Bloomin Great Workshops

Yesterday was workshop day at HG Arts and Crafts in Poynton and we had a great time playing ...sorry ...crafting with FlitterGlu and Flakes.
We used the lovely Bloomin Great stamp set from IndigoBlu and Royal Peacock Mega-Flakes.

This first card also has Peacock feathers distress ink on it....my new favourite colour....

The second card is an easel card and the leaves are made by stamping with FlitterGlu and then sprinkling glitter over the image...
Wishi Washi or 'Aladdin' tape as I like to call it.....is used to add some contrast...
I do hope you like these, thank you for looking today and I just have time to say 'Hello' to my newest blog follower....Anne....
Welcome to the mad house!!!!!!

My clever ladies...

Hello all, oh how cold is it outside?
I am suffering today with a cold, so instead of Tinkerbell I look more like all seven dwarfs rolled into one.......with a large portion of Sneezy and Grumpy!!!!!
Enough of me, one of my regular crafty ladies has had some of her work published in Creative Cardmaking magazine ..

Well Done Julie, I am so proud of you and on behalf of all the other members of our lovely Craft Workshop Clan may I offer you many congratulations and a very large pat on the back.

Off to put my feet up now....
Happy Crafting....

Poole's Cavern......

Hi and how are you feeling this Sunday? I have a bit of a cold but nothing that will stop me crafting....
I have had two hours off today to watch Kay on C&C with the fab new IndigoBlu stamps ......good excuse to sit and relax with coffee and chocolate...
Now on to yesterday and the launch of my new Workshops in Buxton....
Poole's Cavern is a beautiful place, it has many amenities and the staff are so helpful.

There is a lovely gift shop and a great little cafe that makes the most wonderful hot chocolate...

This is the school room ready for the workshop.
Thank you to the eleven crafters who braved the frost and snow to join me..
Our first card was a project using Kanban toppers and was a good introduction for the new ladies....

For the second card we used Hobby Art stamps and ProMarkers as an introduction to stamping.....I did warn the ladies about my passion for stamping and how we will be doing much more of it in future workshops.

I had a brilliant day and if you get the chance to visit Poole's Cavern, please do so as it really is well worth it.

Thanks for looking in today and see you soon,
Jo. X

Back home and Workshops

Well, I came home last night and today had two workshops......no rest for the wicked, I here you say.....
Today, we used another stamp set from Hobby Art ....Anna's Collection-Special Wishes....this is a versatile set of stamps and works really well with the Perfect Pearls....
These are our projects...

We concentrated today on using the perfect Pearl powder, we stamped using VersaMark ink and then brushed over with the powder....the smooth black IndigoBlu card is perfect for this technique...it also has a built in fixative, so no need for any fixing spray...

Here is another card made using the same technique...

It was great to see everyone and catch up on all your news....thanks for travelling so far Linda....
See you all soon. Jo. X

Blazing Poppies

Hi, hope you are well and keeping dry and warm.
Today was a busy day with two workshops, but so enjoyable...I do love crafty time with my friends. One of our crafters is in hospital and we all wish her all the best and a speedy recovery.
Another one of our gang has her Birthday today, .....any excuse for a party.
Today, we made this card with the lovely new Blazing Poppies stamp from IndigoBlu.

The main image was stamped with Memento ink and then coloured with ProMarkers. The smaller image is a mini Love Is stamp and was simply stamped in black ink. The background used a selection of background stamps and Distress Inks. Ribbon and a Memory Box die finish off the design.
Our second project after coffee and chocolate biscuits was to start and make a Paper and Card tag book.......
This is my idea of a way to keep information to hand .

A variety of tags are made from different materials. The front is decorated accordingly and information is written on the reverse...
For example one tag was made from Centura Peale card and stamped on the reverse with Distress ink.
It is a great way of recording what type of ink pads are used also...
This can be hung up in your craft room with more tags and ideas added.
Happy Crafting and see you soon,
Jo. X

Simple Stamping.....

Oh what a wet Sunday it has been, roll on warm summer days.....
Well I had an eventful morning last week, whilst Tess and me were having our early morning walk, an empty car rolled backwards down the street towards us......picture little old me and big daft Labrador holding the back of this car trying to stop it and shouting for help....thankfully a passing motorist helped, we halted it and kept things safe until the police came.....And I thought my nickname was Tinkerbell not Wonder Woman!!!!!
On a crafty note here is another card using the Live, Laugh, Love stamp plate from IndigoBlu. The background is made with PanPastels and a homemade mask....

A nice , quick and easy card....
Thanks for looking in and see you soon,
Hugs Jo. X
