Something Different!

Hello and how are you this Sunday afternoon? I am writing this on my iPad whilst Karl is driving us home after a couple of hours with my parents in Kendal.
Thanks Mum and Dad for a lovely time and especially all the chocolates.
As this year comes to a close, I thought I would share something a bit different with you.

I make cards for a pet shop....The Jungle Floor, 81 Queens Street, Morecambe, LA4 5EN.......

This all started with a birthday card for my brother with Bearded Dragons on it as he keeps them.

The Jungle Floor sells other dare I say pets, so they too are included in the card range.

Here are some of my favourites.

If you get chance and live near do go in and say hi to John and his creatures....they will make you very welcome (they only eat one visitor per day!!!!!!!).

As this will be my last blog post of the year, I would like to say a big Thank You to my lovely followers and those of you who take the time to leave such wonderful comments.
I hope you have a very happy New Year and lots of good health and happiness for 2013.
See you Next Year,
Jo. X

These In-between days.....

Hi all, I do hope that you have had a good Christmas. We have had a lovely time mainly just catching up with things...sleep being one of them.
I do find these couple of days a bit strange, neither Christmas nor New Year...
The weather is a bit wet and miserable too, oh well, .....so what have you been up to?
I did try to spend a couple of days away from my craft desk but Adam came home from work on Boxing Day and announced that he needed a card and wait for it needed it in 20mins.....well I do like a Challenge....
So this is what I came up with...

I have used Clarity stamps some lace and some embellishments.
Well I'd better go and walk Tess, enjoy your weekend and see you soon.

Two sleeps left

Here we are with two sleeps left until Christmas morning...
How are you doing? Are you ready? It will be strange in our house as Adam our eldest son will be working all day. He works in Operation Control at Manchester Airport so his shift is 6am - 6pm, not sure yet when he wants to open his presents. It could be early if he decides, before work....
Whatever you are doing I really hope that you have a relaxed and enjoyable day.
Here is Tess getting into the festive spirit.

This is a card that I made with Clarity Stamps and Adirondack inks. Although, I don't think we will get any snow this Christmas!

And here is a Christmas card for you all made with IndigoBlu products.

Please spare a thought for those less fortunate than us this Christmas.
I have used a third of my Xmas present money to buy tinned food to be used at the homeless shelter in Stockport. A little act of kindness can go a long way.
Big Christmas Hug to you all, Jo. X

Bare Forest....

Well, it is week two of the Give Away's on the IndigoBlu Blog. If you would like the chance to win the brilliant Bare Forest Stamp just go along here and leave your name.
This is such a versatile stamp and can be used for so many occasions.

So with that in mind, I made a card today with my stamp. I used FlitterGlu and flakes for the main image. I used the new Autumn Blaze Mega Flakes...have you tried them? The colours are yummy! The leaf was made to match and is from the Bloomin Great set.

For the background, I used PanPastels stamped over with FlitterGlu and then applied more PanPastel. A combination of the Script and Honeycomb background stamps was used. Faux stitching adds the finishing touches.

How are your Christmas preparations coming on? I am so far behind, so I am going to go now and make a start on sending out some cards.
Have a good weekend,   Jo. X

Not long now ....

Not long now until the big day,.....Christmas Day......it might be the same date every year, but I am so behind with my Christmas card orders....
Today I have an order for 24 assorted Christmas cards to finish, wish me luck.....
I then have to make a start on my own, a good friend of mine, Jane has offered to help. I may be calling on her and the elves, if time keeps rushing past so fast.
Here are some of the ones that I have made a start with,

They all use stamps from Hobby Art and can be found here
            http://www.hobbyartstamps.com

I have used my ProMarkers to add colour.

Glossy Accents and gems add the detail.

It is a bit wet and dull outside today, so I think I will go and make a big mug of coffee, get a packet of chocolate biscuits out of the cupboard and retreat to my craft table....I may be gone for a while!
Have a good day all and see you soon,

Madame Chic

Good evening, here we are Wednesday already..
Today,  was very enjoyable for me as it was workshop day. Thanks to all the lovely crafters who came to play and the mince pies were fab....
I thought we would do something different to Christmas. (mind you I haven't even started my own Christmas cards)...So we used a lovely stamp set from Hobby Art ---Madame Chic.. (You can buy it here)
Our first card used Distress inks and stamping to make the background. The main topper was stamped in Distress ink and then water added to give a watercolour look. Gems and netting were used to add the finishing detail.

