Good evening all, how is your week going? I am frantically trying to catch up with jobs on my craft to do list....I have spent the last two days making samples for the Clarity show on Sunday.....how Barbara comes up with more gorgeous stamps and stencils I will never know...

Today I received the latest edition of Creative Cardmaking....have you got yours?

Here is one of the cards that I had featured....

I used an embossing folder on the Gelli Plate plus, stamps from Claritystamp.

If you would like to know more ....there are full instructions in the magazine...

Have a good evening and call back soon.

What a weekend...

Good evening all, I do hope that you have had a good weekend and enjoyed this lovely weather.

I had a fantastic time last week at the Clarity retreat ...

Can you spot me...? right at the back and yes I am stood on my chair...

It was great to see so many friends and to make new ones...

I am sorry that I can't share any projects with you yet, but I don't want to spoil it for the next lot of crafters.

What I can say is that all 8 were absolutely fantastic and I loved them all.....even when Billy came out of his box....lol....

It was Jaynes Birthday .....and here she is with her flowers and card...

I did manage whilst in Kent to do some shopping...o.k. I didn't actually go to the Antique Fair myself but my trusty personel shopper Susan got this for me.......

A new jar for my brushes...and it has my name on it....

When I got home, Adam had bought this for me...

Look at all that chocolate...yummy....do you think he missed me?

Speaking of being missed, Tess went mad when I got home....today we have been in the garden....and she found my ball of string......oh what fun she had...

Look how dry the lawn is...we have large cracks in it....I had to fill the pond up today....the poor frogs were walking instead of swimming...

I will leave you with this wonderful photo taken at the hotel...

Such a fantastic group of crafters....I love you all....

Off to catch up with Karl......

See you soon

Much love

All About The Sentiment

Good morning all and welcome to a new Challenge over at the Fussy and Fancy Challenge Blog..

The new Theme is words......it is All About The Sentiment and is hosted by my lovely friend Annie....and sponsored by Marianne Designs...

Here is what I came up with.

I do love this sentiment by Claritystamps.

I started by stamping the floral crook stamp from Clarity ...

Then using my eBosser and the Die from Marianne Dies LR0279, I cut out the shape....

Added some colour with my Clarity Stencil brush,

sail Boat Blue, this is what I got...

Also did you notice a Clarity Stencil made an appearance too..

Now to the Gelli card....a sun mask , and some background...

Next texture was added using the script stamp from the Journalling stamp set...

The sentiment...

Some colouring with the fantastic Spectrum Noir pencils....oh and the swallow from the Journalling set too...he just had to be stamped and coloured in.

Then I added colour to the sun, some ribbon and assembled the card....

I do hope that you like it....and that you feel inspired to enter our challenge....we would love you too...

I am really hoping that this post has appeared on Friday morning as I am writing it on Tuesday morning before going down to the Clarity Retreat for two days...

So hoping that it is Friday....have a good weekend ....

Much love and hugs

In the Pink....

Good evening all, and thank you for taking the time to pop in and say hi.....what a lovely weekend it has been....I do hope you have enjoyed it too...

It was Clarity Cumbria yesterday and I do love to meet up with the lovely ladies up there...I also get to see my sister and family so that is a real bonus too.

This is one of the projects that we made .....

I do love to see all the different variations on a theme....and this month it was made even more special as Julie brought her sister...Lynne...a non card maker....our mission was to convert her....well Lynne made four fantastic projects and is booked in to come back in September..........so job done I think....

Back to today, I thought I would share a tag with you that I made for the Clarity Open Day..

It all started with a piece of waste paper from my Gelli plate...I am really into using waste bits up at the moment...

Next an MDF tag and some glue...

A craft Knife , glass cutting mat and sanding block...

Next some Grunge Paste and a Clarity Stencil...Petal....I do keep going back to this one...

Oh...look how it dries...

Then add some colour....and yes it had to be pink...

Some ribbon, some embellishments and the lovely swallow from the Journalling set...

Make a tag and stamp it with one of your word chain stamps....

And this is what you get...

I really enjoyed making this tag....and I wonder if something like this may go down well at a workshop....

Anyway I had better get on, another busy week....I have workshops in Hazel Grove tomorrow and then off to Kent on Tuesday for two days at the Clarity Retreat....so looking forward to catching up with friends...

Stay safe and have a good week all....

Hugs,

Jo. X

My Stencil Folder..

Good evening everyone....how is your week going? Oh ours got off to a bad start with there being complications and Tess not having her operation for a few weeks now....so Monday morning traffic was a real joy ...twice!!!!

Then Karl flew up to Aberdeen to work on an analyser. Only to find that his bag including all his tools was in Glasgow....and they could only be reunited the following day...

So today I felt like some time for me ...and what better way to do it than go and see my friends at Maria's Craft hub ....oh I did need those hugs....it was so good to spend time chatting, crafting and laughing......and generally catching up with Maria, Linda, Cindie, Jane, Viv to name but a few...

Maria holds this get together twice a month on a Wednesday and it is well worth a visit....also she is having an open day ...so Saturday September 6th is the date to put in your diary.......her brilliant craft hub and shop...is Inkymits Crafts, Unit 23, Price Street Business Park, Birkenhead, CH41 4QJ...and her blog is...

http://inkymits.blogspot.co.uk

Everyone took a project to work on and I do love to see what everyone is doing.

I took my stencil folder to work on.....I made the front and back covers at home and some pages for the Inside at Maria's.

This is the front ....it started life as a piece of grey board, and had colour added using Distress inks...

Then I built up the background with various stencils and inks...

I made a front and a back cover...

Next I added some Clarity stamps using Archival ink.

Finally I added a couple of embellishments and sprayed it with Spray' n' Shine...

Here are some of the pages that I made today...

And

And

And this was one that I made at home on my Gelli plate.

Lots of my favourite stencils.

And

As you can imagine my folder is quite thick already....and I have just got a Clarity order with more new stencils....oh goody ....more pages to make....

Thanks for sharing your time with me, enjoy your evening and see you soon,

Love and hugs,

Jo. X

Birds Of A Feather

Good morning all and welcome to a new Challenge over on the Sweet Lilac Blog.....the new theme is ...

Birds Of A Feather......

And here is my DT inspiration , as always I do hope that you like it....

Congratulations to last months winner, who receives a hamper of the gorgeous flowers.

My tag started its life as a piece of Centura Pearl card...cut to shape....

Next it was play time with various Clarity Stencils and Adirondack inks.

One of my favourites....Sail Boat Blue....

Oh and Butterscotch...

Next I added some black soot around the edges and then some crackle with the Clarity Crackle stamp.

The sentiment was stamped using black VersaFine ink.

I stamped the hummingbird stamp on a separate piece of card, added some colour with my Crafters Companion pencils and cut him out..

I started to arrange some of the flowers and attached them onto the tag using pinflair glue gel....oh and off course I had to have a little glass bottle with coordinating beads in....

Here is a closer look.

A ribbon bow and an embellishment key and my tag was complete..

If you would like to join in with our challenge just pop over to the Sweet Lilac Blog....

Have a good day....Happy Crafting and call back soon....
Hugs,
Jo. X
