New Beginings....

Good morning , how are you today and do you have any snow?

I thought today I would share an altered book with you...I have to say I really enjoyed making this...and it is a real piece of art to treasure...

Here it is from the base.

And a close up...

I decided to create this as the new Challenge over at the Sweet Lilac Blog is new Beginings.....

So I thought I would start a new chapter.....and turn over a new page...( see what I did there!!!!)

I started with an old book....let's face it we all have them...

And used red liner tape to secure the pages....

Added some distressing....

And created the basic shape...

Then some stamping....

And some lace from Sweet Lilac...

A tag....

And some flowers.....then some leaves...

And embellishments...

And a butterfly from Clarity..

And this is what I had..

I used glue gel to secure all the flowers and leaves..

Thank you for looking in today and I would love to know what you think.....

Also why not enter the Sweet Lilac Challenge ...you could win a hamper of the gorgeous flowers...

http://sweetlilacflowers.blogspot.co.uk

I am off now as I have a basket full of washing and ironing to do....

Have a good day and call in soon...

Hugs,

Jo. xxx
