A Girl Needs Shoes!

Hi all, hope you are having a good start to the weekend.
Today I would like to share this card with you. It was created with the small shoe stamp from Clarity and I used the Wild Plum Adirondack Ink pad. A variety of masking techniques were needed to add pattern to the shoe and Glossy Accents gave shine. Card candi was added as the finishing touch.
Take Care and thank you for popping by!

Sweet Treats

Today has been a lovely sunny day in Cheshire and I have been crafting all day, pure bliss!
This is my Tasty Make and uses digi images from Sundae of Seasons CD by Polka Doodles. I used Promarkers to colour them in and glossy accents to add shine. Card Candi adds the finishing touches.
I made a triangular pocket and attached it to the front of the card to house the recipe sheet.
I am entering this into:
Allsorts Challenge, Week 147 - Use a Cooking Recipe
Polka Doodles, Week 12 - Mothers Day

Workshop - Promarkers & Copics

What better way to spend a Wednesday than meeting friends and 'colouring in'.
Our theme for this weeks workshop was Alcohol Markers and I choose to use Promarker and Copic pens. Our first project was to colour this lovely Molly Bloom stamped image and add shading and texture by using a variety of techniques. Memento Ink was used, as this is the ink of choice when stamping and using Alcohol Markers.
Our second stamped image was a beautiful Rose Stamp from Hobby Art, ideal for colouring with Promarkers. These were also used around the edge of the mount to create a 'faux matt and layer' (saving time and paper). The ribbon was originally white and was coloured using Promarkers and is a way of everything matching beautifully. Glossy Accents was used to look like droplets of rain on the petals, to give a realistic effect.
This is one of the sample cards which I took as an example to show the ladies how it is easier to choose the background paper first and the colour accordingly. This really does save time!
Once again, a wonderful time was had by all, with plenty of friendly banter, crafty hints and an award given for the best homework. Well done Sue!

Home Tweet Home

Today, I would like to share this card with you. I made it for my niece and her boyfriend who are about to move into their first home together. I think that these images are perfect and are printed from the Candy Doodles Collectors edition CD from Polka Doodles. I have used Promarkers to colour them in and then added a computer generated removable sentiment. The backing paper can also be found on the CD.
This is my offering for Week 11, Polka Doodle Animal or Bird Challenge.

Say it with Flowers

Hi all, I hope you are well. We have not had a good start to the Rice week, as our younger son (well, I say younger, he is 20) has epilepsy and has had a few bad days of fits. So I have had to put crafting on hold.
Until today, when I made this card which I am sharing with you. The stamp used is Roses by Hobby Art, coloured with Promarkers, Daisy Dreams paper added, and Spellbinders used to cut shapes in Coredinations Card.
It is my offering this week for the Allsorts Challenge, Week 145 - Say it with Flowers.

An Award - How Exciting!

I am so thrilled to receive my first Blog Award - Sent from a very special and generous crafter - Jane (who's bog is brill, please hop over to have a look - http://janescraftybits.blogspot.com/).
I am so new to blogging and am learning all the time, so big thank you to Jane.
The idea of the Liebster Blog Award is to spread the love from one small blog (under 200 followers) to other small blogs. This helps to spread knowledge and readership

To accept the award, you must:
1) Link back to the person who gave it and thank them for thinking of you.
2) Post the award to your blog.
3) Give the award to 5 bloggers (with less than 200 followers) that you appreciate and value.
4) Leave a comment on the blogs of the five people you have chosen to let them know.
"Liebster" in German means "dearest", so to carry on the Liebster tradition, I am going to pass the award on to 5 people who's blogs have been an inspiration to me and my crafting.

Jenny - The first blog I ever went on and my initial inspiration, http://www.jennymayes.com/
Kate - Who has introduced me into the world of Scrapbooking, http://scrappingbookworm.blogspot.com/
Ali - Truely enthusastic crafter, http://clevercrafter.blogspot.com/
Guilly - Not just an inspirational crafter, but a truely inspirational lady, http://ctrublu.blogspot.com/

Workshop - Ideas for Spring & Summer

Wednesday was workshop day and what a lovely time we all had.
Our first project, was a decorated paper bag which I thought would be a pleasant change to a card. We made rosettes and bunting, and used distress inks, stamps and Anita's butterflies to add pzazz. A bar of chocolate inside the bag just finished off the project perfectly (not sure how much chocolate made it home!).
Our matching card was made by using, the 'labels four small' die and the Grand Calibur to cut out an aperature. Distress inks, Hobby Art stamps and more bunting were used to build up the design. Co-ordinating butterflies were attached and a few gems, added the finishing touches.
The crafty ladies made brilliant projects to take home, plus plenty of ideas and enthusiasm.

Paper Doilies, Bakers twine, card candi and seambinding ribbon add the finishing touches. Spread your Wings

Hi, this is a first for me, a piece of altered art. I have used Clearly for Art modelling film, wow it is such fun to use - just stamp on it, cut the image out, heat up and shape. The stamp used was a Clarity butterfly and the roses were cut using a Marianne Die, it is my entry for this weeks Allsorts Challenge. Wish me luck!
