Good morning and welcome to September....and a new Challenge over at the Clarity Challenge Blog...
Oh we had some fantastic entries last month and it was so hard to choose a top 5....well done to all those who entered, the Top 5 and off course the winner ...who gets a £50 Clarity voucher...
The new theme is..........Nature........
Here is what I came up with, it uses the fab technique introduced to us all by Maria......the Make your own Ink pad technique...
I started by choosing my stamp...this lovely Topiary Tree was in my box and desperate to be used....so I stamped it onto the cut & dry felt using Archival ink...
Then added my colours of Distress stains....trying to think of light and dark areas..
I stamped this lovely little frog onto the corner of a piece of Gelli card...( how cute is this little chap..)
Next came a home made mask for him and then the arch aperture stencil plus the sunset stencil.
I do love to combine the stencils....some Butterscotch ink...
And then some shade around the arch...with Spiced Marmalade D.I.
Back to our Topiary Tree stamp and custom made ink pad.
Oh yes ....I do love the way these turn out.
Don't forget you can use other stamps with the ink pad too...
Next I added some colour to our little frog with Spectrum Noir pencils
There...that's better
And a little dragonfly from the Remountable bugs set...I do use these stamps so much...
I do hope you like it.
Have you tried this technique yet? It really is fabulous and quite addictive....oh Maria ...you have a lot to answer for!!! lol...x
You can find all the stamps used , the cut&dry felt and Distress ink re-inkers on the clarity web site....
I do love to see all the entries....so go on have a go...you don't have to enter via a blog, you can email or even good old fashioned post your card off to Clarity and lovely Janice at the office will enter it for you...
As always the rest of the Challenge Design Team have come up with fabulous ideas....you can check them here...http://claritystampchallenge.blogspot.co.uk
A couple of dates for your diary....September 13th and 14th is Catterick.....
....September 27th Clarity Cumbria..
I am off now to get ready for workshops on Wednesday...have a good day....and remember to smile....it really does make the world a happier place...
Much love
Jo. X
Great card Jo. I love the little frog at the from. He looks very interested in that plant, or maybe it's the dragonfly. x.
