Good evening, what a lovely day it has been, it is so good to see some sun.
Karl and me have just walked Tess and in one of the farmers fields was a horse and foal, she was only born on Monday morning....it is so good to see new life don't you think?
Today I have been working on a technique which is new to me. It is bleach blocking and Hels Sheridan has written a brilliant article on it in this months Craft Stamper Magazine....( do check it out )
Here is my take on the technique...I do hope that you like it...
I started with distress inks and a piece of card.. Just random, then gentle blending.
Next I took a clean foam pad ....spritzed some water onto my mat and wet the pad.
Then I began stamping onto the card...holding the pad for about 10seconds each time...( remember to dab the pad on kitchen roll after each stamp to remove any colour)
Then a quick dry with the heat gun.
What a great way to build up a background...
I do love the Clarity word chain stamps...here I used the word Inspire...
I love to add these borders too.
The next stage was to distress the edges of the card...
On a separate piece of card I stamped this lovely Clarity butterfly, then cut it out and added a little colour.
Some matting and layering, then I added some Sweet Lilac Flowers....the large white one was stamped before I used it..
Just the butterfly to add ,
And my card was complete...
Here is a closer look.
I really enjoyed making this and would like to enter it into the Craft Stamper ....Take it Make it Challenge...
Thank you for visiting today....and do pop back soon....
