Bird row wreath...

Good afternoon all and thanks for looking in today...

First of all I would like to thank everyone for the lovely comments on my last post...it is so good to know that I am not talking to myself!!!! Well not all the time.....lol...

Today I am going to share with you a paper wreath that I made for the last Clarity tv show....

Those of you who are regular readers will know that I love to make wreaths....either decoupage or repetitive stamping...

I started by stamping the bird row stamp onto a piece of gelli card , and twice more onto old book paper...

It is very on trend to use pages of old books in our craft projects...you see they can't be recycled because of the glue that is used to bind them....so as crafters we are doing our own recycling...

Next came the flowers, these clever stamps have the outline...

And then the solid image ...to add colour...

I made a whole page of flowers...

Then it was coffee time and cutting out....

I do love the bright colours....the twirls were made with old book pages too.

I do love these little birds...

Some pinflair glue and job done...

I really enjoyed making this.....hope you like it too....

I was very lucky on Sunday and got these flowers from our boys...

The colours reminded me of the flowers in the wreath...

Mikey even made a surprise visit home when he finished work early....the main plus for the day was that Adam seems to finally be on the mend....

Good Health really is so important...

I am so pleased that Donna is feeling better and Jeanette has had her operation and is hopefully leaving hospital today....

Enjoy your evening and pop back soon,

Love and Hugs...

Jo. xxx

  1. I really like your colours it makes it feel spring is really coming especially as it's been a super day here in the SW. I did enjoy your nail polish blog it's so different . Must have a go but today it was too good to miss out going in the garden so perhaps tomorrow.

  8. Lovely. Yep quite a lot of cutting out. My fingers get all ridgy and stiff if I do more than a few at a time. Interesting to know that the books can't be recycled. I just can't bring myself to cut into them for some reason. Gonna have to get over it me thinks.

  10. This is beautiful, all that cutting certainly adds to the great layered look. I have these birds on my wish list as I really like birds in crafting at the moment and those flowers with the outline and the solid shape save so much time! Think I'm finally on the up side of my virus, just need sooooo much sleep. Thanks for your well wishes Jo XX
