Good afternoon lovely followers , hope you are having a nice Sunday...
We took Tess and Eric for a long walk this morning and it was great to see the herons flying around the fields...we are so lucky to have them nest in a couple of tall tress where we walk the dogs...
Yesterday was workshop day at C.J. CardCrafts in Edgeley, Stockport...and we had a real playday....making lots of backgrounds in the morning...then after a splendid lunch ...Thanks Glynis .....we made our cards in the afternoon....five projects in all...( I did have to crack the whip!!!!)
For our first one we used old Nail Polish to create a fabulous background...
The butterfly stamps are from Clarity...
And here are the ladies projects...
Next we had a play with AquaTint Paints from Crafters Companion...oh they are fantastic...and such vibrant colours...there are six sets in all but we just used the paints from one set...Bright and Beautiful so that we could see how versatile they are..
Our first background was to use watercolour card, add a wash and then some rock salt....leave it to dry and then rub the salt away...this gives a great textured background...
Here are the workshop pieces..
Next watercolour card again, a wash of paint then scrunched up cling film....once again left to dry then decorated with Clarity Stamps..
As you know I do love bubbles...
The AquaTints can be used to create a quick background , you can then stamp using a permanent ink and you can faux bleach using water...
These cards are just fabulous ladies...
The paints can also just be used as watercolour paints...I do love these stamps...
More fabulous work ladies....I am so proud of you all...
And I have been waiting to use these stamps for ages...
It was a great day and as always Susan you were a star......and Tracie we did miss you ...but it was good to see you even though it was briefly....
Thanks for looking in today....I hope next week is kind to is all....
I have a busy week ahead , workshops on Wednesday, some commissioned cards to make, and some samples to make for Barbara...
Take care, and see you soon.
Love and hugs,
Jo. xxxxx