Although, we used the same image and distress inks for the second card we got a different look by changing the colour and using paper piecing. Wishi-Washi tape (or Aladdin tape as I like to call it!) and dew drops compliment the design.

I hope you have enjoyed sharing our workshop makes, please feel free to leave a comment. Take care and see you soon. Jo. X

Hello....

I am so sorry that I have been a naughty blogger, I have been away from home for a few days. I have been to IndigoBlu H.Q. and oh, what a fantastic time I had.
It was great to meet up with Kay, Alfie, the other D.T. Members and the workforce behind the brilliant company. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly.
After last weeks sell out shows on C&C extras elves had to be shipped in to help with the packing. As my nickname is Tinkabell, I was dying to put a little note in each box that read....hand packed by Tinkabell x

I have a quick card to share with you, it is just simple stamping using the IndigoBlu stamp....Ella Bella...

I do hope you have a good weekend....keep warm and stay safe.

New Stamps from IndigoBlu

Good evening all and how are you today? Better than the weather I hope, oh it is so windy and wet out side ....
Today, I would like to show you a card that I made using some of the fab new stamps from IndigoBlu.

The main image is the Clematis Flourish stamp, I have used Memento ink and ProMarkers. This is a beautiful stamp with lots of detail.
The background has been stamped directly onto the card using Distress ink, plus the Vintage Flourish and Honeycomb background stamps.
The sentiment is from the Bloomin Great stamp set.  Ribbon and hat pins were used to compliment the design.
If you would like to see these stamps, plus more and brilliant new ways to use them join Kay Halliwell-Sutton on Create and Craft T.V. this Saturday. The 24th at 12midday and 5pm.

Workshop....IndigoBlu Christmas

Happy Friday all, hope you have had a good week and have something nice planned for the weekend. I am looking forward to tomorrow, as I am helping the fab Kay Halliwell-Sutton with her workshop....I am so excited.....I bet I won't get much sleep tonight.......
On Wednesday, I had a brilliant afternoon in the company of some lovely crafters. The workshop was to introduce them to using the FlitterGlu, Flakes and PanPastels together.
The stamp set that we used was Retro Christmas, this is a very versatile set.
The first card used the holly stamps and VersaMark ink, with PanPastels over the top, to make the background.

The main image was simply stamped in Versafine ink and edged with PanPastels. Washi tape was then added to the background paper .
Glossy Accents and Card Candi finished off the design.

The second card was made by stamping the main image with FlitterGlu, then using Morris Dance Mega-Flakes. The holly stamp was used as above and PanPastels added over the whole card. An eraser was then used to remove the PanPastel from within the wording. This is a really great technique to use.
Gold Mirri card, ribbon and gems were added to compliment the design.
I hope you like these cards, and thank you for visiting my blog.
Crafty hugs, Jo. X

For that reason I thought I would share this card with you.

All the stamps are from Clarity, with the central photograph being from my summer collection. I have used Adirondack Inks, ProMarkers, Glossy Accents and wooden embellishments to complete the design.
Enjoy your Sunday evening, Jo. X

Tree-mendous Cards

Well, here we are Sunday evening once again. I do hope that you have had a good weekend. Mine has been a mixture of craft work and family time.
Did you manage to catch Kay with the IndigoBlu show on C & C last night?
I do hope you did as she demonstrated some brilliant techniques.
Today, I thought I would show you a few of my Design Team cards.
This first one is with the Tree-mendous stamp, FlitterGlu and Flakes.

These next two use the Lollipop Tree stamp that was featured on the show.

It is a really versatile stamp and ideal for men's cards.

As you can see I am a big fan of the IndigoBlu wooden button and ribbon set too.
Right that is me done for tonight, so I will sign off. Thanks for looking in.

They are all made from HobbyArt stamps which can be found at, www.hobbyartstamps.com
