Pink Poppy

Hope you've all had a good start to the week. Just thought I would share my good news with you. I have been invited to join the IndigoBlu design team.
This is one of my first cards to appear with Kay Halliwell-Sutton on her recent TV show. It uses Distress Markers and the new Watercolour Poppy stamp for the main image and distress inks for the background. Ribbon and Glass Glintz add the finishing touches, do hope you like it.
On 26th September, I will be running two workshops using Flitter Glue and IndigoBlu stamps at HG Arts & Crafts in Poynton, Cheshire.
Thanks for stopping bye. x

Three Days with One Man & a Dog

Good evening, sorry I haven't posted a blog the last few days but I have been on a mini break. Karl and I took Tess camping to Naburn Lock near York. The campsite was brilliant and even provided lovely weather.
As you can see, I couldn't resist photographing my favourite flower (poppies).
Enjoy your weekend whatever you are doing. x

Scarecrow

Morning all, let's hope for better weather today.
Here is a card featuring one of the new Hobby Art stamps sets....Scarecrow....
I have stamped each image individually using Vintage Photo distress ink and used a water bush to drag the colour and add depth to the design.
The Scarecrow is a really versatile image and is ideal for men's cards.
See you soon. x

Clarity Homework

Good morning all, here it is Weekend again. What are your plans?
For those of you that follow Barbara Gray and Clarity Stamps, you will recognise the Petal Stamp set. This set is her chosen one for this months homework, so here is my card. I have used white embossing powder and Juniper Adirondack ink for the background. The butterflies have been stamped and embossed on vellum before being cut out and mounted.
Have a good weekend all. x

Wooden Platter

So here we are middle of the week, hope it's going well for you.
One of my passions is the art of Pyrography and I thoroughly enjoyed creating this design on a wooden platter. The beauty of this technique is that it is permanent, does not use toxic paints and therefore can be used as a chopping board.
My inspiration came from IndigoBlu and Hobby Art stamps.
Take care and see you soon. x

My First Twinchie

Hi everyone, today my personal challenge was to make my first Twinchie.
A Twinchie is a piece of artwork that measures 2" x 2" and was intriduced to me by my good friend, Vick McClean. For this one, I used the free IndigoBlu stamp from the latest edition of Craft Stamper (it's a brilliant read). The background uses distress inks and the images are stamped with Vintage Sepia Versafine Ink. Gems and glossy accents give the finishing touches.
Why not give this a try? x

Summer Roses

Good morning all, hope it's a good Saturday for you.
This card and matching envelope use a new stamp set from Hobby Art simply called Roses. There are 13 different stamps on this plate, all versatile and very useable. I stamped using Memento Ink and coloured using ProMarkers, my favourite embellishment of glossy accents finishes off the design.
The sentiment and butterflies are also stamps from Hobby Art.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and hope to see you soon. x

Pink Butterflies

The Clarity Club Challenge for May was a 'girly card' using Angelina fibre & film. This is the card I made, the background uses Clarity Stamps and Adirondack Inks. The butterflies are made by using a Clarity Stamp, Archival Ink, and some Angelina fibre in-between two layers of the fusible film. A craft iron and some brown paper are then applied to heat it all up. When cool, the butterflies were cut out and then mounted using glue gel. This was a really enjoyable card to make and a reason to iron in the day!

This card is made with the new Stamp set from Hobby Art called Flourishes. There are so many possibilities with these stamps. Here the main image is stamped with distress ink and the blue card with VersaMark, then embossed with white embossing powder.
Card Candi adds the finishing detail.

Clarity Homework

Morning all, I hope you have a good day planned.
Our Clarity homework this month was to produce a card using the Sports Set of stamps. This is my take on a card for a football fan, using a Satsuma net and a Brayer to produce the background. Juniper Adirondack was the ink used.
Remember Barbara Gray and Clarity stamps are on C&C today at 9am & 2pm.
Enjoy! x
