunday....wow....what a show....

Today I thought I would share one of my samples with you it uses the wonderful new Christmas stamps....

The Wee Folk and The Word Chains....and yes these are another must have.....

The background was made the week before when I was getting ready for the workshops using the Spectrum Aqua Markers...we used the pens to create cards using watercolour painting techniques....

Using the craft mat as a painting palate...

This is then spritzed with water and mopped up....

You can add Perfect Pearls to the mat along with the water......now this does give a lovely effect...Look at the shimmer....

I have quite a stash of these backgrounds now....ready for that ' quick card'

Just decide on an area, trim to size and stamp up....using Archival ink...some second generation stamping ....

Some matting and layering and card made....

It is always good creating backgrounds from mopping up....it is like getting it for free.....

And we all like that...

Must get on....Karl has been in London and is home tonight....and I still have lots to do.....

Enjoy your day...

Love and hugs...

Jo. xxxx

  1. Ooh this is lovely. I love your background techniques. I was given a very lovely gift from a very lovely lady, of a set of these aqua markers..... I have not used them yet... But you have certainly inspired me to do so. I think I need a bit of inkyness. Thank you for sharing your lovely work. Hugs to you and Karl. Xxxxxx

  9. Lovely card Jo. I need to be braver with the pile of backgrounds I have as I worry that I'll spoil them with my stamping or design. These new stamps are so tempting but will have to wait until I am back at work and have an income. Love Jeanette xx
