Today, I am going to share a decorated MDF heart with you and talk you through how I made it...Linda this is specially for you....
This is the finished piece....I do hope you like it...
All the products are from IndigoBlu and can be bought on line or at local craft shops (there is a list of suppliers on the IndigoBlu web site).
First of all I primed the MDF with the black Gee So Good, this is such good quality that there was no need for me to apply Acrylic paint over the top. I then left this to dry..
Next, I tore some old book paper and use Slap It On to attach it to the hearts.
Left this to dry.
The Kroma Crackle is a clear gel, so I mixed some Acrylic paint with it to colour it....I used two different colours.
I poured this onto the hearts and swirled the different colours until I got the required effect.
Once this is dry, I painted it with Slap It On. This acts as a glaze and stops the Kroma from continuing to crack.
I then used the Vintage Flourish stamp, FlitterGlu and Autumn Blaze flakes.
I attached the small heart on top of the larger one, added some embellishments and some flowers...These were made by simply tearing a circle in card...Then tearing a spiral....rolling the paper towards the centre....and manipulating the edges to make petals...
I used a gold Acrylic Paint dauber to add colour around the edge....
I really enjoyed making this and the hearts do make lovely presents....
Thank you for looking in today, I am off now to write my post for the IndigoBlu blog as tomorrow is my day to blog....also, I have some samples to get in the post for Jenny at Hobby Art as she has some fabulous new stamps that have just been released....do pop back to see more....
Have a good week...Hugs, Jo. X
