Clarity comes to Stockport...

Good evening ladies and gents....hope you've had a good day.
I have had a lovely time at C.J.CardCraft in Edgeley where I ran two Clarity Workshops.

We used PanPastels and Versafine ink-Vintage Sepia to create this card...

I do love these stamps and they stamp so well that we all stamped our sentiments straight onto the card.....no matting and layering...

It was lovely to see you all and always great to have a male crafter in attendance John....
Bookings are now being taken for the next ones...

Phone Glynis on.....0161-477-7027

Another lovely craft group....

Good evening all and how is your week going?
I'm busy as usual, but I am getting lots done and ticking the jobs off the list...
The only thing is....the list seems to get longer...
Yesterday, I went to meet crafters at a Craft Group in Lowton....and what a lovely group of Crafters they were too.
I did some Clarity demonstrations for them, then had coffee and chocolate biscuits whilst the crafters had a play....
I really enjoyed myself and Thank you Jackie and Sue for making me feel so welcome.....
Oh and look at the gorgeous card and flowers that they gave me...

I would love to go back and see everyone....maybe some of my ladies could come too and have a Craft Party?
I'm off as I have some brilliant new Clarity stash to play with....whoops, sorry to work with...
Enjoy your evening....Crafty hugs...

The Next Classroom Kit

Happy Sunday to all, thank goodness the weather is better today.
Yesterday, I had a lovely day at Clarity NW run by the amazing Maria Simms..but the journey home on the motorway in all that heavy rain and thunder was not that good...but we made it ....thanks to my co-pilot Jane...
Today, I'm going to show you two cards that I made with the new classroom set....oh I so love this woodpecker stamp.....and he stamps so well...

The kit comes with a stencil and I used this with Distress Inks, Frayed Burlap, Vintage Photo and Brushed Curduroy to create the tree trunk.
The woodpecker was stamped in Black Memento ink and coloured with Graph'It markers.. I used the cloud mask and Tumbled Distress ink to create the sky....I keep practicing my sky and one day I want to be able to create one like the fabulous Emma Williams....I bow to her sun and clouds....

The kit also has this brilliant floral stamp in it which I repeatedly stamped and coloured in to make this card.

I also decoupaged some of the flowers.
I used a white gel pen to add the finishing details.

I'm so looking forward to seeing how Barbara uses these stamps in her next show....which is Saturday November 2nd.
Before I go,  just a quick reminder about my ' give away' if you haven't left a comment on the post...please do ...you may win the crafty goodies...
That's all from me for today.....I have another busy crafty week ahead, I am going to Warrington on Wednesday to meet some lovely new crafters and it's  our first Clarity with Jo workshop at C.J.Cardcrafts in Edgeley on Saturday....so looking forward to it...
Have a good week and Happy Crafting,
Jo. X

Stencillicious.....

That is my word for the fantastic stencils that Clarity are producing at the moment...I really do love to see what I can create with them....and they are all so different and so useful....
Here are two of my sample cards from last weekends TV shows...

This first one is using the Cherries stencil along with Distress inks, Dylusion sprays and Glossy Accents...oh and a cheeky little wooden embellishment that I found in my stash...

For this one I used the Apple stencil, with my Dylusion sprays...decoupage the apples and added some Card  Candi.
I do hope that you like them, before I go I must just say Hello to my new followers....Thank you for joining me in my craft journey ....it does have many ups and downs....so I do hope you remember to wear your seat belt.....oh and a special 'Hello' to Eileen and Thanks for your help on Wednesday....
Right better go as food is being cooked, wine is being chilled and both boys are out so Friday night is date night for Karl and me...........
Have a good weekend all....
Hugs....Jo. X

Good Evening....

How is your week going? It was workshops today in Hazel Grove, but before I tell you all about them...I'm going to share with you a card which I made for last months Clarity shows.
I used the Treescape stencil and the brilliant Treescape stamp...I do think that they go so well together..

The best bit is that the lovely Janet Pring who is also on the Clarity Design Team asked me if she could use my design as inspiration for one of her workshops...obviously, I said yes....I was delighted.

So this is the card that the crafters made at the Clarity Workshop in Norwich...
Thanks for the mention Janet....
Janet has a blog ....and I would love you to go and have a look...
Now back to today's workshops we made Shaker  cards....and it was all going so well until I gave the crafters their acetate.....why is acetate so clear...so clear that it disappears even when right in front of you....!!!!! Eh Rachel.....
It was so funny.....

