Sunny Sunday in Cumbria....

Good morning and welcome to a sunny Sunday morning in Cumbria....oh it is so good to spend time with friends and family...don't you think....life gets so hectic we all need to put the brakes on once in a while and just stop.........

So that is what I am doing today......just chatting, relaxing and walking in the fresh air....look at this weather....just perfect...

Yesterday was Clarity Cumbria, and it was so good to see the lovely crafters once again and welcome two new ladies to the fold, Rachel and Gill, it was great to see you.

This was our first project using the Clarity Hummingbird stamp and the Ginkgo stencil.

Then we made a shaving foam background....and stamped on to it...

Whilst the shaving foam was out we played with stencils...

And this is what we got...

And I love this one....

Be warned though ....this really is addictive....

After a quick clean up....you know what I am like.....then some lunch....we made a tag.....

Spot the lovely Sweet Lilac Flowers.....

Next was some stamping, embossing with clear embossing powder and painting with Perfect Pearls....

All the stamps, stencils and Perfect Pearls can be found on the Clarity website...

http://www.claritystamp.co.uk

Our next Clarity Cumbria is on Saturday 19th July...if you would like to join us...just email me at jrcrafts28@gmail.com....

Well Karl has just brought me a coffee.....so I will say bye for now....

Have a lovely day, what ever you do...

Love and hugs...

Summertime.

Good morning and thank you for sharing a few moments with me....

Today is a new Challenge over at the Fussy and Fancy Friday Blog....our new theme is Summertime and it is hosted by the lovely Vannessa.....and we are sponsored by Crafty Sentiments Designs...

Do pop over to the blog and have a look, there are some stunning projects.....

It would be even better if you could join in....I do love to see all your wonderful work...and we have a Top 5 for every Challenge...

Here is what I came with , I hope you like it....

I started with two MDF heatts from none other than the MDF Man.....http://www.mdfblanks.com.

Added some dries clear glue and it is best to use your fingers to spread the glue right to the edges of the MDF....next place this down on the reverse side of your paper....I used some Graphic 45 sheets...so yummy....now leave the glue for a few moments to do its job....

I would recommend using a glass cutting mat too, it really makes the cutting out much easier.

I carefully cut around both hearts...and then did some light sanding...

On separate card I stamped the Clarity butterfly and my word ' Dream'

Back to the hearts and I added some colour around the edges with Distress ink ...Brushed Corduroy.

Plus some Spiced Marmalade ....also I added some D.I. to the word and the key...what a difference this makes.

I used some white flowers from Sweet Lilac Flowers, I also coloured these with D.I.

Tess decided to sit on my bench....so the next stages were done standing up....no room for me!!!!

I used Spectrum Noir pencils to add some colour to the butterfly.

I did have fun arranging the embellishments....plus one of those gorgeous little glass bottles...oh I do love them...

And this is what I came up with....here is a closer look...

Thank you for joining me today and to all the lovely people who leave comments...I really do appreciate it...

It is Clarity Cumbria tomorrow...so I need to get a wriggle on....

Have a good weekend, be nice to each other and see you soon

Much Love,

Jo. X

That Summer feeling

Good evening all, I do hope that you have had a good day. I have as it has been workshop day in Hazel Grove and I really do love to spend time with my crafty friends....we have built up such a great friendship over the last couple of years and they have been such a large part of my craft journey...

Today we used a much overlooked Clarity Stamp....the BeachBabes......if you don't have this one...you really need it....

The image always make me smile.....we used Distress inks...Mustard seed and Spiced Marmalade plus Sail Boat Blue Adirondack ink...some spritzing.....stamping in black Archival ink.....a touch of white fine liner pen....

Some gorgeous Sweet Lilac flowers, dew drops and a happy, smiley card was complete....

Our second card encorporated an embossing folder from the Die'sire range....Beach huts..

Colour added with the clarity stencil brushes...( still my favourite tool ever) plus some bunting.....

I am off now to cook some food, then catch up with Mr. Rice...

Thanks for looking in, take care and enjoy your evening....

Hugs.

Weekend play..

Good evening and thanks for looking in. I do hope that your week is off to a good start. I have a very busy week ahead and today I have been working on more magazine work....

So I thought I would share a couple of my demos from the Clarity Open days...

When I saw these two new stencils hanging up...I knew I Needed them....

This is Peacock...and I know my friend Maggie is going to love it...

And this is Horse Head.....and I am sure this is going to be very popular too....if the weekend is anything to go bye...

As always I have only used my three favourite colours to make them.....Butterscotch, Raspberry and Sail Boat Blue....Adirondack inks...and they can all be found along with the stencils on the Clarity

http://www.claritystamp.co.uk

Well I am off now to walk Tess, make some food for the males in the house then back to samples for a couple of hours ....it is Clarity Cumbria again on Saturday and I am really looking forward to it....

Enjoy your evening,

Much love,

Jo. X

What a weekend...

Good evening and welcome to our new follower, please come on in and make yourself at home.

What a fantastic few days I have had at the Clarity open days...it is such a privilege to be part of such a talented demonstration team and to be a member of the Clarity Family.

Barbara, Dave and the whole gang worked so hard. Here we are getting the venue ready...

We all had name badges....imagine if they got mixed up!!

It was so good to meet all of you and to put names to faces.....

The venue was perfect and even the weather was just what Barbara had ordered...

I need to thank Janice ( the lovely lady who answers the phone at Clarity Towers ) who was my host for two nights....and boy did she spoil me....Thanks.....you are a jem....I loved every minute....

After two days we were a bit tired.....poor Maria needed to put her feet up...

Meet the Team.....

I will share my demos with you later in the week....it was a long drive home last night....

And this is why it took so long....

Night, night all,

Take care and see you soon,

Jo. X

Summer Holidays.

Good morning , yes me again....I am really getting into this blogging thing....don't worry I will never be as good as Barbara and blog everyday....

Today is a new Challenge over at Sweet Lilac Paper Flowers and the new theme is Summer Holidays...

This is what I came up with, I do hope that you like it.

I must thank all the lovely crafters that entered the challenge last month and congratulations to the winner who will get a hamper of the gorgeous flowers...and remember the winner is chosen at random...

I started my card by creating the sun.

Then I added the sky, I do love these Stencil brushes...

Next I added some sea..

Followed by some sand..

Then some Clarity stamps...

Some shading..then colouring with Distress Markers.

And this is what we have so far...

A selection of Sweet Lilac Flowers.

Some embellishments and the design is complete.....I did resist from putting a message in the bottle ...Linda...lol...

Here is a closer look at the flowers...and yes I am really into these little bottles...

You can enter the challenge here... http://sweetlilacflowers.blogspot.co.uk. You can also see the wonderful projects from the rest of the D.T.

I am off now to spend the day with Karl....my one day of the week....and I am going to enjoy every minute of it...have a good day what ever you are up to.

As it is Fathers Day tomorrow I thought I would share some of the cards that I have made...and yes I am safe....no surprises will get spoilt....

How cute is this stamped image....

Who says men's cards are difficult.....?

All the stamps and stencils are from Clarity......http://www.claritystamp.co.uk

Just before I go here is one of today's cards....

I really love pattern building....and how cool is the shading with the stencil brushes...
