Wedding Day...

Good afternoon and thanks for calling in on this bank holiday....

I do hope your day is going well...both Adam and Mikey are working today so Karl and me have walked the dogs and spent some time in the garden...

Did you see Barbara on tv yesterday? What brilliant shows with great demonstrations and more sells outs....

And oh some laughter too...how Barb kept going with such a squeaky counter is beyond me...I would have lost it....

I thought I would show you the wedding set that I made for the show...

This is the front....

And this is the inside.....

I started by embossing one of the stamps from the Wee Wedding Folk..And one of the sentiments....Using gold embossing powder...

Then I added a little colour and background interest...using Jo's Bubbles stencil...well it would be rude not too...!!!

I repeated this several times just using a different sentiment....

I added some ribbon and a little heart gem....Here is the full collection...Notice the little envelope That is with the RSVP has been embossed too...

The inside of the card was decorated using cream card, some gold card, and a splash of ink....I also embossed the wee couple too...just so that it all matched...

I made a matching topper for the front...keeping the design the same...

I did like this but felt it just needed something else...

So I embossed a couple more images, cut them out and attached them ....yes ...that's better...

I do think this would make a lovely way to send all the relevant information....maps, gift list , hotels etc could also be included....

My niece is getting married next year and I am making the invitations so this has given me some ideas...

There are so many possibilities with these fabulous stamps...

Just before I go a little update on Mr. Eric ...aka shredder....he is full of the joys of spring at the moment, keeps getting me up at 6-30 am....and he loves to be in the garden...He seems to be growing every day too...

And still shredding!!!!!!

Tess is still good with him...and they play really well together...but she does love to have some quiet time...

I must just welcome our new follower....I am so grateful that you are sharing this crafty journey with me...only three more and we reach 200 in total....I will get some stash together and we will have a give away at that point....

Enjoy your evening...

Much love...

Jo. xxx

Great design and thought this was so lovely when it was shown on TV. Very crisp and clean and the subtle blue bubble work in the background ties everything together. Arrrrrr Tess looks very happy resting in the garden, and Eric looks so grown up now, they do change quickly! Xx

The show was great on Sunday and your samples were fantastic. However, I really loved this wedding set when it was shown on the show, Jo. I thought it looked very luxurious and is a brilliant idea for a wedding stationery set. I'm sure your niece will love whatever design ideas you have.
It's lovely to see a photo of Shredder aka Mr Eric. He is so grown up now. My two little dogs were waking us up early too (5.30am) so we pull the kitchen blinds right down and block off the window in the back door so they don't see the sun rise and now we get more of a lie in. My Hamish also enjoys a rest from little Izzy, it's like he says, "Hey Mum, Can't you play with her now and give me a break...pleeeease.."
It sounds like you enjoyed your walk today. It's been so nice to have a rain free day today and sit in the garden with out an umbrella lol!

Best wishes Jeanette xx

Beautiful set. I loved it on the show but it's nice to get a proper look. I took have volunteered myself to make some wedding stationary. I haven't a clue where to start but it's really nice to be able to get ideas from others. Shredder looks gawjus. Labs are the best.

I was amazed at this beautiful invitation . This would take an incredible amount of time and generosity . Watched the show and laughed a lot ..know I missed a lot also since the English accent at times is difficult for me to understand .

My tip is to practice on copier paper first and keep it simple but effective...after all it has to be easy to reproduce over and over again...also the more it all coordinates the better it looks....I would love to see photos when they are made....xxxx

Lovely to hear from you Janice, I am so chuffed that you join in with my blog...all the way from over the ocean....this set did take me a day to make...but much of that time was experimenting with the design....if I had to make more they would be much quicker...have a lovely day...xxx