The background was made using Tumbled Glass Distress inks and the Clarity Carollers stamp....
Baby blue flowersoft and tiny beads were used inside...

A lovely flower from Sweet Lilac flowers added the finishing detail...
That's all for me....except to say have you commented on my last post for a chance to win some goodies?
Pop back soon....
Lots of Clarity samples that I need to share with you....

Speaking of Clarity....have you seen any of the shows on Create and Craft this weekend?
Poor Barbara must be shattered....
Here is one of my samples that was shown on Friday....

It is a door hanger, I have stamped then burnt the images into the wood with my Pyrography tool...I do love the Clarity Letter Box kit....

Cracking up....

Well that is the title of my latest magazine article....and no, it doesn't mean me!!!!
It's beginners guide to Kroma Crackle.....although it did make Karl laugh...
So if you go and buy Issue 13 of Creative Stamping you will find my projects on pages 36, 37 and 38...

And keep looking, as there are others by crafters you will recognise ....with some brilliant Christmas decorations made by Maria Simms...
Here is a closer look at one of the cards...

The background was created by stamping in Distress inks...Spun Sugar and Tattered Rose...

The MDF bauble was first painted with black Gesso and then left to dry...
As Kroma Crackle dries clear, I mixed some with pink acrylic paint and
applied it...this took two days to reach the cracking design I wanted...I then painted with a coat of 'Slap It On'....this does two jobs....it stops the Kroma cracking anymore and also stops it peeling off...
Next, I stamped the dove using Black Archival ink and coloured it using Distress markers....
Some matting and layering and liquid pearl dots and job done...
The free stamps with this magazine are really good value and perfect for all those Christmas cards and gifts...
Oh wow.....I have just noticed we have reached 100 followers....welcome to my new followers and thank you so much for joining me in my crafty journey...
I will get some stash together and we will have a give away......
Thanks for popping in today....and see you again soon....Jo. X

19 degrees in October.....

Well what a lovely weekend it's been, Tess has made the most of lots of long walks in sunny weather.....
Yesterday's workshop day at 'Crafts4 u 2 do' went really well, as always the crafters were great company and Chris looked after us all really well.....
Oh and a big Thanks to Lisa who provided the cakes and some special biscuits .....just for me.....lucky me or what......
All my makes recently have been either for magazines or TV, so sorry but I can't share them yet.....so what I will show you is a little play that I have been having with my PanPastels...

This first one is a quick background and then a die cut tree added...
The die is from Dees Distinctivity....A cut above...and is called, Christmas Tree no.2
I have recently bought some metallic PanPastels...but not had much time to play with them ....

So this is a piece of card embossed with an embossing folder and then lightly coloured with Rich Gold and Bronze PanPastels....oh they are yummy....although not easy to photograph....I definitely need more time to play with these...
I am so excited to welcome another blog follower.....wow...98....just two more and it will be give away time.....
It was my Mums birthday yesterday and as she is an avid  blog reader..oh it does sound painful!!!!
Once again,,,,,,HAPPY BIRTHDAY MUM
LOVE YOU LOTS.....X
Better go...jobs to do ...and Downton Abby tonight.
Enjoy your evening all and let's hope we have a good week ahead...
Hugs....Jo. X

Fussy and Fancy Friday...

Good morning, I really can't believe that it is the 4th of October all ready ....just where has September gone????
Anyway, it is a new Challenge day over at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge Blog.......and the theme is.....
..........One for the boys........
Here is what I came up with...

The clock was made using a kit which a bought from a lovely crafty friend of mine....Karen Clare....aka...'The Clock Lady'....
The stamps are all from Clarity stamps and were stamped using Memento ink...Tuxedo Black...
Stamps used....Remountable Gents set, sports balls set and the texture set.
I added a little colour with ProMarkers and Distress inks.....Tumbled Glass and Vintage Photo..I also used a piece of sequin waste....

I decided not to add numbers but just put markers in there place with Cosmic Shimmer pva glue, the gorgeous embellishment is from Hobby House...
I really loved making this project and so glad that I can share it with you...the rest of the DT have made brilliant projects ....so why not pop over and have a look....
That is all from me today....I am off to get ready for tomorrow's workshop at Crafts4u2do in St Helens....
