Believe...

Good afternoon all and what a beautiful sunny day...

Today I have ticked lots of jobs off the craft to do list and even had time to enter one of my favourite challenged ...the Less Is More Blog Challenge...

This week we have a theme...

http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/week-230-sketch.html

And it is a Sketch...And here is what I came up with.

Here is the sketch.

I started by masking my piece of card using low tack masking tape.

Then I added some colour using Distress Ink and a mini blending tool.

When the tape was removed I stamped my design using some of my favourite Clarity Stamps.

And

Using water I faux bleached some of the feather ....I do think it makes such a difference...oh and I just had to add the fairy.....she does look at home sat there...

I wonder....Do you believe in Fairies?

I do love to enter this and to challenge my crafty MoJo...and most of all I am so pleased that many of you lovely followers have now entered it too...

Also I would just like to thank all those lovely ladies who sent good wishes to Adam...he is on the mend slowly, but not able to go back to work yet....

I had better go and water my tubs and hanging baskets...I think they may just appreciate a drink...

Have a lovely evening...

Love and hugs...

Goosey, Goosey, Gander...

Good evening all, and thanks for sharing a few moments with me this evening...and welcome to another new follower....I am thrilled that you are sharing this journey with me...( and 200 others....yah...)

Yesterday it was Clarity Cumbria...and as always it was great to spend the day with friends and family...

We had extra Italian treats made by Debbie and Flapjack from Sheila's kitchen...plus some special gluten free Chocolate Fudge cake...mmmmm thanks Freda...

Enough about the food...we do craft as well as eat...honestly..

We used the wonderful new Geese stamps from Clarity...and our first card was my take on Watercolour painting using the Spectrum Aqua Markers...

Such a lovely way to create a background....and we used Linen card...it gives a great texture...

The cards that the ladies made are brilliant , I am so proud of them.....At this point I must mention Maria who was too ill to come,,,so I am hoping that as you read this Maria you are feeling much better.....hugs...

We mopped up our ink palates and made backgrounds for our next card....I went for Canadian geese for this one...

And look what the ladies made...

We did have to have a good old Clarity card...sorry but they are my favourite ...

The ladies loved this one too...

Then the new shaped aperture stencils came out to play..(Notice that bobble border again....)

And play we did...

I really love the way that every card is different , and as crafters we can share ideas and inspire each other...

Even the drive home was lovely as the sun was shining....

Today has been cloudy here in more than one way...poor Adam has been in hospital all day...he fell yesterday and has really injured his face...he is home now....but can only drink through a straw....and would you believe that yes I had a full packet of straws in my craft stash...

Good old craft stash...

I will leave you in peace now...

Much love and hugs from me....

Fingers crossed for a peaceful evening...

Colourful Cockerel...

Good evening, I do hope Friday finds you well...we have had rain today...but at least it is still warm.

I have had another very busy week, and felt some what tired and had one of those what can go wrong ...will go wrong weeks....and that is where good friends always come in....so thanks to my special friend for her kind and wise words this morning...

I have just finished loading my car ready for Clarity Cumbria tomorrow , a day of crafting with friends and eating cake will be just the job..

Before I go and walk the dogs I just want to share a card with you using one of the new stamp sets....the Cockeral and hen set...

I started with a piece of Gelli card and stamped this wonderful prancing cockerel.

Next I created the resist in the background using the Matrix feather stamp, VersaMark ink , white embossing powder and one of the new aperture stencils.

Then out with the heat tool and this is what I had...

I placed the stencil back in position and began to add colour using Distress inks, first the top colour.

Note the kitchen towel, helps to stop finger marks....

Next the bottom colour,

I do like to add the middle colour last...I find the colours blend easier this way..

The embossing resists the ink, and a quick wipe with a piece of Kitchen towel keeps it lovely and white...

After taking the stencil away , I added a border using a black fine liner pen.

Using Spectrum Noir pencils , I added colour to the Cockeral now I do know that these are not standard colours but this is a fairytale bird....

Plus some depth using my charcoal pencils...Now that's better....

He does look so proud....

I do hope you like him....I had better get a move on...

Thanks for looking in today,

Enjoy your weekend...

Love and Hugs...

Stencils.

Good evening...and welcome to our new follower...I am so chuffed when we get another lovely follower...I do hope you enjoy this crafty journey....

I am late on parade today....it has just been one of those days...here I am 10pm and still crafting....both Tess and Eric have gone to bed...and Tess is snoring away... Karl is away with work tonight...so sh sh don't tell him I am working late...please..

Anyway back to toady one thing that I did manage to do was to make my entry to this weeks Less Is More Challenge...

http://simplylessismoore.blogspot.co.uk

It is theme week.....and the theme is ....Stencilling....

Oh now you know I do love my Clarity Stencils...

So here is what I came up with....

I started with a piece of Gelli card and one of the new shape aperture stencils.

I do like to use more than one stencil at a time....so on with the Trellis Stencil.

Next I used three colours of Distress ink and blended them using the mini blending tool...

When the trellis was removed this is what I had..

And when the aperture was removed....I do love to see the reveal..

Now in my head , ( not always the best place to be!!!) this just needed something jumping over it...

So out with the Clarity Hare stamp and black Archival ink...

And a word from the word chains..

We all have dreams, don't we ?

Some doodling with a black fine liner and job done..

I do hope that you approve...

Remember to check out the Less Is More blog...

Yesterday it was our first Clarity Workshop in Glasgow...and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it....

Here are the lovely ladies ' hard at work '

I was thrilled that Sharon and Norma flew over from Northern Ireland to join us...

Our first card used some book pages....now I have to say that once again Ben Elton got everyone laughing....and some people blushing!!!!!

Look at the fantastic work that the ladies made...

And

Our next design used more stencils ....and Mr Owl...( with the bobble border )

I do love the way everyone puts their own twist on the design...

And

Stencils are great for quick cards too.

It was so good to catch up with my lovely friend Denise, and to see her looking so well...I am not going to name check everyone because I would hate to miss someone out....but I do have two special ladies to thank...Eileen and Emma..

Oh and Karl...now I couldn't have done it without him...( and thanks for booking this lovely hotel )

Texture.

Good afternoon ..well I say good it is a hectic day here today ...you know the ones with lots of jobs still on the list at 7pm....grrrrrr

So I am here to tick one of them off my list....

And that is to enter this months Take It , Make It Challenge over at the Craft Stamper Blog.

http://craftstamper.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/take-it-make-it-challenge-june.html

The theme is .......Add some Texture..........

Here is what I have created...

I have used a couple of the canvases from Clarity....I began by covering the 8 inch square one with black Gesso.

Next I added some colour using the Fresco Paints...

Then I used this wonderful Sprig Stencil again from Clarity and some Grunge Paste.

I left it to dry overnight....

Then I added some colour using Adirondack ink and a stencil brush..

This is what it looked like after some silver gilding wax was added.

I thought the branch looked a bit bare so I stamped these lovely little birds from the Bird Row stamp set..

Added some colour using Spectrum Noir Pencils and cut them out.

Then attached them to the canvas, and then onto a larger canvas.

Some bakers twine and some background stamping....using paint and the end of a pencil, just finished the design.

I do hope that you like it...

Thank you for looking in....and as always I really appreciate any feed back and comments.

Enjoy your evening...

Hugs.
