Oh that 'C' word....well that is the new theme over at the Clarity Stamp Challenge Blog....
It's the first of the month, so it is new month , new Challenge...and wow you must see what the rest of the DT have come up with....there really are some jaw dropping projects...
Here is my project....a Clarity Advent Calendar
And some close ups...
Behind some doors.
And some more,
And then no...24...
Well I have to tell you ...I had this idea one night when I was having trouble sleeping....it seemed really clear at 3am.....oh and quick.......
Well I can tell you it took me a whole day to make....lol...but I did enjoy it and was really pleased with the result...
I started with an A4 sheet of Theuvra card and measured the doors....oh that bit really did tax my brain...a mathematician I'm not.....
I then stamped the design and cut the doors using my craft knife and ruler...top tip....if you don't get the edges quite right you can use your nail file to make them smooth....
I then stamped the numbers with the Letter box kit and did a bit of doodling lines around the doors...
Then I took small pieces of card and stamped my designs....I used many different Christmas stamps, even used some shrink plastic...
I then took another piece of A4 card and placed it behind my open doors....using glue gel to give me 'slide' time, I glued an image behind each door...
A drop of PVA pearlescent glue gives each door a handle and a small piece of card gives it a latch...
This is a perfect Advent Calendar for someone on a diet....no chocolate.....
I really enjoy entering challenges and think it is a great way to see other crafters work and get inspiration....
Remember the winner gets £50 voucher to spend with Clarity, how cool is that!!!
